I love the representation of Truth in this series as both this impersonal law of nature and also the reflection of each person's inner reality, a mirror of who they truly are. The fact that he celebrates when Ed gets the right answer shows that he's not cruel, though Truth can certainly feel cruel (as when we can't accept who and what we are instead of learning from our human limits). "You must have seen the answer with your own eyes." Even at the end, the Dwarf's arrogance won't allow him to admit his mistake, whereas Ed sees his childhood hubris and what's really important (hint: not unlimited power or knowledge). Great reaction!
