It's True Love 67

The restaurant owned by Sacchin was a pretty cozy place... from the outside at least. And also kind of from the inside.

The truth is that while everything looked normal, there was an opressive aura to the place. Or more accurately, a opressive aura from Sacchin herself. It was like her mood had completely fallen downhill once they actually got to the place.

Which was suspicious to say the least. However, Yuta could not just outright asked her what was wrong and so he had to find some way of being subtle...

Sadly, Arihiko Inui was possibly just as perceptive as Yuta when it came to matters like these, and somehow way more upfront about it. Yuta being the guy who invaded a mansion to steal a diary because he was worried about his friends, mind you.

The delinquent tilted his head. "Something wrong Yumizuka? Don't tell me you dislike your parents or somethin'." Truly amazing.

Immediately Sacchin's face became red, like one would expect from a question like this. "No...? Where did that come from!?" Yuta was just glad they had rolled the dice into her being midly confused, instead of outright angry.

The delinquent hummed. "Dunno... I guess I'm just trying to dissect you." He looked around the table. "I mean, I'm not the only one who noticed something wrong, right?" And now he was getting everyone else involved in his mess.

If Yuta was alone, he could have called Arihiko bananas and moved on. In fact, insulting his brain capacity would probably even be nostalgic. Alas, Yuta was not here alone.

His beloved girlfriend, Arcueid was also here. While she was as lovable as a vampire could possibly be, she was also as dumb as a vampire could be... sometimes. Sometimes she could also be very smart. Really, at the end of things her actions would be a coin toss.

And this time, the coin was not on Yuta's side.

Arcueid nodded towards Arihiko. "Yep, I noticed too." There was a big pout on her face. "It's ruining the food you know?" Ah, this is why she decided to let the stupid side win. One should not mess with a princess' food.

The vampire continued, as if she was the victim here. "And it's also ruining my time with Yuta! It's pretty rare for us to go on a date like this." He couldn't deny that...

Arihiko nodded. "Well, there's one on my side..." He looked at Yuta. "And you?" Oh boy.

Yuta let out a groan of frustration. "Please don't bring me into this..." He just came here to see if Sacchin wanted to jump his nuts, not to see if she had family problems.

Not that Yuta knew where Arihiko had gotten the idea that she hated her parents. There could be plenty of other reasons why she disliked coming to the restaurant.

Sacchin let out a whimper. "Why am I suddenly under interrogation...?" Her attempts at gaining sympathy only gained a glare from Arcueid.

Yuta sighed. "You are not under any kind of interrogation, and Arihiko is about to apolgize..." He glared at the delinquent. "Right?" He sure hoped Arihiko didn't escalate things further.

Sacchin was no Yuta's type, but as a girl she sat atop of Arihiko in his hierarchy. And so, he would totally throw down with the delinquent for her.

Huh? That's incredibly stupid and also kind of sexist?

Yep. One should not forget about how Yuta's goal in life was making a harem. Stupidity and low-levels of sexism were kind of his trademark.

Arihiko slowly nodded. "Sure..." At least he had some amount of common sense. "So now spit out, what's wrong with this place, Yumizuka?" Or maybe not after all.

Sacchin sputtered. "What was even the point of apologizing in the first place!?"

The delinquent smirked. "To clean a few sins off my back. If you pile them too much, you break, you know what I mean? But if you repente, then it's fine to sin again." Somehow this guy was even more twisted than Vlov...

Sacchin grit her teeth. "Well, you never actually gave me time to forgive you, so I hope you don't like having a working spin-!" Sadly she got interrupted.

Her mother, which was decently faw away from the table, sushed her. "Sacchin, watch your tone when we're open!" So even her parents used the legendary nickname!?

Actually, they might be the creators of it...

Sacchin flinched. "Sorry...!" I bet she was more scared of her mom hearing what Arihiko was saying than anything else.

The girl then started to mumble to herself. "Though it's not like we have any other customers right now anyways..." That was sadly true. The restaurant was pretty empty.

Yuta awkwardly smiled. "Welp, I'm sure it's gonna get filled with more people later at night..." Which means it would get filled soon.

Sacchin lowered her head. "No it won't. This place is barely alive... I doubt it will survive the year." Oi. "To be honest, it has been struggling for a while, but a new restaurant opened near here recently, and it has pretty much been our death sentence."

No, seriously...

She continued. "Hah... dad and mom don't really have experience with anything else. I'm sure they could have found new jobs if they were looking for it as soon as the signs showed, but they were stubborn, so now the future is uncertain."

"Well, there is something they're certain about... they're certain about how they hate each other." Hah? "I don't know if I should blame the failing of the restaurant or something else, but I've evasdropped them talking about divorce a few times now."

A sigh escaped her mouth. "In the end though, I guess it's for the best... It's just that I feel like I'm drifting in the ocean without any control, you know? And now that the money is getting do tight, I've been thinking about finding a part-time job..."

"A few of my friends recommended me compensated dating... and I guess that sounds like a good idea. I had a guy I had my gaze on, but now I don't have time for romance. Ugh... I really wish something interestesting would happen." She looked to a window.

