I Turned My Life Into A Chuunige VN 05
Added 2025-03-24 10:08:53 +0000 UTC"Yo, Yamagachi! C'mere!"
Shinji was waving at Shinsuke... from inside of an alleyway of all things. It was as if he had been waiting for him, which was a hard thing to do seeing as they left school at the same time— No actually, now that Shinsuke thought about it, Shinji should have left later, seeing as he was the vice-captain of a club.
This made him think Shinji had run all the way to the alleyway so he could do whatever he was trying to do.
And Shinsuke Yamaguchi was correct, of course. At least for the most part. Shinji Matou had not run, which is why he was not sweaty, instead he had asked his Servant to carry him. Which he found to be embarrassing, but it was a price worth paying.
Because he would now get to dish out his revenge for what Shinsuke Yamaguchi had been doing to him. To his things.
Except there was one problem. "Yeah, I'm not going there."
Shinsuke Yamaguchi had avoided a creepy dark forest, now he would avoid this creepy dark alleyway, even if the sun had not completely set yet. It's not like he thought Shinji would kill him or anything, but he also didn't want to get beaten up.
The boy did consider the chance of this being another VN event, but he then decided that from now on he would skip events where he got beaten up. Mostly because getting beaten up sucked. Obviously.
"Hah?" Shinji did not expect this. "But—"
"But nothing, dude." Shinsuke shrugged. "Sorry, but I'm not the type who willingly walks into a beating."
Yes, Shinsuke Yamaguchi wouldn't purposefully put himself into danger. It was why he had avoided a dangerous woman like Taiga Fujimura and went for easy chicks like Rin, Sakura, and Illyasviel instead.
That attitude wouldn't save him here, though.
"Tsk, whatever." Shinji clicked his tongue in annoyance, but this didn't matter. He still had his ways. "Rider, drag him in." It was time for revenge!
For the grave crime of talking with Rin Tohsaka and his sister/toy, Sakura Matou, Shinji Matou would... He would make Rider suck him to death or something. Shinji didn't exactly have an elaborate revenge plan.
"Rider—?" It happened in an instant.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi was just a normal human at the end of things, so his eyes barely perceived a chain wrapping itself around his arm. All he understood was that he was suddenly being dragged and that his arm was being torn to pieces.
"Ugh...! A-aaaah!!!" Naturally, he screamed.
"Hey, keep your mouth shut!" Something that Shinji didn't appreciate. It wasn't late enough to have zero chance of someone showing up.
"The h-hell...?" Shinsuke began growing accustomed to the pain surprisingly quickly. Quickly enough that he began making sense of the situation.
He had fallen to the ground, so he raised his head to look up and saw that person Shinji called Rider. Or at least that was his assumption.
She was strangely gorgeous. The latter part was easy to justify, seeing as she looked hot enough to be a supermodel while also dressing like a super hooker. The strange part then came from how this supermodelhooker was carrying the chain that dragged him into the alleyway.
His jaw hit the floor at the sight.
Seriously... what was happening?
Shinji patted the woman's shoulder. "Speechless? I don't blame you. This woman over here is Rider. My Servant. She's amazing, isn't she?" Even as he complimented her, Rider looked more annoyed than anything else.
Shinsuke was still trying to make sense of the situation. "Servant...? Matou, are you... what are you?" He didn't get this at all.
Since when did stuff like this exist? He was pretty sure the woman wasn't in the alleyway before, not to mention how she had pulled him in so easily. It was... supernatural.
No way. There was absolutely no way.
Shinji grinned. "Me? I... I am a mage." He wasn't, but only by technicality. Besides, everyone would acknowledge him as one once he won the Holy Grail War. "And Rider here? She's a hero. A legendary hero from history." It was like he was a kid bragging about getting some legendary toy for Christmas.
Shinsuke was suitably impressed. "I see." But at the same time, he wasn't here.
That is to say, his mind was still wandering around, trying to make sense of this. Shinji... Shinji was just supposed to be a random rival in Sakura's route. The type of jerk who tries to bully the protagonist and got put in his place later.
And he still felt like that, if Shinsuke was being honest. So how...?
