Patreon Service Fee

You might not be hearing much about this since they haven't sent out emails to Patrons yet, but it looks like Patreon is changing how they charge and divide up fees for Patrons/Creators.
Here's an FAQ regarding the new change:

What do you guys think? Bad move on Patreons part?

I'm reading and hearing a lot about this change and how it'll hurt the smallest creators and pledgers https://twitter.com/Burrito_Tim/status/938853947443425280

2017-12-07 23:13:24 +0000 UTCI have a feeling this will cause people to pull their pledges. Who wants to be charged for what is basically charity one cannot even claim on their taxes.
2017-12-07 04:11:41 +0000 UTCeven more to pay for us, not great

2017-12-07 03:31:15 +0000 UTCThat's going to add up to a lot for me, on the order of $40. Not cool.

2017-12-07 01:20:46 +0000 UTCThis, unfortunately, means I'll have to reduce or cut support for some of the artists I support. It hurts to do that, but 35 cents per supporter per month adds up way too quickly. I'm not sure what they were thinking on this one.

2017-12-07 01:19:58 +0000 UTCThe 0.35 per pledge is a bit of a jerk move, on top of the 2.9% fee. I'm all for you guys getting more, but for us it should be a bit more of a flat rate or a percentage, not both. As of now I won't be dropping out of supporting those I do.
