I Turned My Life Into A Chuunige VN 11
Added 2025-05-01 15:44:12 +0000 UTC“As I said, he is a mage and most likely a Master as well, there is a Bounded Field here, even if it is a weak one.” Illyasviel was grinning from ear to ear, now Shinsuke would have to believe her.
Shinsuke wanted more than just Illya’s word however. “Hey Archer, can you feel anything?”
His Servant nodded. “Kind of. I’m not a mage, but Heroic Spirits can sense this kind of stuff to a certain extent, similarly to how we sense other Servants.”
“So… the Fake Janitor really is a Master!?” He thought for sure Illya had just been making shit up!
Back in the Einzbern castle, she had told him Shirou Emiya of all people was a Master, and when he said she had to be lying, she revealed that they could simply go to his house and confront him about it. Because Illyasviel knew where the Fake Janitor lived, apparently. She must have been collecting information on him.
“I told you so.” Illya let out a giggle. “I guess you’re going to have to take him down~” She didn’t know who her brother had summoned, assuming he had summoned already, but surely his Servant wouldn’t stand a chance against the monster who defeated Heracles?
Illyasviel did not like Oda Nobunaga one bit, they simply weren’t compatible people, but the homunculus had to admit that she was one scary Heroic Spirit.
“Yeah… I guess I will.” Shinsuke had nothing against the Fake Janitor, but if he was an enemy, then he was an enemy.
He would be treated like all his other enemies. Shinsuke would focus on taking down only his Servant, but if Shirou Emiya himself tried entering the fray, Shinsuke wouldn’t go out of his way to protect him in any shape or form.
Although this whole talk brought something to his mind. “But he isn’t home right now, so all this talk of him being an enemy is only going to matter later.” He couldn’t beat Shirou if Shirou wasn’t here in the first place. “Hey Illya, you’re well informed on this guy for some reason, Any clue on where he could have gone.”
Illya hummed. “He’s probably coming back from school right now. He did not stop attending it, even after the war started.”
For real? Shinsuke supposed there were nutjobs for everything. Still, wasn't it crazy that so many of the Masters came from Homurahara? Could it be that the school was more than it seemed?
That was worth looking into eventually, for now he would focus on the enemy in front of him, instead. “Let’s take this opportunity and set up traps in his house then.”
Illya shook her head. “I am fairly sure entering his house would mean entering his Bounded Field and announcing our presence. It would ruin any element of surprise.”
Shinsuke clicked his tongue. “Tsk, got it. Then let’s find a high position so Archer can snipe him as he makes his way home, well, snipe his Servant at least.”
This time it was Archer who rained down on his parade. “You know, I’m not really good at hitting things that are too far away. I can do it, but I think I prefer a mid-range fight.”
“Please change your class’s name to something more appropriate then!” Well, if sniping and traps were out… “But fine, let’s at least ambush him.”
“Okay, but his Servant might sense me since I’m not an Assassin.” It also didn’t help that something about Archer just screamed murder to everything near her. It might be the whole being basically a human demon thingy.
“Still, that’s better than nothing.” Even if it was getting dangerously close to nothing.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Shit, it’s Sakura…” Shinsuke grumbled to himself.
Shirou Emiya wasn’t returning home alone, he was returning home with Sakura. It almost made Shinsuke discard his ideology of attacking the Servant and not the Master, but that would have been very Shinji of him. Too Shinji even, which is why he did not do it. The other problem was that he wasn’t sure he should attack at all.
Archer interjected. “Hmm… I can’t sense any Servant. Most importantly, I can’t even see a Command Seal on his hand.”
“What…!?” The shock from Archer’s revelation almost made him scream. “So he isn’t a Master after all?”
Archer narrowed her eyes. “I think he just has not summoned one yet. He does have Command Seals, but they’re not finished yet. The Grail must still be deciding whether it wants him in the war or not.” She chuckled. “I wonder if he feels stressed about that, kekeke.” Well, one thing Archer could say for sure, her own Master was stressed about that.
