I Turned My Life Into A Chuunige VN 06
Added 2025-03-26 18:38:56 +0000 UTCToday was going to be her day.
Rin Tohsaka had finished her preparations, and now she would summon her Servant and join the Holy Grail War. No longer would she be a toy for Masters like Illyasviel. In fact, she was planning on destroying that damned midget as soon as possible.
And it would be easy, because Rin Tohsaka wouldn't summon just any Servant. She would summon the Saber Servant!
Without a catalyst.
One may wonder how it is possible to be so sure about the Class of one's Servant without even a catalyst, but Rin Tohsaka had a easy answer. She was the best magus in the war, so she would summon the best Servant in the war. It was that simple.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward, getting closer to the circle she had drawn on the floor. The moment that she started chanting, she would completely ignore all distractions around her.
"... I hereby declare..." She could feel her body beginning to burn— She could also hear clapping from outside. "Hah?" It must have been loud as hell if she could hear it from her workshop.
Who was making such a ruckus now of all times!? It was super late!
No, it didn't matter. Whatever it was, it wasn't her business, so she shook her head and got back to work. "... I hereby declare..." Once more her body began to burn as her Magic Circuits sprung into action—
"Tohsaka! Tohsaka, it's urgent!" And once again she was interrupted by clapping, but with an extra voice this time!
Someone was calling for her...! Why!? Why so late!? Did they wish to embarrass her to oblivion!? Ruin her ritual!? Was this some sort of stalker or an enemy Master!? Both!?
All she knew was that it made her want to die.
But she shouldn't waste time with it, even if it was distracting. So she covered her face out of shame and waited for the person outside to stop. Maybe they would go home by themselves. Maybe the police would be called. She didn't know.
Although... now that she thought about it... it really was something urgent if they managed to ignore her Bounded Field.
"Ugh... fine." She let out a groan of frustration and prepared to leave.
At this point she had already more or less missed the timing for the peak of her power anyways, so she might as well deal with whatever this was before continuing. And she would continue, being without a Servant had proved to be too dangerous not to.
Finally, she left her workshop. As she did so, the voice became less muffled, and she realized she could recognize it...
Shinsuke Yamaguchi. For some reason, Shinsuke Yamaguchi was bothering her this late. She might have to kill him.
Rin Tohsaka really wanted to know what the hell was going on in his empty head.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi was about to give up. He had made it all the way to Rin's mansion, even with his whole body screaming at him to go to a hospital, and now he was trying to wake her up... but she wasn't showing up.
Was she just a heavy sleeper? Was she somewhere else? Did he come too late? Was she just ignoring him? Shinsuke Yamaguchi didn't know, and it worried him severely. In the end, though, he just had to tell the little voice in his head saying to give up to shut up. He would NOT let his heroine get bad ended! Especially since Shinji looked like an NTR villain at times.
Finally, his persistence was rewarded as Rin left her house. "Yamaguchi... what are you doing here?"
Okay, he had yet to be bad ended! "I came here to warn you about something! Something that sounds super crazy, but you have to believe me!" Hopefully being on her route would help.
His plan was to convince Rin to hide until he somehow dealt with Shinji. Though he had no idea how he would do that, of course. Still, he had beaten the guy once, surely he could do it twice.
"Right..." To Rin's eyes, he immediately sounded crazy... but then she noticed that he was actually wounded. "What happened, Yamaguchi?" She walked towards the gate but did not immediately open it, just to be safe.
"Shinji beat me up!"
Ah, so that was what had happened. And considering Shinsuke had come all the way to her house to talk to her about it, she was guessing Shinji had gone full creep. She had to confess she never thought much of Shinji Matou, but she didn't think he would sink so low.
But it wasn't over yet, Shinsuke continued. "And he did with a legendary hero who was following his orders!"
"Hah?" And like that, Rin was lost. There was no way... there was no damned way Shinji got his hands on a Servant and used it to beat up a normal classmate.
"I know it sounds insane, but please believe me!" He really wished he had some kind of proof. "I—"
"Yamaguchi... get inside and tell me more." This wasn't something she could ignore. It wasn't something she wanted to ignore.