Shinsuke Yamaguchi suddenly made a connection. One that he needed to test. The supernatural part of this didn't surprise him too much, not when he had met a literal goddess, but when it came to supernatural in VNs, there were typically two options.
Either it was a horror VN or... "Shinji, does Rider like... have super crazy manga powers? Is she like... Goku and stuff?"
Shinji was confused by his classmate's question, but he answered nonetheless. "Y-yes...?" Shouldn't Yamaguchi be despairing right now? He knew he was about to die, right?
"Oh." So the second theory was the right one, probably.
This whole mess was a Chuunige.
What was a Chuunige, you ask? Simple, it was a Visual Novel with Chuunibyou elements. Superpowered individuals, long monologues about the meaning of life, that type of stuff. It also tended to still have harems, or more accurately heroine routes, like other VNs.
Shinsuke sighed. "No, that's too soon..." He muttered to himself.
It was too soon to jump to such a crazy conclusion. Shinji hadn't even given some grand speech that would get him mocked online yet.
Shinji chose that moment to kick the boy who was already downed. "Stop talking to yourself like I'm not here!" This... this was just like the first time he had confronted Shinsuke Yamaguchi.
Did the bastard really not see him as a threat...!?
The bastard who thought himself good enough for Tohsaka didn't see him as a threat even with Rider by his side!?
For Shinji, that was unforgivable.
So he kept kicking Shinsuke. "Don't fucking joke around with me! Do you know who I am!? Do you know who you are!? I'll tell you! You're just a normal idiot who doesn't deserve to even look at Sakura! Much less, Rin!"
He continued. "That's why you're going to die, you hear me? I wasn't going to actually kill you, but since you think you're above me, I'm going to teach you a lesson and put an end to your miserable life!"
"See if you can mock me while dead! You piece of garbage!" As Shinji's rant went on, he became more and more filled with ecstasy.
And Shinsuke Yamaguchi became more and more filled with certainty... this really was a Chuunige, wasn't it? Sakura and her deceptively big tits had dragged him straight into a supernatural adventure.
Wait...! Was she a villain!? Her brother was clearly one after all! Had he coined a fucking Chuunige female villain!? There was a high rate of sadistic rapists among that crowd.
This wasn't good.
Especially because despite Shinji being a tutorial boss, his kicks did hurt. Shinsuke imagined whatever Rider was going to do with him was going to hurt way more as well.
If this was a Chuunige, shouldn't he awaken a chuuni power!? Had Sakura dragged him into a Chuunige with her beautiful, guilty-of-this-mess, tits and not even bothered to give him powers of any kind—!?
Well, he had powers, though not the usual Chuunige kind.
Still... it was better than nothing.
So, Shinsuke Yamaguchi summoned another coin to his hand and prayed silently while trying to discreetly look at the woman named Rider. This was his only trump card.
He didn't want to get involved in an even bigger mess, of course, especially since there would be no cutting off this second female Chuunige villainess, but he was actually going to die here if he didn't do anything.
Maybe he could ghost Rider and Sakura after this and live a good and calm life with Rin and Illyasviel? That sounded nice.
The coin disappeared.
Rider looked at Shinji. "Master, why did you mention Sakura?" Normally she wouldn't have cared enough to ask, but suddenly she felt curious.
This boy had some connection to her true Master?
Her sudden question made Shinji stop kicking his prey as he shifted his attention to her. "Hah... Sakura...?" He was panting, apparently having used quite a bit of energy just now. "They're nothing to each other—"
"We're friends!" Shinsuke summoned all of his strength to shout. "I have no idea what the hell is happening, but Sakura is my friend...!"
Maybe announcing that would help somehow. This was, in theory, a Sakura event. So surely Shinsuke should act like he was super-duper buddies with her or something.
If he was being honest, Sakura lost a lot of points with the whole magical thing she dragged him into.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi chose to ignore how he was the one who used his very limited and dangerous resource on Sakura Matou simply because she had a seductive body. He chose to ignore how he had done no research on her either.
Yes, it was all Sakura's fault for being such a seductress!
Ah. This sucked. Especially since Sakura was so cute and nice that he couldn't even truly regret his decision. Assuming that was her real personality, of course.