"Something to take me away from the mundane... like a vampire showing up and biting me. Anything." And so ended her rant.

Arihiko's and Yuta's jaws had hit the floor.

Arcueid looked at her food. "I don't think any food really reaches the level of a pizza. Why even eat anything else?" Not everyone was a perpetually healthy vampire.

Yuta was the first to recover. He was used to girls suddenly dropping really sad facts about themselves on his lap, so comforting them was slowly becoming something he was a master of doing.

"That's... really fucked up, Sacchin." Normally he didn't call her by the nickname, but making her feel like she had friends was probably important right now. "You... um... wanna talk more about it?" He looked around. "In a place where you're more comfortable?"

She looked away. "Like... where?"

Arihiko then finally recovered. "I know a bar that's pretty shoddy. They let us dumbasses enter and drink without checking pretty much anything, even if we show up wearing uniforms." Wow, that was pretty shoddy!

Yuta held back a chuckle. "Is this the wisdom of a delinquent?" He wasn't sure about this. As a responsible adult, it was probably his duty to stop kids from drinking.

Also, Arcueid was here and looking bored out of her mind. Letting her get drunk was probably not the wisest thing he could do... Though, knowing her, she probably had some crazy alcohol resistance due to being a True Ancestor.

Arihiko nodded. "Yep. It's something that good boys like you, and good girls like Yumizuka can never know about."

Yuta raised an eyebrow. "Since when am I a good boy? Am I not mysterious and all that?" That was totally part of his charm.

Arihiko snorted. "Hah! You're mysterious alright... Can't deny that when you live with Senpai, have a crazy stalker girlfriend who just happened to be on our school for some reason, and two weird cute sisters." Should he kill him for calling them cute or weird? Choices...

"But you just ain't a bad boy. Your smile is too sauceless, your aura too lackin'." H-he had plenty of aura! "You're the type of guy who cries at other people's backstories. Hell, you almost cried for Yumizuka just now." He did!?

The girl immediately agreed. "Yeah, you're the type of guy who makes me feel safe... which is super lame." And so his theory of Yumizuka being into him met a grisly end.

He looked at Arcueid. "Please defend your boyfriend." If this continued he would summon Rika to defend himself.

The vampire raised an eyebrow. "They're praising you though...! Anyways, are we gonna get drunk or not?" A grin appeared on her face. "If you all don't wanna go to the bar, then I have a personal collection we could use..." That sounded dangerous.

Sacchin took sometime to think.

There were tons of obvious issues with her going out and getting drunk. The first one was that she never got drunk in her life, and she didn't know if she was ready for that experience when her companions consisted of a delinquent, a boy she sort of knew, and that boy's girlfriend. The other problem was that if her mom or her dad realized she had gone out to get drunk her life would basically end at the spot.

In the end however... "You know what? Sure. Let's go." Who cared if she got caught? The worst that would happen was her getting grounded.

With that said... "By the way Okkotsu, can you even go? Don't you have your job or something?"

He sighed. "Ah... I hadn't really thought of that... I could try calling Sen-, my boss and see what she thinks..." Hey Senpai, can I skip work to go out drinking!? Yeah, that will go well.

"Yeah, there's no way... Sorry Sacchin, I know I'm the one who started this whole idea of us going out and talking, but... I can't skip on work." Ciel would have his head.

Sacchin nodded. "Well, I can't blame you for that... but maybe you can show up later?" Oh? "I was thinking, there's no way this bar is already open right? We are gonna need to go later. Maybe by then your workshift will be done!" His work ended when Senpai chose to end it.

He hummed. "We'll see..."

She pouted. "Right... Well, at least Arihiko and I can go." Since Arcueid was only here due to being Yuta's girlfriend, she was automatically assuming she would not go.

Arihiko raised a hand. "Actually, if it's just me going, then maybe we shouldn't go after all. We need to remember there's a serial killer on the loose."

Sacchin raised an eyebrow. "It's not just you! The whole objective is taking me there. Besides, are you really afraid of some serial killer?" Who wouldn't be?

Arihiko scoffed. "Of course! I've been in plenty of street fights, but even I know to step out when the dude has a knife or a gun. Not to mention how a serial killer doesn't play fair." It wasn't something that really could be fought.

"And by the way, it totally makes a difference to have one less guy on our little group." Arihiko nodded to himself. "No serial killer picks a fight with two guys, but tons of serial killers will pick a fight with one guy and one girl."

Sacchin pouted. "C'mon...! What are the chances we will even stumble on this guy?" Ah, she was definitely getting frustrated.

Yuta looked at Arcueid. "Hey, can you go with them? Just to keep an eye on them." Then no serial killer would be able to stop them, even if that serial killer happened to be of the supernatural variety.

Arcueid shook her head. "Don't wanna... I just want to spend time with you." Basically, wasting time taking care of Sacchin and Arihiko would eat at the time she used for stalking people.

So that option was out of the way, especially since he wasn't about to order Arcueid to do something. It went without saying that Rika would also definitely not agree at being their bodyguard from the shadows.

