"Um... so Kotori, why did you call me here?" As soon as he got home and cleaned himself up, she had dragged him into the Fraxinus.

He had a theory on the why of it. Kotori probably wanted some excuse for them to be alone so they could discuss... that incident. The only reason why he was asking it, was because he hoped that wasn't the case. He still didn't feel ready.

She blushed bright red, hesitating to even respond... For some reason she was wearing her white ribbons, something she usually didn't do when she was working.

His sister was a interesting gal, when wearing her black ribbons she could become confident, willful, and maybe even a bit rude. However, when wearing her white ribbons she would become a meek little crybaby. He didn't get why that was the case, but it was.

So right now she was definitely feeling nervous. "I-it's so we can do a medical check-up on you." Well, they were on that area of the Fraxinus. "Reine is on her way..."

He tilted his head. "I see. I'm not against it of course, but this is unusual. This isn't my normal weekly check-up, is it?" Now that he had confirmed they weren't gonna be talking about... that, he felt a bit more comfortable.

She pouted. "Isn't it obvious? It's so we can find out why your pathways got... messed up during yesterday." Ah. That made sense.

Last time such an event happened, he almost self-destroyed, and it was quite the trial to fix his body. Since this time he somehow fixed himself, there's no way they could just ignore it.

She continued. "I also told the other spirits about it... T-they will be keeping an eye on you, b-big bro." Normally he would be annoyed at something like that.

He already got way too much attention as it is, he didn't need them to be even more clingy. However, he could now blame his previous distress as just him being worried about his spirit power going haywire.

And that was that. Shido could now wait for Reine with a big smile on his face, and no worries at all.

Just like Kotori was doing, except she had tears in the corner of her eyes, and she was trembling! But it was okay! Nothing was wrong at a—.

She definitely wanted to talk about what happened yesterday. That was also probably the reason she dragged him in here before Reine even arrived. Really, how much of an inconsiderate asshole could he be? To try and avoid such a important conversation for so long? Even when it was hurting his own sister...

It didn't matter if he still wasn't ready, she needed to talk with him. So as a big brother, Shido would step-up! "H-hey Kotori, a-about yesterday..." And yet, the moment he opened his mouth all that courage disappeared.

There was now hope on Kotori's eyes however. "Yes...?"

He cleared his throat. "It's just... we should probably talk about it, right?" This would be so much easier if she was wearing her black ribbons! Since she wasn't, he was being forced into leading this conversation.

She slowly nodded. "Uhum..." Did she have nothing to add!?

No, he couldn't blame his little sister for being scared of this! Her own brother took her virginity! "Kotori, I'm just gonna come out and ask... do you hate me now?" Should he jump off a bridge or something?

She immediately threw herself at him with a surprise hug. Thankfully he had enough spatial awareness to not fall back, though it also helped Kotori wasn't exactly a juggernaut.

She desperately denied it. "Of course I don't hate you big bro! I love you! I always will!" And she would shout that as many times as it took to drill it in his very, very, very thick head.

A light smile appeared on his face. "I see... thank you Kotori. It goes without saying that I love you too." He hugged her back.

It was scummy of him, the type of things only true villains would do, but he was truly glad she hadn't begun hating him after that incident. She, Mana, and his adoptive parents were the only family that he had, he didn't want to lose them.

Mukuro was also there too, but mostly because if he said otherwise she would probably go back to her planet destroying ways. Spirits were scary.

However, there was one more thing he needed. "But is the love you feel roma—."

"Yeah, I love you as a man, big brother!" Did she need to still call him big brother then!? And wasn't she supposed to be shy and hesitant right now, why was her answer so immediate!?

He sputtered. "R-right, got it... So... um... I..." What was he supposed to say now!?

"But I understand if big brother doesn't see me as a woman..." Huh? "I'm not exactly someone with a womanly body like Tohka, or Miku, or whatever after all..." The biggest problem here was the sibling thing, actually.

Shido flinched. "That isn't an issue Kotori, I... love your body...?" Even he didn't know where he was going with this.

Now it was her turn to sputter. "Y-you do!?" His dick certainly did. Losing his virginity was a unforgettable experience, that was for sure.

He slowly nodded. "I love everything about you." If Kotori saw him as a man, then he needed to see her as a woman. At least after what he had done. "So... if you want to enter into a relationship with me... I..." Saying he was willing to do it felt cruel, in a strange way.

And Kotori could probably feel his hesitation. "Big brother... if you don't want this, then you don't have to force yourself." He definitely had! "I-I mean, I bet you're thinking about how you have to take responsibility for what you done and get married and stuff like that, right!?" Yeah, that was more or less his thoughts.

