December Credits Processed

By now almost everyone who is eligible should have had their credits for December deposited in their accounts on the dsp3000.games website.
It's taken a bit longer than expected because we are in the middle of resolving some database issues.

Database issue
I say almost everyone because there are about six accounts with some corrupted saves in them which have slowed down the database connection to them significantly enough to prevent me from adding credits.

Rest assured though we are working on a fix for this anomaly and you will get your credits and your account back to normal.
Note that the corrupted save issue is also present on about another 15 or so accounts. Not bad enough to stop me from adding credits but significant enough to slow down individual game saves and load ins.

While we have identified the issue, we don't know the exact cause. All we do know is that it's not generated by the code we have written, but there must be something going on with some browser characteristics which is generating thousands of lines of random variables and including them within game saves.
This excess of unwanted data is the cause of the database connection slow downs.

The updates we have been working on are almost ready to implement. They will automatically clean up the corrupted saves by identifying the variables generated correctly by the game and discarding anything else. It will also prevent the issue from re-occurring in the future.

Unfortunately this has mostly effected some of the most active players with multiple saves.
I will be in touch with those people during the coming week to resolve the situation and add any credits due. I'd also like to investigate if there are any common factors which may have been causing the issue.

A reminder about what credits are for
You can use credits to unlock the bonus scenes while playing the game on the website. You will also be able to access other features using credits in future updates.

Here is a reminder of what you get each month if you are a dsp3000 Patron...
Executive Tier members = 500 credits per month
Faculty Tier members = 100 credits per month

You can also save money and get a substantial lump sum of credits by becoming an Annual supporter too!