Rider hummed. "A friend of Sakura, huh..." Was Shinji targeting Sakura's friends? That was no good. Though it's not like Rider could do something about that.
Eh. It was whatever. If the boy had never noticed what was going around with Sakura, was he even truly her friend?
Shinji let out a groan of annoyance. "Don't think pleading will help you, Yamaguchi. I couldn't care less for what Sakura wants."
Shinsuke raised an eyebrow. "So Sakura doesn't want this...?" He imagined that was the case, but it was good to know Shinji was acting alone.
Heroines who killed the protagonist were always the worst.
Shinji shrugged. "I don't care. This is more for Tohsaka's sake anyways—"
"We've had sex." Shinsuke interrupted the seaweed. "I just want to make that clear before I go." He didn't even know what he was saying.
He was only trying to buy time for now, and maybe saying dumb shit would get him that time. He'd rather have an angry Shinji kicking him than a calm Shinji executing him.
Though it's not like Shinsuke had some sort of plan on how to use that time. He was just hoping Rider being a new heroine would do something... or that Sakura would show up. This should be an event related to her.
As one would expect, Shinji's face immediately became red as he scowled. "Y-you...!" But then he realized something. "Wait, with Sakura or Tohsaka?"
"...I'm a two-timer." A four-timer now. Sorry, Rin. Sorry, Illyasviel. He would not be apologizing to Sakura, much less Rider.
Shinji returned to Shinji-kicking mode. "How dare you!" He didn't even know if it was true. He doubted it was true. But it pissed off Shinji nonetheless.
But... Shinsuke Yamaguchi had accomplished his goal.
He had used every tool that he had to buy time... Those tools being a coin and being annoying, so not a lot of tools, but still! And now he would be rewarded with a CG.
Or at least that's how he felt as Sakura Matou wandered into the alleyway.
"B-brother!?" Sakura covered her mouth as she gasped in shock.
The girl had been going to the home of her Senpai. Normally she would have walked with that Senpai in question, but Mitsuzuri asked for her help concerning some club matters. Something which she had needed to do due to Shinji Matou apparently rushing home, neglecting his duties as Vice-Captain.
And, as she walked home after all that, she heard shouting. Normally she would ignore it out of fear, but the voices sounded familiar and...
Last time Sakura had not regretted helping someone. It was that positive enforcement that gave her enough courage to step forward into the alleyway. Even if it was the foolish thing to do.
Though she had expected to encounter some thugs that she would need to call the cops on. Not her brother, a senpai of hers, and her Servant.
"Sakura?" Shinji raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here—?"
Once again, Shinsuke didn't hesitate to interrupt Shinji to try and guarantee his survival. "Matou, your brother is using his super scary friend to kill me, help!" He imagined he sounded quite desperate.
"Shut up—!" Shinji tried silencing.
It didn't work. "I think he might also target Tohsaka after this! He's been going on rants about you and her like some sort of creep! Help, please!"
Sakura didn't know what to say. "I..." This was bad. Really bad.
Why did her brother target Yamaguchi-Senpai? Was he still mad about the rumors surrounding her sis— Tohsaka-Senpai? That had to be it, especially since Sakura knew Yamaguchi-Senpai and Tohsaka-Senpai had come together to school.
Now.... what should she do? What should she do!? She... she...!
Sakura covered her face. "I'm sorry!" She could do nothing, as usual.
For a moment Shinji Matou had been scared Sakura would actually intervene. She was technically the true Master of Rider after all, so the dumbass Servant might listen to her. Thankfully, it seemed he had trained her well.
He snorted. "Hah. Stay there, Sakura. I'm about to punish you for being a slut."
Shinsuke felt hopeless. "I... um... I actually lied about the two-timing thing, by the way. I was just trying to buy time." Maybe Shinji would spare him?
What the hell was this bullshit!? Wasn't this meant to be a redo of the first Sakura event but now with a supernatural chuuni spin to it!? He was certain she was going to save him now that she had shown up!
But she didn't! All she was doing was standing there, shaking and afraid— Ah, damn it. This was meant to be the moment where he stood up to Shinji and protected her instead, wasn't it?
