Added 2022-04-30 16:21:32 +0000 UTCOne of my ears was pierced incorrectly when I was a baby. So, now it’s painful to put on and take off certain types of earrings in my left year. For my right ear the piercing is straight across and has zero issues but for my left one it’s sloped due to being pierced at an angle. So it’s hard to put in stud earrings that are straight across and often causes irritation. It’s easier with earrings that are at a slope like most dangling (hook) ones. (Problem is, I prefer stud earrings lol) I often have to spin the earring at an angle to put it in. Sometimes it’s so painful I have to stop and just not wear earrings.
Here is my left ear after taking out a stud earring. It’s a light throbbing pain and it turns red. But the irritation goes away within an hour of removing the earring usually.
Most of the irritation is almost gone in this photo but you can kinda see how the piercing swells up a bit from the incorrect angle it was pierced at.