He also had to confess about how he had cheated on her with Origami. That was bound to go well...

She continued. "But you don't have to take responsibility for anything! It's not like you even had any control over yourself when you... had sex with me." That was true, in a way.

It was easy to say nobody could be blamed for what had happened. Shido was intoxicated with spirit power, he wasn't thinking straight. Kotori was being forced by a being far stronger than her, it was natural that she hadn't resisted. So yeah, nobody did anything wrong.

If Shido was a third-party in this, he would have definitely argued that nobody had anything they needed to take responsibility for.

But he wasn't a third-party. Kotori was his dear sister, a person he swore to himself that he would never hurt, no matter what. And he had broken that silent promise in the worst way imaginable.

So he would take responsibility! "No Kotori, I... I want you to be my woman! Not just because of the responsibility thing, but because I love you!" And part of taking responsibility, was not letting her to know that he was taking responsibility.

Her eyes widened, clearly shocked. "You do, big bro...!?" She had dreamed to hear those words with that context.

It's just that in her mind it didn't involve her getting pounded into oblivion the night before. Actually, that was a total lie. She had many dreams where Shido would pound her into oblivion and then confess his love. In her defense, puberty.

He nodded, trying to show his determination. "I do! So if you take me... then I'll definitely take you! It doesn't matter what tried to stand on my way, the spirits, our parents..." The police. "I'll somehow breakthrough all of them!"

What he was essentially saying is that he would be the one to explain to everyone that he was fucking his own sister. He could only hope his parents wouldn't come back just to kick him out of the house or anything.

Kotori smiled. "Big bro... Yes, I'll take you!" She began standing up on her tip toes, begging for a kiss.

He obliged of course, there's no way he could deny his sister anything... his lover anything. He really should stop thinking of her as a sister.

It was weird though. She was incredibly short, so not only did she have to stand ip on her tip toes, but he also had to lean down a lot to actually kiss her. Still, some part of that was weirdly exciting. Could it be that he was a pervert?

Of course he was a pervert. His girlfriend was his own sister, who he cheated on with a classmate.

He really needed to talk about that.

And he tried to as soon as the kiss ended. "So Kotori, there's one more thing I need to tel—."

"Nevermind that for now." She immediately began switching from her white ribbons, to her black ones. "I want to confirm something. You are my boyfriend now, right? No taking it back?" Where did that come from?

"Y-yeah...?"

"Good." She took a lolipop from... somewhere. As it was usual Kotori faction, she put it in her mouth. "Well then, I'm happy to be your girlfriend, bro." Seriously, why did she switch ribbons now!?

"By the way, don't worry about telling anyone. I will handle mom and dad. This will definitely come off as a surprise to you, but they will totally be okay with this." They totally wouldn't!

She grinned. "And I will handle the spirits too." That sounded like a horrible idea. "I have to teach them the new hierarchy of our house after all. I don't want any crazy hijinks with my... my..." That grin morphed into a smile, it made Shido's heart race. "My boyfriend."

And it was because of that smile that he didn't object, even though he knew she was going to handle this horribly. As usual, he would just have to handle the aftermath and calm down everyone once it was all over. He couldn't complain either, Kotori was now his girlfriend, and if she wanted to impose a few limits, that would be totally understandable.

He imagined any girlfriend in the world would get mad if she saw someone like Miku throwing herself at her boyfriend. And Miku was only one of many very straightforward spirits.

Kotori giggled to herself. "Yeah, my boyfriend." She had truly completely defeated the competition. Now even the more crazy spirits would have to step back a notch!

Honestly, she had been scared he would just try to throw this whole thing under the rug. That was unlike her brother of course, but being nervous and assuming the worst in a situation like this was pretty normal. That's why she had at first worn the white ribbons, as scummy as it was, she wanted to make him feel guilty.

Her work personality was too head strong, not exactly attractive. If he met her like that, there was a good chance he would just assume she could handle herself and forget about the whole thing.

She did say he could back out of course, but that was just to come off as nice and understanding. There's no way she was letting the man of her dreams leave after he came inside of her.

Shido cleared his throat. "Okay then, I don't mind that... but I need to tell you something really important Kotori." It was time to come clean.

Maybe she would forgive him since it happened before they officially got together?

Kotori squinted. "Okay then, wh—." But it seems their time was over.

Reine arrived.

Shido had tons of respect for Reine Murasame.

She was one of the few members of Fraxinus who didn't feel insane, even if she really should sleep more. She was also a very helpful woman in general, be it when she was being his doctor, or being his teacher. Honestly, she just felt like a very motherly figure.

Even if a big part of that was diminished when she pretty much admitted to knowing more than she let on, and yet refusing to confess it.

