For many people in the world, what Shido was currently experiencing could be considered heaven.

On one side, he had the famous idol Miku Izayoi holding one of his arms, putting it between her breasts. On the other side he had the not very famous, but still very hot, Mukuro Hoshimiya doing the same thing to his other arm.

And while they were currently the closest to him, the living room was filled with other woman who at least had some level of affection for him. It wasn't love of course, but if they felt nothing, his sealing powers wouldn't work.

The truth is that Shido Itsuka was just being dense. Every single woman in this room was head over heels for him, to the point that his death would quite quickly lead to the end of the world due to their rage. Something which the one spirit who wasn't here, the time traveler, had seen quite a few times.

Leaving that aside, the only thing Shido Itsuka was experiencing was hell.

Because they weren't in the living room for no reason, Kotori had called them here to make an announcement.

Shido could hear the mutter to themselves.

Natsumi, as usual, was by Yoshino's side. "I wonder what's up this time... Maybe it's about Shido's spirit pathways." He had missed the moment, but she was probably referencing to when Kotori had told them about his condition.

Yoshino looked down. "I-I don't know, but I hope it's nothing serious..." And if it was serious, then she hoped it was good news like that time Westcott decided to bite the bullet.

Yoshinon, her puppet, began cackling. "I personally hope it's more news about people who I don't like shitting themselves to death!" That thing really had no self-control.

Because that thing was just Yoshino's true feelings after all. The girl was a bit to shy to actually say what she thought most of the time, but by channeling those feelings through ventriloquism she could make her ideal self.

Natsumi held back a snort. "Sure Yoshinon, that doesn't sound too bad." Did they even have enemies at this point though? DEM was pretty much over.

Well, Natsumi wouldn't mind if Kurumi suddenly bit the bullet. While she would forever support Shido and all of her friends, she also didn't exactly feel compelled to save a muss murdering maniac. And sure, she knew that was hypocritical since she had almost ruined Shido's life back when they were enemies, but Natsumi already considered herself trash all the time anyways.

While those two... three gossiped, on the other side of the room, the same thing was happening between Tohka and Origami.

The Princess looked down. "Ugh... I really hope Shido is okay." She felt awful as soon as Kotori had told them about Shido's condition.

That's probably why he had been feeling so bad, and she hadn't done anything about it. She just noticed and barely tried to help. Shido deserved better than that.

Origami grinned. "He looks much better now than he looked earlier. Everything should be fine." Her service really had done wonders. And it was a service she was willing to do as many times as he asked.

This time however, she hoped he could give her something that lasted a bit longer. Licking her hand clean of his semen had been a fun activity, but also something that was doomed to end quickly. Which is why he really should do her raw and impregnate her.

Tohka pouted. "I-I don't know what you did to help him, but next time I will do it instead, and I will do it even better!" She hated how Origami was being all smug and stuff! Shido hadn't even told her about the secret, so what right did she have to get cocky!

And yet, Origami just got more smug. "You'll do what's expected of you." A girlfriend had to at least try to please her boyfriend. And once that girlfriend pitifully failed, the mistress could enter in the equation.

Kaguya, Yuzuru, and Nia where in their own group of gossip.

The Sister smirked, it was shaky. "I don't know why, but I have a real bad feeling about this." It was a paranoia that could only be developed by a woman who used to be omniscient and lost her power.

Yuzuru nodded. "Agreement. The room feels strangely tense, and it doesn't help that Kotori is just... watching us." It was making even the generally emotionless girl tense.

She couldn't quite figure out what was up with her expression. It didn't seem like she was about to give bad news, but at the same time, there was no way she about to give good news with a smirk like that. It seemed perverted, for lack of a better word.

Kaguya was clueless, but she was worried about her sister. "I'm sure everything is gonna be alright Yuzuru! I mean, haven't we been super lucky recently? That's gonna continue! I bought a few lottery tickets by the way."

