The first two crimes actually took place not far from my childhood home where I grew up and my parents still reside. Obviously our house was built in the neighborhood over 2 decades after the events of this film; but it was quite an experience for me personally as a young child/teen hearing stories about this killer and his unfortunate connection to our city, but not understanding the gravity of it until I got older when I finally saw this movie and ironically went to college to study psychology and forensic science. Little did I know that I spent years going to Blue Rock Springs park (2nd crime scene) for countless picnics and birthdays, and drove past Lake Herman Rd (1st crime scene) all throughout my teen years, on the way to friends' houses which also eventually became a frequent practice road when I started to learn how to drive. I had no clue that those places that held such fun and positive memories for me was where a lot of dark true crime history took place that's still heavily discussed today. Anytime I come across this film it brings up really interesting and weird feelings, given the stark contrast of my own experiences vs. the victims who, cruelly and unfairly went through the opposite, and were taken from this world all too soon.

Exactly. It's going to seem like ALA is the Zodiac when you're only given Greysmith's "evidence" for it. I've been interested in this case for 30 years and Allen may be the most well known suspect but he's not the only one. A few others have much stronger claims to it than Allen. I've always favored Ross Sullivan. And it's odd Zodiac suddenly stopped contacting police the same time and year which he died. We'll likely never know for sure but I always tell people to look beyond this movie and really examine the other suspects.

It’s pretty accurate but they focused too much on Arthur and not the other suspects. I don’t think Arthur is the Zodiac killer as nothing directly links him to it. The movie is also based off the book by Graysmith so it’s a bit skewed by his obsession

While I love the acting, filmmaking, etc for this movie, it's kind of out of date for facts pointing to Arthur Lee Allen as Zodiac. This was based on a book and research Greysmith did before bigger scientific evidence and more viable suspects were brought into the discussion. Like Allen was in a mental hospital for a few years between the Zodiac's last murder and the complete halt of communication from the Zodiac (1977). There's no way he's sending Zodiac letters during that time. Like I said, I love everything about this aside from the Robert Greysmith insistence that it's Allen.