How the hell did Shinji Matou get his filthy little hands on a Servant, however!?
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
"I think I understand the situation..."
"You believe me, Tohsaka?" If so, he was surprised.
Maybe it was because he had so much detail to give? He had told her pretty much everything except for anything related to his coins. Still, he was kind of amazed. Was this because she was a heroine, or was Rin just naive?
"I do. Thank you for coming to me with this, Yamaguchi." She had more or less pieced the situation together.
Sakura had probably summoned the Rider Servant, and then Zouken Matou must have done something to relinquish control of her to Shinji using that mysterious book. After it, either Sakura kept supplying mana to the Servant using her own reserves, or Shinji had been... hurting other people for it.
She didn't want to believe it could be the latter, but considering Shinji had tried to kill a classmate of hers out of pure jealousy... Well, clearly Shinji was letting the power of commanding a legendary hero get to his head.
"S-seriously!? That makes me really happy to hear!" He was sorry he went for polygamy! Rin Tohsaka was the perfect woman! "I wouldn't know what to do if you just thought I was crazy or something..."
Shinsuke couldn't help but think this was strange, though. Was Rin really that naive? He didn't think so... Did she like him enough already to trust his bullshit then? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Something just wasn't right here, though.
Rin smiled. "I'm sure you would have figured it out. You're surprisingly amazing, Yamaguchi." She fully meant her words.
Surviving an encounter with a hostile Servant was no small feat. It took a lot from a person, be it courage or skill... or another Servant. Seeing as Shinsuke Yamaguchi lacked the latter, his survival must have been due to a mix of the other two.
But... at the end of things, he was still a normal human. "I'm guessing it tired you out? You're sleepy, right?" It was time to do her duty as a magus.
She would hypnotize Shinsuke Yamaguchi and make him forget this night had ever happened. Soon, in his mind, he would believe a couple of thugs had attacked him. She couldn't let a normal person know about magecraft, after all.
"I..." Was he sleepy?
That was a weird question, but she was right, wasn't she? He did suddenly feel pretty tired. His wounds must have been catching up to him. It was becoming a challenge to hold back yawning.
Something wasn't right...! "I... I shouldn't sleep in your house, though." Yeah, it would be rude to do so.
"You've already done it once, what's the harm with a second time?" Rin was impressed, he was resisting this better than she expected him to. "Just close your eyes and go to sleep, Yamaguchi."
To Shinsuke's ears, her voice currently sounded like honey. Something was wrong. It was calming, making him forget the troubles he had recently gone through. Something was wrong. He felt like he would be safe here, safe enough to close his eyes and—
Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong. Something was wrong.
Shinsuke slapped the table. "I don't need to sleep, damn it!" He put a hand on his head, commanding himself to stay awake.
Rin, startled by his sudden outburst, let out an embarrassing eep. "Y-Yamaguchi?" He was genuinely breaking out of her hypnosis!?
It was possible for a normal human to do if they had enough willpower, but typically after the magus had hypnotized them and stopped applying their mana. Not in the middle of it! Just how much will did he have!?
The answer to Rin Tohsaka's internal question was a scary one.
Shinsuke Yamaguchi had enough will to walk up the Ryuudou Temple every day of the month to wish for a girlfriend. And enough willpower to ignore all the judging stares he received after the monks asked him what he prayed for so fervently. In essence, he was a monster!
And right now, that monster was applying all of his will to not fall asleep. "What... what are you doing to me, Tohsaka...!?" He shouted, as if it would help him.
It had to be her, she was in this chuuni thing too. That was probably why Shinji was so obsessed with her. Hell, that was probably why Shinji thought Shinsuke was beneath getting together with Tohsaka or whatever.
Illyasviel, being a friend of Tohsaka's family, was definitely a mage too. Which meant...
Which meant literally every single one of his coins had been spent wrong. What the hell!? Couldn't he get one normal girl!? That goddess had to have a hand in this, right!? There was no way his luck was that bad otherwise!