Something he could do if he was actually a Chuuni protag with Chuuni powers like making swords or slowing down time. Alas, his only power was enslaving women, sort of.
Shinji grinned. "I figured." His confidence had completely returned... he would definitely kill the boy lying on the ground.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi didn't know how to feel right now. He really was going to die, wasn't he? And the worst part is that he was going to die without even getting a girlfriend. Which was his original objective.
He didn't mind dying a virgin... no, he obviously minded that, but he would have been content to die as one if at least he had a girlfriend.
And it was a grim realization that he remembered how he would apparently be stuck to Sakura Matou in his next life too. May she be reborn as a normal Nukige heroine next time.
Huh... he wondered how a Heroine would feel once the supposed protagonist died.
Hopefully... hopefully they would never ever get over him! Rin, Sakura, Illyasviel, and Rider... they all better die as lonely virgin old hags with tons and tons of cats!
That was the only consolation he could imagine for this sudden BAD END he had been thrust into.
"Now, Rider—" Shinji was about to order his death.
But... there was one more thing Shinsuke Yamaguchi could do.
He channeled all his strength. Strength that was born from the hopes of a virgin boy that didn't want to die, and tackled Shinji Matou to the ground.
"Y-you...! Get off me, you piece of shit!"
"No! Much like a piece of shit somebody steps on, I am very adhesive!" He didn't even know what he was doing, but still he and Shinji ended up getting stuck on some sort of struggle.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi could not win, for he was hurt from all the kicking, and that wasn't even mentioning his messed-up arm. Shinji Matou couldn't win because he was tired from all that kicking he had done.
A stalemate.
One could be ended by Rider at any time. She still had the boy's arm wrapped around her chain after all. All she needed to do was pull him, and this would all be over.
As she watched the two boys fight, however, she hesitated... Killing a friend of Sakura was one thing, killing that friend while Sakura watched was another.
And so, Shinsuke Yamaguchi achieved victory.
In his scramble with Shinji, he eventually noticed something strange beneath the boy's blazer. Thinking it was a weapon, he tried grabbing it without any hesitation.
It was not a conventional weapon, but it was worth far more than one.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi grabbed a strange book... and then got off Shinji, hoping this strange object could do something. "Well, this looks important!" His current thought was that the book was a grimoire of some kind.
"Whatta...!? Give that back!" Shinji was flabbergasted.
That book was the Book Of False Attendant. The book that contained one of Sakura's Command Seals. The book that made him a Master... and a magus, seeing as it contained some defensive spells as well.
"No! Fuck you!" Shinsuke immediately opened the book, hoping to find some sort of eldritch blast. He found nothing.
Shinsuke couldn't understand a damn thing...
Shinji took this opportunity to plead to his Servant. "Rider, get the book back!"
His... ex-Servant. "Why would I? I have no reason to follow you right now." That wasn't exactly true, of course.
She wasn't going to betray the Matou family, seeing as it could get Sakura killed, buuuut... she could act a bit rebellious to save Sakura's friend. Though that would change if the boy abused his luck a bit too much.
"A-a-ah..." And just like that, Shinji lost the strength to even get back up.
Shinsuke let out a weird mixture of a snort and a chuckle. "Wait, so Rider follows whoever has the book!?" Once he saw the book, he knew it was important, but he didn't think it was that important!
The woman grinned. "Sure." And at the same time, released the boy's arm. Or at least that seemed to be the case, as her weapon disappeared.
"That's...!" That's awesome! He didn't awaken a Chuunige power, but he stole one instead! "Oh, we are going to be the best team ever, Riderchu!" He didn't even know what he was saying, if he was being honest.
But he had survived, and for that, his brain was rewarding him with enough chemicals to feel like he was drunk.
"Riderchu...?" The Servant didn't know what to think about that... title.
Shinsuke didn't bother explaining it either. "Anyways, are you okay, Sakura?" In the excitement of this whole thing, he had kind of forgotten she was even there.
Sakura Matou was just standing there, paralyzed. And of course she was, she still had to process how her brother had been bested so thoroughly, and with a Servant at that. It was... a sight that she didn't know if she believed in.
