Patreon Feedback 01
Added 2015-04-02 16:19:21 +0000 UTCHey guys, I've changed up the tiers and would like your feedback on them. $3 - First level is the Tip Jar. This will allow you to enter a monthly request raffle. Your request may be entered multiple times, depending on how many months you have been pledged (not counting previous months before April 2015. $10 - Second level, the same as the previous but also unlocks all art content I'll be posting. $15 - Third level, unlocks all full-res content + PSDs and you're given "vouchers" for every month you pledge. Vouchers pay off 5% of a commission and can be stacked to pay one off completely. I'd also like to hear your thoughts on how commissions were handled through Patreon. It's no Paypal but was the process smooth for all of you? Was the distribution fair in your opinion? Please let me know what you think.

2016-04-15 03:25:52 +0000 UTCExcellent, I think this newer tier system's even better. Provided others agree, I'm very happy how you've set it now. Thanks so much for hearing me and everyone else out all this time. :)

2015-04-02 20:30:27 +0000 UTCFull-res images are now available in the $5 tier level. No PSDs, no commission stuff.

2015-04-02 19:16:09 +0000 UTCI quite liked the handling of commissions, I think it's the most efficient way to handle payment of first come first served slots. Being lucky enough to win a raffle and having a friend who scored a commission from yourself. Firstly with the raffle, that was available at the $20 tier but the cost of the commission reward was 25, logically it'd make more sense to set this tier to 25 to prevent any payment confusion. Commission handling was superb. It would be nice to see what's been commissioned and maybe a few wip shots (early approved sketch or flat colours in a lower res) as you work on them, just so they dont turn up out of the blue on your tumblr :p Other than that, keep rocking the awesome art!

2015-04-02 19:16:07 +0000 UTCI made these changes with simplicity in mind, to keep from having too many tiers to confuse patrons. I'll see what I can do though.

2015-04-02 18:59:43 +0000 UTCI took a look at the updated tiers, and I was wondering if maybe there is a place for a tier between 5 and 15 for full resolution png without the psd. I don't even have a program to open psd files, so I never use them. It just feels kinda weird that I have to get the tier with psd files to also get full-size png files.

2015-04-02 18:03:26 +0000 UTCIf it would be feasible for you, that would be awesome to have. Like I said, the raffle is a good idea but given the choice between that and art access (even to just some of it, or later access than higher tier patrons get), I'd love to still see your works as they go. Thanks for replying, and so soon!

2015-04-02 17:39:34 +0000 UTCMaybe an alternative to the vouchers, or just the high resolution/PSD files is enough for the price jump from 10 to 15 anyway. Know the voucher is an added bonus but feels a bit like a tease too if there 1 or 2 commissions per month with 25-30 people vying for them. Sorry, not trying to be negative about it. Just constructive feedback. :)

2015-04-02 17:26:01 +0000 UTCYeah, commissions are a weird thing right now. I don't necessarily need to take a lot these days so I guess people shouldn't expect more than a few at a time. As for distribution, I may end up doing a raffle or first-come-first-serve but they both come with a lot problems. Lots to think about. >.

2015-04-02 17:20:48 +0000 UTCI wish there was a tier where I got full resolution pictures without any of the commission stuff. I just want to support you while getting the best end results of your art without any of the commission stuff because I don't really have anything in particular to commission.

2015-04-02 17:17:50 +0000 UTCYup, still working on the milestones at the moment.

2015-04-02 17:11:43 +0000 UTCYou're right. I'll see what I can do about adding another tier then.

2015-04-02 17:11:26 +0000 UTCAh, bit disappointed in the changes after finally seeing a commission spot one open up, but understand your wanting to change things up. The commission discount is a nice idea, but it really depends how limited commissions spots end up being as well if they're really useful or not to be honest. Either way, sounds like you're making changes for a good reason, and hope the new format works out for you.

2015-04-02 17:09:28 +0000 UTCI really like the request raffle idea, having the tokens stack but also capping them at a max of three seems pretty sensible. Only problem for me is that I'd love to still access all your art but I can't really manage a $10 monthly donation right now. Not that that isn't still a fair amount to ask for considering all that you'll be posting, just saying that obviously there's bound to be a few folks in my position.

2015-04-02 17:05:23 +0000 UTCI think the commissions were handled smoothly. No issues on my end. I do prefer being able to pay immediately rather than waiting until the end of the month, but that's just me wanting to make sure I have it set aside and don't spend it accidentally. As for the tip tiers, I think they're great! Nice balance. Are you changing up the milestones as well?

2015-04-02 16:56:36 +0000 UTCSounds fine to me. I'm already pledged at the $3 tier, so I'm just here to throw you a few bucks every month to keep you going. Getting into a reward raffle is a nice bonus. On a related note, I noticed that I was automatically signed up to "no reward" instead of the "tip jar" tier. That might just have been me, but I'd advise everyone to check their pledge levels, just in case.

2015-04-02 16:50:09 +0000 UTCI think it's a pretty interesting idea! 20 months of pledging 15+ dollars equals a free commission, so now I just have to wait a year and a half! =D Also, perhaps you could think of one or two tiers more with just a little bit more incentive.