Nonetheless, being in her presence made him feel a lot calmer. He didn't even feel that frustrated that Kotori had left before he could confess to his cheating sins.

He smiled as he got up from the weird machine she had used to analyze him. "So, anything super strange?" Hopefully not. He really didn't need more stress in his life.

She began reading data from the machine, it was probably full of mambo jumbo Shido wouldn't be able to understand as a normal high schooler. "Yes Shin, this whole situation is very strange." Well, wasn't that reassuring.

"I believe I can explain most of it however... Right now I think your body is like a cocoon, and it's time for you to turn into a butterfly." She sighed. "That is to say, your body is about to evolve into something."

His eyes widened. "Evolve!? That's definitely bad, right!?"

She shook her head. "Not necessarily. It just seems like a normal process, one that is happening because we at Fraxinus are just too slow." That made it seem like it wasn't normal at all.

She continued. "There's a lot of details to it... but basically your body is trying to reach a new stage of strength, possibly to better contain all of the spirit power you have. It's lacking something however... something I believe you will gain with Nightmare." The last spirit would fix his body.

"However, until you seal her power, your body will keep trying to evolve before its ready. Which messes up your pathways enough to cause those... incidents, but not enough that your body doesn't know how to fix itself." He didn't get it most of what she said.

But what he did understood sounded very problematic. "Hey, wait a second, you're telling me I'm gonna go crazy again!?" That was bad. Really bad.

Even if the problem fixed itself, he really didn't want that sister fucker to emerge again!

She nodded. "Yes... I'm sorry Shin, but he will most likely make an appearance again." She raised a hand, and began patting his head. "You shouldn't be scared of it however. It's just like..." She closed her eyes, trying to think of a way to describe it. "Like being really drunk."

"You might do something or another that you regret it the next day, but you won't truly break your code of morals." She smiled. "And I know you're a good person, Shin. A good and responsible person." Reine was just trying to comfort him.

And unbeknownst to her, she was failing miserably.

Because either she was wrong about this being equivalent to being drunk, or Shido was a really bad person. Alternatively, being drunk was a lot more scary than she was letting it on.

He clicked his tongue. "If you say so... but I don't think most drunk people have super powers." Nor did he think they suffered the insane urge of confidence he did when in that mode. It genuinely made him feel like a god. A very pervy god.

Reine frowned. "Indeed, they do not. I can only say we will try out best to help you during those situations, and that... that the end is on sight, Shin. Only Nightmare remains." And then she could finally sleep again.

Yes, once Shido finally sealed Kurumi Tokisaki, she would finally be able to sleep again without constantly having horrible nightmares. And more importantly, she would finally have her reunion with the most import person in the world.

Not that Shido knew any of this. "You're right about that... All I have to do is find Kurumi." And then seduce her. Maybe. He still didn't know if he had any right to stop her crusade to end the Spirit of Origin.

Reine smiled in agreement. "I'm sure you will pull it off. Leaving that aside however, has anything had happened between you and Kotori recently...?"

A sudden dangerous bullet!? "N-no...?" Should he admit to it!? He had just gotten into a relationship with her, but he still didn't know how public Kotori wanted the whole thing to be! They hadn't even told their parents yet after all...! "W-why do you ask?"

Shido was definitely a easy person to read, at least when caught off guard.

So of course Reine immediately squinted her eyes, he was acting as suspicious as possible. "So something definitely happened... well, feel free to keep it to yourself of course. It's just that something strange is happening specifically to your pathways connected to Efreet."

"I can't figure out what exactly, and what the cause is. It's very worrying." Especially since even if Shido was unaware, she had created spirits.

Now something was happening that even she as a creator couldn't figure out. Something which related to her most important project. Which meant she would definitely need to make him confess what had happened to Kotori.

This was the biggest problem she had found in the past few years, if she was being honest to herself. Because while other things had been worrying, this was the first time she was actually lost.

Thankfully Shin was a good boy who would understand how dire the situation was and confess.

Shido flinched. "Welp, I'm sure it's nothing!" Yeah, there's no way he would voluntarily confess to having fucked his sister. He would rather be tortured.

And this was definitely related to him having fucked Kotori. He hadn't thought too much about it, but if kissing someone with affection for him was enough to seal their powers, then sex also had to have it's own weird effects.

For the first time in a while, Reine felt annoyed. "Okay then, Shin, but you do understand this is something I have to report to the commander, right?" In other words, Kotori was gonna know this.

And that was completely fine. "Uhuh. That makes sense." Then Kotori could decide if she wanted to share that information or not.

Reine could say nothing back. "Very well." She was angry.

But as expected, she could never stay angry at her Shin. She decided to be angry at Kotori instead.