And so was Illyasviel. “What do you mean he hasn’t summoned yet? I went to his face and told him to summon our he would die…! This was disrespect of the highest order…! If she had Berserker right now, she would make Shirou Emiya die a painful death! Thankfully, she had a handsome ally instead. “Shin, ask Archer to fill the little bastard with bullets.”
Archer grinned. “I’m always down for that. I even came up with the perfect one liner once he dies.”
Shinsuke doubted her one liner would be that good. “Save it, I won’t attack what is essentially an unarmed civilian. And what the hell were you doing telling him to summon a Servant, Illya?” Now that he taught about it, he had kind of done that with Tohsaka.
Did Illya have a similar relationship with the Fake Janitor? The Fake Janitor who was currently also hanging out with Sakura? Did Shinsuke have enough excuses to crash out and become Shinji Matou now? Probably not.
“I—”
“It’s you!” The Fake Janitor pointed at Illya. “From the other day!” Surprise was written all over his face.
Since they never actually sprang up and attacked him, Shirou was given plenty of time to just naturally get closer to the ambush spot and see them. Mostly because there weren’t many good places to hide near his house. That wouldn’t have been a problem if they had actually taken the initiative of course, but due to their shock, that didn’t end up happening.
And if Shirou had approached and seen them, Sakura did the same thing of course. “Yamaguchi-Senpai!?” She had been worried, with him not showing up to school after that incident.
Shinsuke waved at them. “Y-yo, Matou, Emiya.”
Illya did not follow suit, simply glaring at the Fake Janitor, But Archer was different. “Hey! Hey! Nice to meet you two!” She was already talking with enough energy to power-up a city, even though Shirou had been her enemy five seconds ago.
Shirou took a step back, immediately overwhelmed by that very same energy. “Nice to meet you two, but… First of all, my Name is Shirou Emiya, and—” He motioned to Shinsuke’s second heroine. “This is Sakura Matou. Can I ask who you three are?” He then mumbled to himself. “Well, I know about Yamaguchi.”
At least he knew about Shinsuke Yamaguchi to a certain extent. He knew he had been getting chummy with Rin Tohsaka lately… according to Issei Ryuudou. And he knew both him and Tohsaka had skipped school today, presumably to do some evil mating ritual that would give birth to Mara… according to Issei Ryuudou.
Most importantly though, Shirou knew Yamaguchi was Sakura’s newest friend. So he was curious about the guy.
Shinsuke cleared his throat. “My name is Shinsuke Yamaguchi… I am a friend of Sakura’s.” He observed the girl’s reaction, and she seemed happy that he still considered her a friend.
That was good. He was kind of afraid that their previous encounter had ruined any relationship they could have had. Hell, their previous encounter almost made him want to end any relationship they could have had, even going so far as wishing to break the coin’s effects. Now though? Now he fought to one day receive a titty pillow. It was like a lap pillow, but probably better.
He continued. “The kid is Illyasviel Von Einzbern, hard to pronounce I know.” In fact, he was pretty sure he had just butchered it. “And my other friend is—”
Archer interjected. “Master, let me introduce myself instead!” Sakura looked like she had died on the spot. “I am Archer, Oda Nobunaga!” Yep, Sakura was still dead.
Shirou raised an eyebrow. “Oda Nobunaga…?” His eyes widened. “Oh, are you cosplaying? That is a pretty cool outfit, I have to say.” He hadn’t remarqued on it until now, afraid of being rude. So it was lucky she cleared up his confusion.
“This isn't cosplay. I’m the real Oda Nobunaga.” She pointed at him. “I’m gonna be honest dude, we came here to kick your ass out of the war and into the trash, but you still haven’t summoned your Servant, and my Master still has much to learn about how cool massacring civilians is, so… You’re making things awkward.”
Illya began tapping her feet. “Seriously, I can’t believe you were foolish enough to ignore my advice. No, ignore my order.”