Rin sighed. "Don't fight it, Shinsuke Yamaguchi. This is for your own good." Sort of. "I'll make you forget about magic, it's not something a normal person can know about."
Ah, so it was that type of plot. Really, in Shinsuke's eyes, this only further confirmed his theory that he was living a Chuunige. Secret societies were a classic of the genre. Seeing as this Chuunige was real, however, Shinsuke immediately lost all the love he had for the trope.
Which wasn't much in the first place. "Screw you, Tohsaka. Forget? So I can get killed by Shinji tomorrow? Fuck. That." He had no allies anymore, and he never had any crazy powers outside of his coins.
Which meant his memories were his most useful tool. He wouldn't just give it away.
Rin scowled. "This is not something you get to decide—" As she talked, Shinsuke was already heading for the door.
She raised a hand and shot a Gandr right next to his face. It wasn't lethal, but it sure was enough to stop him in his tracks.
Especially because Shinsuke Yamaguchi had no idea about what magecraft could and couldn't do. All he understood is that Rin Tohsaka had just almost shot him with a weird, evil-looking magic spell. Could he have died just now?
Shinsuke paled. "Tohsaka... are you going to kill me?"
"..." She stayed silent at first, before making her resolve. "If need be, yes. Or you can just let me erase your memory and not act like a moron." She wouldn't like killing him, but... as a magus... for the sake of magecraft, she would do it.
And so, she got up and aimed a Gandr at him. This time letting the boy see the projectile resting in front of her hand. It was akin to being threatened by someone with a loaded gun.
The two were at a standstill.
Any movement that didn't include immediate surrender would get Shinsuke Yamaguchi killed. He understood that, however, he did not want to surrender anyways. Which meant he had to look for the least dangerous move.
Should he keep moving towards the door? This time he would sprint, of course. Once he left for the streets, maybe he could lose Tohsaka in some random alleyway. Or hell, maybe even raise a ruckus and get help, if he was lucky, police could be patrolling around.
But was that really the right move?
Rin was probably expecting that, so she might shoot him down before he even made it to the door.
The other move he could see was trying to rush past her. He could then try to make it to some random window and jump through it or something. He could also try attacking Rin. Though getting closer to the mage wanting to kill him might not be wise, he got lucky with Shinji once, that would probably not happen again.
"So, Yamaguchi?" Rin was growing impatient, possibly impatient enough to attack if he didn't say anything.
"Tsk. Fine, I surrender." He would just have to make a third option. "T-this isn't gonna scramble my brains or anything, will it?" He was faking nervousness.
Was Shinsuke Yamaguchi a good liar? The answer depended on who you asked. The fact of the matter was, though, that he had enslaved multiple women and then talked to them afterward as if nothing had happened.
Either way... Rin believed his words. "It won't. Now come here." Though she kept her Gandr up. Just in case.
Shinsuke nodded and began approaching. "So... what now?" He had to be careful. He wanted to bait her into a losing position, but he also couldn't just let himself lose.
Rin smiled. "Now you just close your eyes—"
Several things happened at once. First, Shinsuke suddenly kicked Rin... in between the legs. Rin may not have been Rin-Futa-Tohsaka, but that still certainly hurt. Even for a martial artist like her.
She let her guard down around Shinsuke and immediately regretted it, but she still had her Gandr, so she tried firing it... and missed. By a lot. It was hard to hit someone when your head was spinning. Just how hard did Shinsuke kick her!?
She would recover quickly, though, and once she reinforced her body, she would beat the life out of him. Honestly, she didn't even need the reinforcement to do that, but she would use it nonetheless—
Except, before she could do anything, Shinsuke spit on one of her eyes. "Ugh! Stop fighting like an animal!" This was disgusting.
"I'll fight whatever way lets me win!" He pushed her down to the ground, which, considering her current position, just meant he pushed her onto the sofa.
He wouldn't take advantage of this and try to follow up, though. Not when he really had no victory condition. Since he was technically winning right now, he did not need to act as desperately as he did against Shinji.
