2024-02-04 22:02:24 +0000 UTCWithout getting into the thousands and THOUSANDS of theories that fans have worked out about how the time travel works here, there's two main points that clear things up: 1) Each time an Alpha (Or character with the Alpha's blood) dies, time resets to the last time they woke up from being asleep the day BEFORE. When Cage got the power after blowing up the Alpha at the very beginning, that was when he was kicked awake at the army base. So, every time he dies from then on he resets right to being kicked awake the day before the invasion. 2) When he got the blood of the Omega in him at the end, that started a whole new cycle. Since the kick-awake is now earlier "today", the last time he woke up the day before is when his helicopter landed and he went to meet with the general. So he jumped back to THAT spot. There's no OFFICIAL word on what happens in fifty years when he dies naturally of old age, but most fans assume that with the Omega dead there's no time resetting at all anymore. So going forward it's life like normal for him.