If killing the Fake Janitor before he summoned his Servant didn’t mess with Shinsuke’s plans, Illyasviel would have already turned Shirou Emiya into something that could no longer be called human as payment for this mockery. Even without Berserker she was pretty sure she could defeat most mages as long as they didn’t have a Servant of their own, after all.
Shirou Emiya was currently the picture of confusion. “Sorry, but I think I’m missing something here.” Was this a RPG thing? Shirou didn’t know much about those. Even if he did though, surely it would be strange to approach someone like this?
Shinsuke let out a long sigh. “Well, since subtlety has been rightfully killed, I’m just going to come out with it. This is about the Holy Grail War dude.”
“Is that… a famous video game?”
“Are you for real?” Shinsuke couldn't believe it, did the Fake Janitor really not know about the Holy Grail War? Was that possible for a mage? Or was Shirou maybe not a mage after all?
Shirou frowned. “Yes?” He couldn't lie, he was beginning to feel a bit agitated. Three weirdos had seemingly been waiting in front of his house, and all to talk about nonsense and act as if he should understand.
Shinsuke finally said screw it. “Fuck it, I’m just going to come out with it. Are you a ma—”
Sakura screeched. “Yamaguchi-Senpai wait, please wait for a second!” Even she didn’t believe she had raised her voice like that. “Let’s talk please, in private!”
And now Shirou’s level of suspicion had just skyrocketed. What was going on here? Suddenly screaming like that wasn’t like her at all— A sudden thought came to his mind. A frightening thought. A Taiga-like thought. What if Sakura was into roleplaying in real life or something, and was afraid to admit it?
Shinsuke wasn’t going to ignore Sakura’s wishes. “Alright, I guess. Sure.” Where had her sudden scream come from?
It actually made him strangely jealous. She sure could have reacted in a similar way when Rider and Shinji were about to kill his ass?
Sakura let out a long sigh of relief. “Thank you Yamaguchi-Senpai! Thank you!” She was actually like he had just given her a million dollars.
And so, the two began walking away. Just far enough so that they couldn't be easily overhead.
There was one problem with that however, and that problem was named Shirou Emiya. He didn’t understand what was going on, but he could see that Sakura didn’t really look happy with her newest friend. So be it because she was just embarrassed, or because it was something more serious, he would intervene.
Or at least that was the plan, before Archer got in front of him. “Wow, calm down there boy. Pretty sure the words private were thrown out just a second ago, so you are staying right here.”
Shirou didn’t really want to hurt a woman, especially a small one, so instead of just knocking her down by continuing to move, he scowled. “I—” The plan was going to be simple. He would act a little intimidating and she would move.
The plan had died once he felt the cold barrel of a gun on his stomach. A strange, old looking gun that almost looked like it could be a cosplay prop. Something about it however radiated just enough blood lust that he knew it had to be real.
Archer grinned. “Private~”
And Illyasviel did the same. “What a shame that you took the initiative, I was about to put him down myself.” Well, the truth is that she really was just going to use her Mystic Eyes to hold him down a bit. The killing only came after the humiliation, after all.
“...” Shirou suddenly realized this situation was a lot more complicated than what he had previously thought.
Shirou’s suffering was out of Sakura’s sight.
The girl pleaded to her upper classmate. “Yamaguchi-Senpai, I’m sorry for what I did…!” What her brother did, but Sakura would take responsibility for it. “But please don’t take revenge on Senpai to get to me, he didn’t do anything wrong! I-if you need revenge, then hurt me instead!”
Shinsuke then realized Sakura had completely misread the situation. “Woah there, I’m not here to take revenge on anyone. I’m not angry at you anymore or anything like that.” That was a lie, he was still angry, he was just overlooking it for now.
Mostly because he had a feeling airing out any grievances would get Sakura killed. Archer had already shot Rin in the leg for the wrong reason, so who knows what she could possibly do to poor big boobied Sakura and her beautiful big boobs.
Sakura couldn't believe it. “You’re not here for revenge.” Suddenly she felt as if she had been acting a bit arrogant.