Especially since he doubted he would get another miracle handed to him... Honestly, was he crazy lucky or crazy unlucky? Could someone be both at the same time?
His two previous options present themselves to him once again. Run through the door or run to a window and jump?
Fuck both. He wouldn't win, he would just run for a while and then get caught by Rin. This was her neighborhood, so she must have known the streets way better than he did.
Instead, he would once again go for the third option. This time, trying to acquire a weapon. And he didn't mean just a kitchen knife either.
Maybe Tohsaka would have similar things to that book lying around? Shinsuke was willing to grab anything that looked mystical, really.
He left the girl behind and delved deeper into the house. And as soon as he spotted a weird-looking door, he didn't hesitate to open it and go inside.
"H-hey, wait!" Rin couldn't believe it, the idiot had entered her workshop. She had left it unlocked in her rush...!
Shinsuke, naturally, wasn't going to wait for a damn thing. He did notice the door could be locked from inside, though, so he did that and began descending the stairs.
Which brought up the fact that Rin's house apparently had a fucking creepy-ass dungeon inside of it or something! Chuuni mages were indeed chuuni, as expected!
He made it to the end of the staircase and immediately spotted many weird things. From creepy books to shining jewels to what was clearly a magical circle drawn on the ground.
But he didn't have the time to think about any of that, because Rin Tohsaka was right behind him. She had reinforced herself, broken down the door, and basically jumped over the stairs to catch up with the boy.
She pointed her hand at him, a Gandr once again forming on it. "End of the line, Yamaguchi." She might actually kill him.
How troublesome could one guy be!?
No, she had been stupid. Underestimated someone who got the drop on a Master. Mistakes like that could get her killed in the Holy Grail War, so she was almost glad it had happened with this buffoon.
Shinsuke looked down. "I..." And then ducked as a Gandr flew past his head.
"You nothing!" She really wouldn't underestimate him.
But Shinsuke Yamaguchi didn't want to give up... he didn't want to lose, damn it! He wanted to keep his memories of magecraft... so he could avoid Rin and her craziness and find a normal cute girlfriend instead!
His hand burned.
It would normally not happen. Shinsuke Yamaguchi would normally have not gotten involved with that terror named Holy Grail War. However, he had tangled himself with it from the moment he tangled himself with Rin Tohsaka, who represented one of the founding families.
And Sakura Matou, who represented another one of the founding families.
And Illyasviel Von Einzbern, who represented another one of the founding families.
And Rider, who was an actual Servant.
After all that, was it any surprise that his destiny made sure he could not escape the Holy Grail War?
Shinsuke Yamaguchi's hand shined, and so did his will. Using his own body as a catalyst and jewels prepared by Rin Tohsaka, a hero was summoned.
"N-no way!" Much to the disbelief of Rin Tohsaka. "There's just no way!" Was he really going to summon a Servant before she did!? By stealing her resources at that!?
"My chuuni powers are awakening!?" Shinsuke Yamaguchi had no idea what was going on, but he did know what genre he had turned his reality into. Even if he was wrong this time.
Smoke filled the room. It was cleared away immediately.
Red eyes of a demon, beautiful long black hair, a surprisingly young figure, a military uniform. Asian features and a grin that could only belong to a demon.
A Servant had been summoned. "Hahahahaha! This is nice! This is great! Being summoned while a battle occurs is my type of summon!" A musket appeared in her hand. "So, who's the one that is my Master, and who is the one that's going to die?"
"..." Rin did not have the courage to speak up.
The thought of lying and shouting that she was the Master was an appealing one, especially seeing as she had Command Seals. She knew that the Servant would see right through her, however, and so trying it would definitely get her killed. At least by staying silent, she could maybe ask Shinsuke to spare her life.
"..." Shinsuke didn't know if he should speak up.
Was he the Master...? The girl that had shown up was like Rider, who he had dealt with before, right? But he didn't have a book like Shinji. Then did this Servant belong to Rin? Because in that case... he lost.