Yes, their luck had been incredible these past few days. Their enemies had died, and Shido's condition didn't go anywhere. It almost felt like a luck spirit was on their side.

Nia interjected. "That's dumb you know? Luck is like a limited resource, and I pulled a bunch of five-stars in Fate/Grand Order recently. Something's about to go wrong." She failed to mention how she had spent way too much yen to get them.

Yuzuru sighed. "Disappointment. You both are fools." Still, she really hoped Kaguya was right. And also that those lottery tickets ended up being winners.

Kurumi cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. She had enough of watching them squirm. "Okay, listen up everybody! Because this is really important news!" She glared at the two skans holding onto her boyfriend. "Especially for you two."

While Mukuro ignored her, Miku just threw her body against Shido even more. "Oh...! She's glaring at me, how cute!" If she could be sandwiched by her darling, and by Kotori, she would die a happy death.

Shido could only whisper to himself. "This is definitely not ending well." Couldn't Kotori deliver these news when he wasn't cornered in all sides?

Kotori's eye twitched. "You'll see if you're gonna think I'm cute in a few moments when I'm done with you." It was clear she was very frustrated. In her defense, there's no way a girlfriend wouldn't be if she saw her boyfriend like this.

Mukuro glanced at the idol. "Did you do something...?" She didn't interact much with the Diva, but she knew she could be a troublemaker.

Miku flinched, realizing maybe this situation was a bit more serious than she thought. "No...?" And then she sent a pleading look to Shido. "I didn't do anything Darling, I swear it!"

Shido slowly nodded. "I believe you." Kotori was being a bit too agressive for no reason.

His girlfriend clicked her tongue. "Yeah, you technically haven't done anything wrong since you don't know yet. But you better release Shido from your embrace right now! And that goes for Mukuro too!" It goes without saying that Kotori hadn't planned on being this combative.

She was the commander of Fraxinus, she knew the mood of spirits was very important... And yet, she was very insecure. There's no way she wouldn't be pissed at those titty monsters touching her boyfriend!

Miku, not wanting to enter in a conflict with a cute girl, quickly did as ordered. "Okie dokie!" It also helped that she really didn't want to be on the bad side of her future sister-in-law!

Mukuro however, was a bit more complicated. "Muku... doesn't want to let Mister go... He's really warm right now." She didn't need to obey Kotori, because she was family too.

Tohka raised an arm. "Hey, since Miku let him go, can I take her spot!" She had been waiting for an opportunity! But Miku was really clingy, and that was coming from her of all people.

Nia chuckled. "Geez, these waters really are infested by sharks." And she was one too. Would Kotori shout at her if she took Shido's side?

Shido, seeing that his sister was about to explode with anger, decided to interject. "Um... please let go of my arm for now, Mukuru." He could almost see her eyes darkening. "Kotori's gonna explain why soon, okay?"

Zodiac slowly let out a sigh. "Okay, since it's you who asked." But he could tell her mood had begun to fall. It wasn't anywhere near dangerous territory yet, but that could soon change. "But you aren't gonna give your arm to Tohka, are you?"

He turned his head from side to side. "Nope. To be honest I didn't know my arm was such a big prize!" And to demonstrate that, as soon as he announced his arm wasn't for sale, groans filled the room.

Nonetheless, Mukuro was satisfied. For now.

And so was Kotori. "Good. So let me get this done quickly... Shido and I are dating! We have become a lovey dovey couple!" And that was that. She pulled the trigger.

Except the bond didn't go off immediately.

First of all, Tohka tilted her head. "Dating...? Yes, Shido does that with all of us." Did she mean this whole living room reunion was one big date? Well, maybe if they kicked Origami out, that could be fun.

Origami glared at her. "You..." Since she knew Tohka was actually dating Shido, of course Princess playing dumb would annoy her.

But what was up with Kotori's declaration? Was she playing a prank as Natsumi had once accused her of?

Nia began laughing. "Oh Tohka, you are just adorable! Kotori means she and Shido became lovers." It went without saying that she also didn't believe Kotori. Siblings dating was hot and spicy and all, but it also didn't happen in reality.