“Nope. I mean, if I was, I would be after Shinji, right?” That would be one of his eventual targets though, since he had to steal Rider again. “I’m just here because Illya told me Shirou was a Master, and…” He raised his hand, the one with his Command Seals. “I’m part of the war now, so I couldn’t ignore that.”
He was unsure about what to do now though. Should he just tell Shirou to summon and then leave like he had done with Rin? Killing him was kind of useless if the Command Seals would then just go to another person.
Sakura frowned. “How did you even join the Holy Grail War, Yamaguchi-Senpai?” She felt kind of betrayed, even if she knew that was hypocritical of her. “I thought you were a normal person?” She had thought he skipped the day due to being afraid of her brother, but apparently he had done so to join a war instead.
Shinsuke scratched his cheek. “I thought so too, but according to Illya, I have Oni Blood.”
Sakura gasped. “You’re a demon?” She didn’t know enough about magecraft to really understand what having Oni Blood meant, but it sure sounded scary.
Shinsuke shrugged. “Supposedly not, since the blood is pretty weak. About how I joined the war though… After Shinji beat me up, I went to Tohsaka’s house, ‘cause I thought your brother might target her next. She ended up being a magus and targeting me instead though…”
Sakura suddenly felt like she was hearing a fairy tale. “You became Tohsaka-Senpai’s enemy?” And survived!? First he defeated her brother and now he defeated Tohsaka!? And one might say he was about to defeat Shirou Emiya too.
Was Shinsuke Yamaguchi invincible?
He nodded. “Yeah. Anyways I accidentally stole her summoning ritual and Archer showed up. Since then… Well, I defeated Illya’s Servant but ended up allying with her for one reason or another.”
“I-I see…” Shinsuke had essentially already defeated three Masters, he really was invincible— A sudden sick realization finally hit her. “Wait, Yamaguchi-Senpai… Did you kill Tohsaka-Senpai?” Her heart froze.
How did she not immediately realize something so crucial? Shinsuke Yamaguchi had defeated Illyasviel Von Einzbern and then allied with her. Shinsuke Yamaguchi had clearly defeated Rin Tohsaka. So where was she? The heiress, the woman Sakura both admired and bitterly hated in the same measure, had not gone to school today.
Even when the war had begun, her sister had kept attending school. So the most plausible reason for her not to come was…
“Nah, it’s embarrassing to admit, but to be honest I still see Tohsaka as a friend, so I spared her. She should be okay.” He looked away. “Well Archer did fire at her leg, but the wound didn’t seem that bad. I’m sure Rin handled it.”
Crack. Crack. Crack. There went what Sakura called reality. “That’s nice to hear.” He had spared her?
To spare someone in a life-or-death struggle you had to be above them, considerably above them in fact. That was only common sense. And to do so in a Holy Grail War? Shinsuke Yamaguchi had not just defeated Rin Tohsaka, he had completely crushed her. Defeated her so thoroughly that he could afford to let her become an enemy again in the future, because clearly he could just defeat her again if worse came to worst.
Was Shinsuke Yamaguchi invincible? The answer had to be yes.
Which meant Sakura could only do one thing. “Yamaguchi-Senpai… Please don’t kill Senpai, he’s a nice person—” She could only beg like the worm she was.
This begging had only made Shinsuke more annoyed though. “Didn’t I already tell you? I’m not going to hurt him. He has Command Seals, so the most I will do is tell him to summon a Servant so I can defeat them later.” Why had they gone back to zero? Did he miss something? “And I will only be defeating the Servant, I’m not murderous enough to go around killing humans.”
“Even so…” That was good to hear! Great to hear! But she greedily wanted more. “Can you not involve Senpai in this? He’s just a normal person...” So was Shinsuke, before her brother ruined everything.
Shinsuke pouted. “Are you this guy’s girlfriend or something?” Shit, he let his jealous side out.
One might rightfully point out how it was insane for Shinsuke to feel jealous when he went for the harem route and coined a bunch of girls. Shinsuke however, would argue that the characteristics that lead to him coining a bunch of girls were the same that made him jealous now.