That isn't to say she thought Shinji Matou was some amazing superhero, in fact, she had far more respect for someone like Shirou Emiya, but at the same time, she also knew very little could challenge Shinji Matou once he got going.
The only two people she could think of were her grandfather... her sister... and now Shinsuke Yamaguchi.
"Sakura?" Rider raised an eyebrow at seeing the girl not moving.
The Servant's questioning actually snapped her back into reality. "I-I'm fine—"
It did the same to her brother. "What the hell!? Who do you think you are, Rider!" The seaweed began getting up. "You think you can just betray me like that!? How stupid can you be!? You... you... bitch! You're gonna pay for that—!"
"W-wow." Shinsuke was kind of impressed with Shinji's courage to scream at the superwoman, if he was being honest. "Hey Rider, can you knock him out?" But not impressed enough to actually help Shinji, of course.
"What—?"
"Sure." The Servant disappeared from everyone's vision for a moment, only to reappear behind Shinji, proceeding to kick his head. "I'm surprised you didn't order me to kill him." She might have done so if asked.
"I-I think you might have done that anyways!" Holy shit!
Rider smiled. "Don't worry, I can control my strength." She raised a bloodied foot. "I assure you he is just knocked out."
Shinsuke looked at the downed Shinji. "If you say so..." He didn't want to kill the guy.
But he also didn't know what to do about him either. Was there, like, a magical prison he could throw Shinji in? Could Shinji go to regular prison? Was Shinji even a threat without his super scary lady?
"A-are you sure, Rider!?" Sakura seemingly didn't accept the Servant's words as easily as Shinsuke did.
Rider slowly nodded. "Yes... Don't worry, I really didn't kill him." She knew it would hurt Sakura after all.
Sakura let out a sigh of relief. "That's good to hear..." But Shinji really had crossed a line today, something would have to be done about it. And speaking of that line. "Y-Yamaguchi-Senpai, are you okay?"
She couldn't believe he had asked about her when he was the one with an army bleeding and torn. Sakura didn't even know how he wasn't screaming in pain.
"Um? Yeah, I'm fine, but..." He decided he might as well take this opportunity. "Could you explain to me what is going on? I suddenly have a magical woman buddy. I'd like to know why."
"Buddy...?" Rider tilted her head. "I am more of a tool."
Shinsuke waved her off. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, magical woman buddy." He had played enough Pokémon to know about the power of friendship.
Rider stayed silent at his proclamation, but she supposed his attitude was expected. This boy was, in theory, a normal boy. He had not been raised in a culture that would allow him to see her as a tool. She was surprised at his lack of malice towards her, however.
Sakura didn't care about any of that right now. "Um... I..." And she also didn't know if she could explain anything to Shinsuke without being punished. "Let's do something about that arm of yours before anything!"
Shinsuke raised his arm. "I don't mind that, but this is gonna be harder than taking care of a bloodied-up nose." Should he go to a hospital? How would he even explain this, though?
His ribs were hurting as well. Shinji probably hadn't broken anything, though Shinsuke doubted he would even be able to get up if that had been the case.
"Even so, I-I have to do something about it!" Sakura was feeling ashamed of herself. She had just watched while Shinsuke faced death at the hands of her own brother after all.
Not to say she expected more of herself, but she was still ashamed. "P-please let me try!" She knew patching him up wouldn't make up for anything, but maybe she could lie about it to herself afterwards.
Shinsuke sighed. "Sure..." He actually didn't want Sakura messing with his open wounds, but whatever. Maybe she would do some magicky stuff to it. "We should probably get a kit in a store or something before that, though..."
"Of course, I-I'll pay for it..." Yeah, she would—
A small bug landed on Shinsuke's nose. Sakura's face immediately became white.
Shinsuke casually waved the bug away. "Ew, I think it almost entered my nose." That would be annoying.
"Oh, so the fun is over." Rider suddenly spoke up, tensing her body. It was time to move.
"What do you mean—?" Shinsuke Yamaguchi was knocked out before he could even process what had happened.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
"Ouch, ouch, ouch...!" Shinsuke Yamaguchi woke up with a massive headache.
He also woke up in that same damned alleyway! They couldn't even bother to take him home or something!? Well, maybe he should be grateful that he had even managed to survive that chuuni encounter.