Tohka covered her mouth in shock. "They did!?" At least she knew what that meant. "D-does that mean Shido won't go in dates with me anymore...?" Her mood had quickly plummeted.

The air began to tremble.

Shido knew he had to act. "N-no, that doesn't mean we won't go in dates anymore!" He knew Kotori would like that of course, but she was also smart enough to know the spirits couldn't be neglected.

The world itself was at stake here!

The wind became a bit weaker. "Really...?"

Kaguya was the one to reply. "Yep, really. Because those guys didn't even become lovers in the first place." She fake gagged. "I mean, can you imagine dating your own sibling!? It makes me wanna vomit."

Yuzuru smirked. "Agreement. As twins we can confirm that." She squinted her eyes. "Which means something else is—."

Kotori quickly cut her off. "No. We really are lovers now." She began defending herself before anything else could be said. "A-and before anyone says anything, Shido and I aren't related by blood anyways!" Now nobody could ignore their love.

Except they totally could, as Nia quickly showed. "The classic we aren't related by blood maneuver!? Amazing! Anyways, can we skip the jokes? They're funny and all, but differently from most people here, I actually have work to do." Being a mangaka was tough!

Seriously though. While she knew that Shido and her were not related, that didn't change the fact that Kotori had pretty much negative chances of actually making Shido fall for her. Everyone knew he saw her as his sister.

Kurumi grit her teeth. "S-shut up, moron...! Your manga made for dorks like my br—, like my Shido can wait!" From the outside it looked like she was pissed, but Shido knew better. His sister was about to cry.

She had hundreds of thoughts about inadequacy running through her head. Why weren't people taking her seriously? This wasn't a joke. And if someone like Miku was announcing this instead, they would definitely believe it... It wasn't fair!

Since Shido noticed his sister's clear distress, he decided it was time to speak up again. "Everyone, I know this may have come very suddenly..." He was stealing lots of glances at Origami as he spoke, she was definitely super confused.

But he couldn't worry about that right now. "But yes, Kotori and I are a couple." He puffed his chest. "She's the woman I love, so I ask that everyone respects her!" He would also like to ask for nobody to freak out.

To his surprise though, nobody freaked out.

Even Nia, the adult of the room, seemed mostly confused. "F-for real, boy?" No way, right?

Kotori growled. "For real! Which means things are about to change here!" She pointed at Miku. "No more being a creepy pervert towards my brother! You can throw your body at other people!"

And then at Mukuro. "The same goes for you! You're still family of course, but don't think that means you get to be all over my boyfriend!" The Zodiac's were beginning to darken again.

Kotori didn't care however, she moved to the next target in her line of sight. Natsumi. "I better not even catch a glimpse of you going sexy mode near my brother, got it!?"

Natsumi scowled immediately. Sexy mode was all she had!

Then it was Yoshino's turn to receive judgment. "And you... You... K-keep doing what you're doing, I guess." Or in other words, Yoshino was so far off winning that Kotori didn't even care about her.

The Hermit wanted to cry. She loved Shido too!

Kotori pointed at Origami. "No more sniffing clothes or stalking for you! If I see that, I will kick you out of the house!" Really, she should have said that way before she became Shido's lover. Origami was a creep.

As demonstrated by the fact that she looked as if she had just gotten shot. "B-but..." But in the end she acquiesced. Or at least she faked that.

Origami didn't know what was going on, but she had recently learned the power of pressing Shido against a wall and making him cum without his girlfriend being none the wiser. So she just knew everything was going to be okay.

After Origami, it was Tohka's turn. "And you... get ready for you date priority to end! You can throw as many temper tantrums as you want, but Shido will only go in dates with you when it's necessary!" Tohka was by far the girl she was most scared off. She had to throughly crush her.

And as Kotori had basically called it, Tohka began throwing a temper tantrum. "No! No! No! I'm gonna keep going on dates with Shido!" But she was ignored.