Sakura blushed. “N-no! What gave you that idea?” It was certainly a big shift in the mood for her.
Her blush made Shinsuke feel like his rule of only targeting Servants had to go. “It’s nothing, I just…” He stopped himself before he said anything idiotic.
And then he thought more about this. Even Chuunige VN’s had their love rivals, with the first example being Shinji Matou himself. Could Shirou Emiya be his second love rival then!? Actually, with the way things were going maybe he completely misread this and Sakura was an otome heroine. Jokes aside though, if Shirou truly was a love rival…
Then letting him run wild was bound to lead to a bad end NTR.
So Shinsuke mustered all his courage and continued to speak. “I just think it would be a shame if you were already taken. It’s nice to see that I still have a chance though.” His heart felt like it was about to burst.
Both because this was embarrassing, and because Illyasviel wasn’t too far away. While she couldn’t hear his words from here, he had a feeling things were about to get a lot more complicated.
“A chance with me…?” Somehow this was the thing that shocked her the most in this entire conversation.
Sakura Matou, much like many otome heroines, had an incredibly low opinion of herself. Hearing that the invincible Shinsuke Yamaguchi was interested in her felt otherworldly.
Shinsuke faked a cough. “Y-yeah, but about the Emiya thing… I think it’s a bit too late to not get involved. I mean, first of all Illya is pretty sure he’s a magus. He has a Bounded Field and everything.” Shinsuke didn’t really know what that was.
He figured Sakura did though. “And that aside… Archer also has a gun on him right now. Sorry.” Sakura may not be able to see it from her position, but he very much could?
“Ah!?” She turned around to look at her Senpai.
The only reason she didn’t pass out on the spot was because the earlier revelations had almost been a form of training. Sakura Matou had been prepared well.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Shirou Emiya no longer had a gun pointed at his stomach. He however, had just been forced into accepting the person who threatened him in the first place in his house.
Somehow that was the least worrying thing right now. “So you are a magus, Sakura?” Yamaguchi being involved with the supernatural didn’t surprise him much, he didn’t know the guy anyways. Sakura was another story.
She avoided meeting his eyes. “Yes… No. I am involved with a family of mages, but I wouldn’t consider myself one.” Sakura regretted her decisions right now.
Shinsuke had decided to force Shirou into a meeting where he could explain what was going on, and Sakura decided to be part of that meeting, telling herself it would be for her Senpai. Now though, she couldn’t help but worry she had ruined whatever bond they had. They used to have, at least.
Naturally, Shirou Emiya didn’t think any less of Sakura Matou after this. Well, he was worried about Shinji having superpowers though.
And that worry would have probably been amplified by a thousand times if Shinsuke Yamaguchi had actually told him what Shinji had been doing with Rider, but while he explained what the Holy Grail War was to Shirou Emiya, and what his role was supposed to be as a Master, he hadn’t told him how the war had developed thus far. No reason to give his enemy any more information than necessary, after all.
Shinsuke cleared his throat. “Emiya, I understand the revelation about Matou may be shocking…” He didn’t really care, actually. “But can I get an answer out of you?”
Shirou frowned. “Yeah, sure. Here’s my answer, there’s no way I’ll join the Holy Grail War.” He hated the very concept. “You think I’d be willing to kill people for a wish? Like hell.”
Shinsuke narrowed his eyes. “It is possible to win by only targeting Servants, you know?” Though he understood, Shirou may not see a difference between the two.
Even he barely saw a difference. He was planning on making two Servants into his girlfriends, after all. Still, having such a clear line he should avoid crossing had helped Shinsuke make this far, he would hope it would help Shirou at least consider starting in the first place.
Shirou clicked his tongue. “It’s a dangerous magus ritual, and we both know more people will be hurt than just the Servants…” His fists began shaking. “Imposing your will onto the world by hurting people, could there be something more wrong than that?”
Archer snorted. “Yes, your existence.” She glared at the boy. “Holy fuck you are boring. Everything anyone can ever gain in life comes by imposing their will onto the world.”
