2025-10-18 02:04:24 +0000 UTCWhen Disney had the balls to push the boundaries these are the results you get. Amazing story telling and a lot of emotions. Hoping Disney makes a comeback when it comes to animated film making. The last couple of years they’re movies have been flops imo.

And that was at the very beginning of the movie when that baby gorilla dies. The first being the lion, King. Both of those movies still bring me to tears when I watch them.. The music, the score, it pierces your heart.

There’s a few comments that pretty much sum up my experience watching this movie so I will try to spare u the long and repetitive comments 😂 I was exposed to adult themes at a young age. Long story short, I was abt 6 or 7 when I watched this movie for the first time (Also watched the lion king and Titanic around that time 😂) and the adult themes in those movies never bothered me. If anything it actually made me more emotional mature than a lot of the kids in my grade. I was always told by adults that I was very mature for my age. I understand that some of those themes may be somewhat inappropriate and u want to help ur son process some things and that’s okay. No one should ever have a say in ur parenting style. However, in regard to the lessons, this is the type of movie where there really isn’t a lesson but it’s more of a story. And tbh not every movie needs to have a lesson. I think this is more of a mother-son relationship thing. It really shows that just bc u didn’t give birth to a baby that doesn’t mean ur not their mother. Btw “You’ll be in my heart” was actually played at my cousin’s wedding as a dance between her husband and his mom. It was so cute. 🥰 but yeah man, that’s pretty much it. Also, I can see that u are an awesome dad and ur son is blessed to have u guide him!

2025-10-15 20:12:34 +0000 UTCI would actually place Tarzan as a top 5 Disney animated movie for me. The music plays a huge role as it’s perfectly made and suited for the movie. It guides you through the story and adds layers of emotion, understanding, and connection. You’ll be in my heart has to be one of my favorite songs of all time as well. I have a strong emotional connection to it. I was a kid who loved Disney movies that had songs I loved too. So if I loved the music, I’d also love the movie. But that’s bc music is life to me. Of course I love the story and the characters as well but with the music, the movie is elevated to a top 5 movie for me. Theres only a few Disney animated movies I don’t mind not really having a soundtrack which include Brave and Finding Nemo bc the stories are well written and executed. But hell no I wouldn’t put Toy Story or Aladdin over Tarzan, I heavily disagree but to each their own😅