Kotori had moved so fast to the next target, that Tohka's tantrum went basically unheard. And as soon as the Princess noticed that, she began standing completely still, even if tears were accumulating at the corner of her eyes.

The next target was the twins of course. "You two, no more competing which twins gets my brother, because you both lose!" Much like with Yoshino, she didn't have much to say. They were fairly harmless...

Until now.

Yuzuru's face darkened as she muttered to herself. "Rage. As if I would lose to anyone who isn't Kaguya..."

Her twin folllowed the same pattern. "Yeah, I ain't giving him to anybody who isn't Yuzuru..." In the end Kotori was just making more enemies.

She didn't care, it was time for the final target. Nia. "And you! Don't even think about using your adult charms or whatever, damn pedo creep!" Nia was just as bad as Miku and Origami at their worst.

The Sister could only back off. "Alright, alright. I'm not gonna lose my head over you dating Shido." Even if it was messed up. In the end Nia was an adult, she could take a rejection on the chin, even if she loved the boy.

The same did not apply to the other spirits here...

In a way, it was lucky and unlucky that Kotori had won this race.

If it had been Tohka in her place being all bossy, everyone would just nod their heads and go with it. It was only natural that Tohka would win, everyone could tell she was the closest to Shido's heart from day one.

If it had been another spirit, rage would quickly take over the room. No doubt many accusations of why her and not me would be thrown around as Japan became a battlefield.

But Kotori had won, the person who nobody expected to win. So the spirits were still stuck processing what had just happened... but that would change one day. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next week. Who knows. In the end, the seeds of resentment had definitely been planted.

Shido really wanted to run away. "So guys, now that everybody knows what's going on, I'm gonna make dinner! It's gonna be extra tasty today!" Maybe that would make them feel better.

It didn't. For once not even Tohka had enjoyed the food.

Shido Itsuka was a terrified man.

He didn't know what kind of monstrosities he would face tomorrow, but he was pretty sure it would involve a lot of dating. Kotori would see how bad the mood of the spirits had gotten once she went back to the Fraxinus after all.

Tomorrow she might also have a talk with him about what Reine had discovered. She didn't really mention it in today's reunion, but now that their relative was public, there was no reason to hide it anymore.

In the end however, that was all things that would happen in the future. For now he could close his eyes and have a goodnight's sleep.

It felt weird knowing nobody was going to sneak inside of his room in the middle of the night, but it also felt nice. He so rarely had time for himself... In the end he fell asleep surprisingly quickly.

And then he woke up surprisingly quick as well.

There was something moving under the covers, something touching him under the covers. That something was undoubtedly disobeying Kotori's orders, and it was also definitely the reason why he had prematurely woken up.

He pulled the covers. "Hey!" He was expecting one of three people.

Nia, Miku, and Origami. Not only because they constantly did things like this, but also because they were totally the type who would continue their advances even after a guy got a girlfriend. Especially Miku, who would probably be aiming at getting the guy... and the girlfriend. A two for one deal.

Except his guess had been wrong. The person who greeted him was a innocent looking Mukuro. "Mister...? Sorry for waking you up." That is the least of his concerns here!

A red blush immediately enveloped his face. "I-it's fine...! But what are you even doing here!? Kotori is gonna get super mad!" He didn't even know she could be sneaky like this! Maybe she had used Michael?

"That's okay, Kotori can get mad." The Zodiac was smiling.

As far as she was concerned, Kotori's opinions didn't matter at all. She was Shido's family, which made her important of course, but Shido was Mukuro's family, which made him a thousand times more important than Kotori.

It was a weird type of logic that only a spirit who spent years alone in space could concoct. Even she was aware of that to a certain extent. It didn't matter though, she wouldn't change, she had no desire to change. She just wanted Shido to stay by her side.

Shido sputtered. "No, it isn't okay! If she gets mad at me... Look, as her boyfriend, I have to take care of Kotori, okay?" A good boyfriend didn't let other girls crawl onto his bed. And he was aiming to be the best boyfriend ever!