Shirou glared right back. “I guess that’s true, but typically that’s done by working hard in a job or something, not by killing people… And speaking of killing, you’re not even alive anymore. The dead shouldn’t affect the living.”
“Hah…?” She let out a groan. “So you’re that type of mage, huh? Who cares if I am technically dead? I feel pretty alive right now. My heart was pumping when I fought some strong legendary hero, and it started pumping again once my Master praised me for living. How am I not alive?”
Shirou flinched. “I… Okay, sorry about my comment, I was wrong. But if Servants can be counted as living, then how is targeting only them better than targeting everyone? There’s no way I can agree to that.” He had seen the same contradiction as Shinsuke.
Archer shrugged. “Who cares? People draw arbitrary lines to feel better about themselves all the time in war. I don’t care if my Master does the same.”
Shinsuke suddenly felt like he had been shot even though he had done nothing. Ouch.
Archer continued. “But at least he ain’t pussying out of the war in the first place. If this all bothers you so much, grow some balls and summon a Servant to kick my master’s ass.” As one would expect from Oda Nobunga, she was trying to take this out from philosophical debate into physical violence.
Once again, Shinsuke felt like he had been shot even though he was doing nothing. OuchX2.
“I… would rather avoid that, unless it was necessary.” Shirou looked down, considering whether it was necessary or not.
Shinsuke finally spoke up. “I just want to say that even if you summon a Servant, I would still win any fight between us two.” That was why he was here in the first place!
Sakura blanched. “Yamaguchi-Senpai is very strong…” She kinda hoped Shirou did join the war however.
Mostly because ignoring his Command Seals was begging for trouble. It was better if he went through the summoning already so Shinsuke could defeat his Heroic Spirit and Sakura could at least make an attempt at returning to her normal life.
Shirou pouted. “Right.” He felt betrayed. “But the Holy Grail… I just can’t agree to getting a wish fulfilled like this.” And that was the crux of the issue. “Whatever you want, Yamaguchi… Isn’t it just lazy to get it like this? Will you really feel fulfilled after everything is said and done?”
If a button appeared in front of Shirou Emiya that said pressing would save the world, he would press without hesitation. If a button appeared in front of Shirou Emiya that said it would turn him into the greatest hero of justice of all time, he would ignore it without hesitation. Or at least that was what he would like to believe.
Archer scoffed. “Ugh, you fucking annoying garbage!” She found herself genuinely getting angry, her red eyes glowing like those of a demon. “The challenge comes from beating legendary heroes! There’s no correct path to getting one’s wishes, you just gotta do whatever it is you want to do!”
“If you want to get laid, raping and seducing… there is no difference besides morality! Making your own food or eating it, working for your own money or stealing it…! Who said one is better than the other? One may be evil and the other just, but they’re not better or worse than each other!” She really was a demon.
And one Shirou Emiya would never be able to agree with.
Much had been said about how using one’s own person as a catalyst would bring the one amongst the throne who was most compatible with the summoner. Oda Nobunaga was the most compatible hero to Shinsuke Yamaguchi to ever exist. In that same vein, she and Shirou Emiya were completely incompatible, like oil and water. Worse than oil and water. If he had been summoned by her, Shirou Emiya would have been killed in the same night by his own Servant.
Demon. Hero of justice. The two could not co-exist.
Shirou growled. “Of course one is worse than the other! Are you crazy!?” At this point this wasn’t even about the grail anymore. “How can you even—!”
“Who cares!?” And upon seeing this legendary clash of ideals, Illyasviel Von Einzbern couldn’t care less. This type of thing was why she had summoned a Berserker.
She already didn’t like Oda Nobunaga. She already didn’t like Shirou Emiya. She didn’t want to waste her time watching the two argue like morons! And besides…
Archer most likely didn’t really care about her Master’s wish, and Shirou Emiya simply didn’t know, but… but Shin’s wish was to fix her life, and so Illya couldn’t stand here and watch two idiots argue whether such a wish merited its existence or not. Whether Shin was right or wrong.