Arihiko raised an eyebrow. "Dude, what would your girlfriend even do anyways? It has to be two men!" He ended with a confident smile.

Right. These two didn't know Arcueid was a vampire.

Yuta pinched his nose. "I... I will talk with my boss." He scratched his cheek. "If I get a no though, we are just gonna have to leave this for tomorrow."

"I don't understand why you just don't skip work." Truly a delinquent.

In the end Ciel had been surprisingly okay with it.

Some part was due to her not wanting Yuta to be in danger. Another was how she still wasn't sure if he was ready. Another was how she thought Noel needed more work. Another was about how Mario was around and she didn't want the two interact.

So Sacchin got her wish of going out and getting drunk.

Except no one was really that drunk as they returned home. "W-wow...! That was crazy!" Sacchin was red in the face, but she had barely touched any alcohol. Maybe because she was scared of it.

Nonetheless, since this was her first time, some feeling of ecstasy at breaking a taboo was definitely running through her body.

Arihiko rolled his eyes. "Sure was." He too hadn't drinked much, both because he was still worried about Souya's serial killer, and because he decided to match pace with Sacchin.

"Y-Yuta... I can't see where I'm going." Arcueid had drank a lot, and was currently using her boyfriend's shoulder for support.

"Honestly, since its this dark out, I can't really see it either." And Yuta wasn't sure if she was actually drunk, or just faking it to throw herself at him. As said before, her intelligence was always up to a coin toss.

Though he supposed it didn't really bother him in this instance.

Sacchin raised a finger. "Don't worry about seeing stuff. I have a natural affinity for alleyways." They were taking a shortcut back home. Though not because Sacchin actually knew her way around this area. In fact, Arihiko was the one who did.

What let us take this shortcut was the mighty Google Maps!

Arihiko suddenly stopped us. "Wait a sec. I see a guy up front." He was basically just a shadow for their eyes, but in an alleyway like this that was already pretty scary.

For them of course. Yuta and Arcueid were way too strong, which is why they didn't stop this dumb alleyway idea in the first place.

Sacchin immediately hid herself behind Yuta. "For real...?" It seems that while he was not her type, she was totally willing to use his safety aura when convenient. How based.

Arihiko nodded. "Probably just a drug addict or something, but let's turn around." He was whispering so the supposed drug addict wouldn't turn around.

Arcueid yawned. "Why? Let's just keep going." As one would expect, she had no fear.

Yuta's eye twitched. "Let's follow Arihiko's advice. It's better to avoid shaddy night people." Ciel and Noel were probably being shaddy night people right now... Thankfully they hadn't run into them.

Naturally Arcueid ignored him and just kept walking.

Yuta followed her. Which made the other two follow him. Which made Yuta as tense as one could be... and so he noticed.

That man smelled of blood. "Yo, Arcueid, that guy isn't norm-!"

She noticed too, most likely when she got closer. "Yup!" In one movement she knocked the thing's head off. Since it was most likely just some ghoul, it wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.

It was worrying though. The presence of a ghoul usually meant something more insidious would be happening soon... Though Yuta supposed a normal ghoul was way better than the massive spider he had fought the other day.

Leaving that aside however...

"Oh my gosh!" Sacchin covered her mouth as she watched Arcueid do the impossible.

And Arihiko wasn't fairing much better. "Holy shit...!" Hopefully he would use this lesson to never go into alleyways again. Why was his setting constantly changing from mega worried to way too lax?

Yuta awkwardly smiled. "Welp, I guess you got that taste of the supernatural you wanted Sacchin." It was ironic in a way, though they were basically asking for it.

His calm reaction must have done something to set them off, because Arihiko grabbed Sacchin's hand and immediately turned around to run.

Yuta sighed. "Please cut off their escape, Arcueid." He bet he didn't look like a safe guy now! Which wasn't a good thing.

Ugh, did he feel confident enough with his fairly new mage abilities to mess with the mind of someone? Not really.

"On it!" Arcueid leapt above them, doing something much more supernatural then knocking a guy's head off. "No escape!" Which meant the alleyway was now closed off.

Arihiko had to stop so suddenly that he almost fell... and almost took Sacchin with him. "Shit...!" Honestly, he should have guessed something was off when he saw that Arcueid had red eyes. The two of them were way too cool with that.

Sacchin gulped. "W-what's going on... what are the two of you going to do with us...?" She sounded surprisingly calm, even though her words didn't really reflect that.

Yuta put his best disarming smile that he had. "Nothing. Sort of. You guys ever watch Men in Black? It's gonna be like that, but with a cute glasses wearing girl instead." It was time to call his senpai!

Ah, he had ditched work to go get drunk, failed to get drunk, and then accidentally revealed the supernatural to someone. Ciel was gonna kill him.

AN: Ah... I'm super late... again... Sorry! I really need to get my head in the game! I feel like a high schooler turning in their homework late... which is a thing I did a lot back in those days... I guess somethings never change...

On the topic of Tsukihime though, Remake Sacchin has some really nice boobs.