A good boyfriend also didn't let another girl jerk him off in a restroom.

Mukuro pouted. "Are you kicking Muku out, Mister?" Yeah, it was just a cute little pout. If you barely knew Zodiac that is.

But Shido knew better than that. "Well... um..." Mukuro was furious. She had been furious ever since the living room meeting. Could he really afford to make her mood even worse?

She moved her face closer to him. "Are you going to kick Muku out or not?" She began holding onto him, cutting off his escape. "It's not fair if you kick Muku out just because Kotori asked, Mister, because Muku is family too, right?" She understood that as family... and as his lover, Kotori had some rights.

But she was family too.

Unless she wasn't. Unless it turned out her bond with Shido wasn't as unbreakable as he had promised. And in that case, then she would need to get to work again.

She wouldn't target Shido anymore of course, that had gone horribly wrong last time. She could however, make everyone forget about Kotori instead, or make Kotori forget how to breathe... If she died like that, nobody would suspect her of being the killer, right?

Shido knew he was in a dangerous spot, he had to be careful.

Because the sad truth was... Mukuro had never learned her lesson. She had never truly learned that she shouldn't hurt people just because she was afraid of losing them. All she had learned, was that Shido was her family, and so she shouldn't fear losing him in the first place.

It was something he was tremendously worried about, that one day she would make new friends or find a boyfriend, and then hurt their loved ones out of the fear of getting abandoned. Only Shido was her family after all, only Shido had an unbreakable bond with her.

To be honest, it was something Shido hoped would just go away as she befriended the other spirits and spent time with them. And maybe his plan was working... but clearly Kotori had thrown a wrench into it.

"I'm... not kicking you out, Mukuro." He couldn't, hopefully Kotori would understand. "But we will have to tell Kotori about this tomorrow, okay?" Because he had to be honest with his lov—.

Let's forget about certain restroom activities.

Mukuro slowly nodded "Okay." It was as if she had never gotten mad in the first place.

Shido gulped. "So... let's go to sleep then!" Surely Kotori would be fine with it? It wasn't like they were going to do anything sexual. It was akin to a guy sleeping with his sister.

He definitely shouldn't use that example with Kotori.

Shido Itsuka quickly fell asleep, hugged by what he called family.

When he woke up, he had golden shining eyes. "Heyyyy Mukuro, is my favorite gal awake yet?" That is to say, Shido Itsuka had went to sleep as a puppy, and woke up as a wolf!

He winked at her. "Yep, it's me. The sun has arisen, so we should too." Typically he woke up earlier than everybody else, but being dragged into his route was just the price she had to pay for going to sleep with him.

Mukuro's brain was slowly beginning to accept the fact that it was okay. "Alright, let's start the day..." She couldn't wait to spend even more time with her Mister!

The bed creaked.

"M-Mister, what are you doing?" Even someone like Mukuro couldn't help, but lose her composure.

Shido had just gotten atop of her. "Um... who knows? But I do think you own me something before the day starts, Mukuro?" He was acting strange. Super strange.

Mukuro had not been there the first time he had gone crazy with spirit power. And like almost everyone else, she had missed the second time too. All she had to go off was descriptions, and those were quickly fading away from her mind out of nervousness.

All she could think about was Shido's body atop of hers.

Her breathing accelerated. "I owe you something...? If Muku does, Muku will pay up of course..." This was strange. This was super strange. Why was her body suddenly getting hot?

Shido chuckled. "Yup. You owe me your body." It was like he was affirming a basic fact of life. "If a girl sleeps with me, I'll make damn sure she... sleeps with me!" Well, he would pull back if Mukuro was against it.

Shido could only flinch. "S-sorry..." Even in this state he didn't know what to say.

The truth is that his job was a cruel one. Mukuro's eyes widened. "W-what do you mean...?" She wasn't particularly perverted, not like Miku or anything.