Illyasviel pointed at the Fake Janitor. “Let me clarify the situation for you, if you do not summon your Servant you will die.” As far as she was concerned he was dying no matter what, but he didn’t need to know that. “Right now you’re delaying the war from truly starting, and not everyone will be as understanding of your flimsy motivations as Shinsuke.”
Archer snarled. “I might be one of these everyones.”
Illya ignored her. “So either you summon a Servant and fight, or I might as well speed up things and end your life so that another more suited Master shows up.”
Shirou looked away. “But I don’t even have a wish.”
She rolled her eyes. “Yes, you do. The Holy Grail does not choose someone without a wish as a participant.” Except for those chosen amongst the Three Great Families at least. “That goes for both Masters and Servants.”
“...” Shirou supposed she was right. He did have a wish, it’s just that killing people to fulfill that wish would go against the very principles of his wish. Some might say it would be worth it. Archer would probably say it would be worth it. Shirou Emiya wasn’t so sure.
Illya took his silence as an opportunity to keep talking. “So go and summon a Servant already. I’ll even give you instructions if you are as lost as you appear to be.” She was immensely confused about his behavior. Didn’t Kiritsugu teach him a single thing?
Finally, as if to really make up Shirou’s mind, Shinsuke interjected. “Hey, Emiya, you asked for my wish, right?”
Shirou nodded. “Yeah.”
“It’s simple.” He put a hand on top of Illyasviel’s head, much to her embarrassment. “I want to save Illya.”
One of her eyes twitched in frustration. “We don’t need to talk about that to the enemy.” She did not wish to show any weakness right now. Even if her very existence as a defeated Master already showed undeniable weakness.’
Shinsuke smiled. “Just let me try something.” He went back to looking at Shirou, who already looked like he was about to crumble with such a short comment. “Illya here is a homunculus, which means she was man made. Well, more man made than your average person. To be honest I don’t really get how it all works, I’m pretty new to the supernatural.” Shirou probably knew more about magic than Shinsuke did.
He continued. “But the point is, she was made for the war, and she won’t live much past it. So I want to use my wish to save her. Extend her lifespan or something. And I know that there are probably people with similar wishes to mine, and so I can’t really claim moral ground or anything like that, especially since this war will be deadly.”
Shinsuke took a deep breath. “But Illyasviel is my friend.” And his future destined wife! He couldn’t let her die. “Do I really need to feel fulfilled after this? I just want her to be okay.”
“I…”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“So you’re doing all of this for Illyasviel, Yamaguchi-Senpai?” Sakura asked him, a strange look on her face.
Shinsuke nodded as fast as he could. “Yep, totally.” The truth of course is that he used to have a different wish, and even now the wish to save Illyasviel was a selfish one born from the desire of getting a cute girlfriend.
Was there anything more romantic than saving someone!? Yes, actually, but this was a fairly easy way for someone of Shinsuke’s caliber to enter his popular phase. Honestly, he really hoped he would gain a few love filled confessions after this war was over.
“That’s a very noble goal.” Sakura felt like she had to say that. “But I wish Senpai hadn’t been dragged into it.”
Shinsuke sighed. “It’s like Illya said, even if he continued to ignore the Holy Grail, he would have ended up getting involved with it. Though I have to admit, I didn’t expect him to become so… enthusiastic about it.” Shirou Emiya hadn’t just decided to join the war.
For some reason he had decided to become Shinsuke’s temporary ally in it. And now he and Illyasviel were currently summoning a Servant. He didn’t know how to feel about this, if he was being honest, but he supposed having an ally who actually had a Servant was going to be convenient? Hopefully Shirou wouldn’t stab him in the back.
Sakura frowned. “Well, Senpai always wanted to be a hero. He must have been thinking everyone was in it for a greedy wish before he learned about yours.” It was only natural to think a magus competition would be filled with selfish people.
Archer let out a groan of annoyance. “Didn’t my Master already say? His wish is greedy too. There’s probably plenty of people who want to—”
Shinsuke cut her off. “Archer, please don’t start a fight with a guy that isn’t even here.”