The Servant raised an eyebrow as a scowl began appearing on her face. "Hah...? Is neither of you going to say something? In that case, I might as well just kill both of you and get this over with."
Shinsuke raised a hand. "I'm the Master. I think. I don't have one of those scary books, though." Indeed he declared himself, mostly because Rin was still silent.
If she were the Master, surely she would have said something?
"You think?" For a moment the Servant seemed angry, but then suddenly erupted with laughter. "Well, now that you said it, I can feel our connection! Why the confusion, though? Don't tell me you summoned me by accident or something!"
"I-I did. Sorry...?" Was that disrespectful?
His comment just made the Servant laugh even more. "No need to apologize! If I had to pick between a competent man who is unlucky and an incompetent fool who is lucky, I would always choose the latter!"
The Servant summoned a sword, stabbing it on the ground. "I'm Servant Archer! Oda Nobunaga! The Demon King of the Sixth Heaven!"
"Impossible!" Hearing such a thing, Rin had to interject. "The Holy Grail can't summon Japanese heroes!" It would give the Master who did so an immense advantage after all.
But that didn't matter right now. The Holy Grail was currently a corrupted, broken mess who didn't really care for rules anymore. Not that Rin Tohsaka had any way of knowing that.
"Impossible!" Shinsuke shouted at the same time Rin did. "Why are you a girl!?" Oda Nobunaga was definitely supposed to be a stinky old man!
Oda Nobunaga being secretly a girl? Reality really was a Chuunige!
"Eh, don't think too hard about it." Nobunaga waved both of their concerns off. "Being impossible and doing the impossible are the things I enjoy most. Now..."
A gun was pointed at Rin's head.
"Just how do you wish to beg for your life?"
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
"That was pathetic." Zouken Matou sounded furious, sometimes surprisingly rare.
Maybe it was a result of his rotting soul, but for as horrible as the man was, he almost never got angry. Or at least he almost never outwardly showed his anger. The fact that he was doing so now just showed how big Sinji Matou's sin was.
"Losing a fight on the Holy Grail War is one thing..." He hadn't expected Shinji to get far anyways. "But to lose to a normal boy?" It was nothing short of embarrassing.
For as defective as he was, Shinji Matou was still representing the Matou to some extent.
"I..." Shinji winced, aware that if he said the wrong thing, he would possibly die. "H-he caught me off-guard! A-and Rider betrayed me, so—"
"No excuses." Zouken tapped his cane on the ground. "You lost. I don't care for the circumstances that made you lose, you still lost."
He continued. "And if you are weak enough to lose to a normal boy, weak enough to let a normal boy steal your Servant... Then perhaps I should give that Servant to the boy and see how far he can go, no?"
Zouken was actually quite interested in Shinsuke Yamaguchi. Not because he thought the boy was anything particularly special, but because he was a friend of Sakura's... supposedly. That could have its uses. That is why he had not eaten the boy and also why he had allowed Sakura to take care of his wound.
Anything that gave Sakura hope should be protected, only so that she may fall in despair again in the future.
Shinji gulped. "Please don't, Grandpa! I'll beat him next time for sure! I'll—"
"You speak as if he is a real competitor in this war." But Shinsuke Yamaguchi was not, Shinji would gain nothing by winning a grudge match against him. "But fine, do as you wish. As long as you stop embarrassing our family, I do not care."
"However... humiliate us once again, and I really might find a better holder for that book. Understood?"
"U-understood, Grandpa." That was it!
Shinji was going to kill Shinsuke if it was the last thing he did!

AN: Nobu my beloved. I was at first going to give Shinsuke just normal EMIYA, but in the end I went for Nobu. Both because I want to write for her, and because cute girl.
Comments
He does have magic circuits, but what carried the summon was the jewels Rin had prepared beforehand.

2025-04-02 13:20:55 +0000 UTCThanks for the chapter! Who needs lame Emiya anyways, Nobu is better. Shinsuke is crazy, he survived Servant’s attack, resisted hypnosis, defeated Rin in her own house, stole her resouces to somehow summon a servant. Rin jobbed hard lol