Still... "I can't believe I let my guard down around Rider..." Just because you had a Pokéball didn't mean the Pokémon had to obey you. He just had to fake that until you weren't looking.
Shinsuke immediately regretted even talking out loud as pain ran through his body. Now that the adrenaline had more or less gone away, he was actually feeling all the damage that had been inflicted upon him. Though at least Sakura had kept her word and bandaged him...
It was shoddy work, and Shinsuke was definitely gonna go to a hospital later, but maybe Sakura's hard work would keep his wound from getting infected? Then again, he had stayed in a dirty alleyway for who knows how many hours.
"I guess I should call my parents too." They were probably freaking out right about now.
They were hands-off, but they did at least want Shinsuke to make them always aware of where he was. Ugh, and now with his wounds, they would probably call the police too. Actually, could he genuinely call the police on Shinji?
Shinji... Shinji... His name was still making Shinsuke worried. The guy had Rider back now, didn't he?
Which meant Shinsuke should definitely avoid him if he wanted to live. If he did that, then everything would be okay. It's not like Shinji knew where he lived either, so his parents should be okay.
So Shinji had nobody to target with his murder weapon.
Except Tohsaka... he had shown a scary level of obsession towards her... Should he try going to Rin to warn her about him?
"Nah, what am I even saying?" It was late as fuck, so he would definitely come off as a creep. Besides, why would Rin even believe him anyways? She was a normal heroine! His precious, normal, non-chuuni heroine!
And it was crazy to assume Shinji knew about where she lived anyways. It's not like it was something known by the whole student body or something. Rin would be fine—
"Except I turned my life into a VN!" If something could go wrong, it would go wrong.
He had to make his way to Rin's house to warn her. Otherwise, he just knew a bad ending was coming!
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
AN: Originally I was gonna have a scene in the Matou mansion with Zouken and stuff, but I decided to keep that for the next chapter, since this one was getting big already.
But more on the Matou thing, Shinsuke started paying the price for coining Sakura. Naturally this means that next chapter he will start paying the price for coining Rin and starting her route.
It's always worrying to have a heroine cause troubles for the MC in a fic, but I feel like it's important for this one. Shinsuke wanted to have a harem and coin a bunch of girls, so now he gets to not only deal with their (chuuni) troubles, but also deal with the ugly sides of their personality.
It's just karma or something, really.
That aside, I have finally done the new tier thing I talked about doing it. I don't have much to comment about it, but I feel like I had to acknowledge its existence.

2025-03-27 11:58:50 +0000 UTCA weird quirk of patreon feeds (or at least how I use them) is that the chapters that get unlocked are already buried behind 50 podcasts, so I both have to notice the notification popping up on my phone sometime during the day and then later remember to navigate over here. Probably would have upgraded out of impatience regardless, but with the old tier I didn't just miss the new tier going live, I missed you updating at all.

2025-03-26 22:55:27 +0000 UTCOkay, thanks for the answer. I also think that your basic tier was underpriced when you just launched patreon, I wanted to comment about it, but I think I decided not to. About informing people, I wasn’t suggesting exactly a separate post, but maybe AN after the chapter, because when I was a 2$ tier it didn’t show me the newest available chapter at all even just a post with a title and hidden content.

2025-03-24 22:02:00 +0000 UTCI know it's not a big increase from the previous tier, but well, between you and me, looking at other patreons, I think I made the previous tier a bit too cheap. I won't change it though, because it would be a dick move, so just imagine that there's a big discount on it, while the new one is more standard pricing for those who really can't wait for a new chapter. I won't make an announcement either, I don't want to flood people's notifications with it. Instead I think it's a little less annoying if they are just reading the chapter, see that there is a higher tier and then decide to go for it.

2025-03-24 21:48:07 +0000 UTCGreat chapter, thanks. You probably should inform people about the new tier, I learned about it accidentally. Also this 5$ tier has kinda low value, because for 2 bucks people get 2 chapters and by paying additional 3 dollars they get only one more. Maybe some people won’t have enough incentive to choose it, unless they really like your stories and even in that case it’s a lil bit… confusing I guess