He imagined she would be picking a fight with Shirou directly if she could, but it couldn’t be helped. Illyasviel had rightfully pointed out that any Servant Shirou summoned would possibly become hostile if a Servant was literally in the same room as them. Shinsuke then decided that he would rather be near Archer than Shirou, while Sakura followed them for some reason as well. Meanwhile Illya had no choice, since she had to guide the guy through the summoning process.
Nobu cutely pouted. “C’mon Master, show me some comradery and dogpile the guy with insults too!”
Shinsuke hummed. “Maybe when Sakura isn’t around.” Then he could show his pathetic Shinji side. Even now he wasn’t happy about Shirou being alone with Illyasviel.
“Yamaguchi-Senpai…?” Sakura was officially lost.
Before their talk could continue however, Archer felt the summoning, and before long the duo of Shirou Emiya and Illyasviel Von Einzbern were returning with someone new. A blonde knight that could steal anyone’s hearts without even showing a simple smile. It was a mystical type of charisma, not unlike that of Archer’s.
Her charisma was different at its core however. More uplifting, more regal. It was what always made Shirou Emiya fall in love at first sight… And what made Rin Tohsaka get wet even if she was about to be cut down by the very same woman. This was Saber, This was Artoria Pendragon.
“Hello. I assume you two are my allies?” She spoke while looking at Archer and Shinsuke.
Nobunaga waved her off. “Yeah, I sure am.” She was not looking forward to what type of Servant Shirou Emiya had summoned.
Shinsuke seemed a lot happier though. “I will be your ally, alright.” It was only natural to be happy, seeing as he had just coined her— Hm!?
Well, of course he did. If her simple presence was enough to make Shirou Emiya fall in love at first sight, and make Rin Tohsaka become a waterfall at first sight, what did one expect it would happen to the girlfriend obsessed Master of a demon?
“Well… It’s pleasant to see you two.” Saber didn’t know how to feel about making an alliance in a Holy Grail War. She didn’t even know how to feel about her Master, who was an Emiya followed by an Einzbern.
Nonetheless, she would fight for her wish… Unaware of how she would be wishing to become a wife soon. Grail Wars were strange.

AN: Sakura might have become the number #1 Shinsuke glazer. Whether that is a good thing or not is up to be seen.
Also, Shirou joins the war! It was harder to convince him here though, since the Fuyuki tragedy wasn't brought up. Still, he was convinced eventually, even if his conviction of cheating your wish being stupid, which made Saber eventually fall for him in the Fate route, made Archer hate him. Well, one is a bloodthirsty warlord and the other likes saving people, of course they butted heads.
But who cares! Saber is here! And as Shirou's Servant, she's probably gonna end up arguing with Nobu a lot. That might evolve into catfights once the harem starts.

Yes. And before you ask, yes, I am pretty sure.

2025-05-09 02:10:31 +0000 UTCDamn, Archer is basically certified Shirou Hater. Reminds of Mash and Lilith. Also my brainrotted ass was getting Invincible title card vfx everytime Sakura called Shinsuke invincible. Is it over for me?

2025-05-09 02:09:03 +0000 UTCWelp with Saber coined. That just leaves Medea to throw herself into the horni chaos. She's gonna enable him for the lols. And the chance to lewd cute girls cause she's as bad as him

2025-05-01 17:30:15 +0000 UTCIt's a good thing EMIYA wasn't summoned, he'd have been laughing his ass off at the opportunity to snipe Shirou. Also, The catfights will be glorious, clearly Shinsuke needs to coin more girls who wouldn't get along!

2025-05-01 16:49:07 +0000 UTC“It’s simple.” He put a hand on top of Illyasviel’s head, much to her embarrassment. “I want to save Illya.” <- Didn't even need a coin, Shirou is so easy. That's why he needs Taiga to protect him.

2025-05-01 16:30:55 +0000 UTCHe coined Saber from the moment he saw her, and looking at the target is a requirement for the coin.
