It's True Love 69

"What's with me being interrupted by blonde children on the way to school...?" Though at least this one wasn't a new child.

Manaka Sajyou stood before him, looking kind of grumpy if he was being honest. Considering she was from a magus family, he really didn't want to make her his enemy. That's why his body was completely tense right now.

Kohaku pat his shoulder. "It's your big bro energy, my big bro." Oh? He had that? "It's kinda like you're an animal letting out a special type of pheromone during mating season."

He didn't want this special type of pheromone then! "Please don't compare me attracting kids to mating seasons. At least not while Senpai is present." Or Rika. The sinful had to hide their sins!

His Senpai rolled her eyes. "Are you two going to keep joking around, or is Yuta talking to that child?" Ah. Right.

Thankfully someone did approach poor Manaka before he did. That someone was Hisui. "Are you lost...?" She would have probably be seen as pretty scary by a kid if this had happened a few days ago.

But nowadays Hisui always had a light smile in her face, instead of looking like a emotionless robot. Basically, she was a lot more approachable. It was certainly a heartwarming sight if nothing else.

Manaka however, failed to appreciate the good things in life. "I wish you would get lost. I'm here to talk with Yuta, not with you." The little girl was impatiently tapping her feet on the ground.

Seeing his little sister's efforts being so easily dismissed almost made him cough up blood. Yuta began to wonder if killing a child would be morally acceptable.

Hisui was stronger than he expected however. "Um...? You know my Elder Brother then?" She lightly chided. "If you do, then you should know he doesn't like this type of attitude." Not exactly true.

Yuta loved snarky little brats, as did any good loser that would end up in hell. It's just that he preferred when he was taking the brunt of the bratdom, and not his little sister.

Manaka clicked her tongue. "I know... Geez, you turned out so weird here." Turned out cute! Also, that is a very weird thing to say. "Though I suppose this is what makes this so fun."

Yuta finally decided to spare Hisui the suffering, and walked closer to Manaka. "What's that supposed to mean?" He was already expecting her to deflect his question, as it was how things tended to go when he was involved.

Manaka's face immediately shifted from grump, to happiness. "It's because I'm connected to the Root! And while I am not omnipotent, for a long time I considered myself omniscient. And since knowledge is truly power when it comes to magecraft, I am basically omnipotent." Um...

Those were certainly some crazy words to say. It was making Yuta think of something...

And her blue princess like dress was messing with his head even more.

The little girl continued. "It was a pretty boring life though... Since I already knew everything, it's not like there was any point in doing anything, right? It felt like playing a visual novel where you know literally every single line of dialogue from every single route from the start." She knew visual novels...?

Well, according to her she knew everything, but... Yuta was beginning to realize something.

A sigh escaped her mouth. "That said, there was one ray of light in my path... King Arthur, more specifically Arthur Pendragon. My destined love." Welp, that sealed, he finally understood what this is all about.

A girl claiming she's actually the center of the universe? Dressing like a princess? Saying she's bored with everything? Saying she destined to be with King Arthur?

This girl is just a big ol' chuuni.

Manaka grit her teeth. "And I mean it when I say he is my destined love. For me he was the only light that existed, the one who would end my boredom and whisk me away to happiness." Then why did she look angry...?

"But then I meet you! Not a prince, but a void!" Ah, her chuuni delusions were getting worse. "I didn't know a single thing about you...! It was like I was meeting a boy for the very first time! A-and since I'm a y-young girl... well..."

She rushed at him, and giving him a hug. "I fell in love! Please abandon all these worthless girls and reciprocate my feelings!" Wow, a chuuni yandere!

Well, he had seen the yandere thing coming from a mile away due to the whole stalker thing.

Kohaku's eye twitched. "Huh? What's with this girl coming in and dumping some insane backstory like anyone cares?" In terms of backstory, no one could overpower this ex-maid! "She's not even a little sister..."

Hisui looked down. "I think... I think not being someone's little sister actually makes it easier to romance them." Ah, the power of common sense.

It went without saying that both twins had no clue what the Root was. They knew about the supernatural, but that knowledge was both limited, and had come from a non-magus family. So for them Manaka was just sprouting nonsense.

And as for Ciel. "A magus, huh..." She had put together the fact that the little girl wasn't normal, but that was about it. She definitely didn't believe any of that Root talk.

The executor had once been bound to a vampire who had figured out how to trick the Root with his knowledge. Knowledge that she now had. Which is why she knew exactly how ludicrous Manaka's claims were.

It wasn't impossible... technically. It was very, very, very unlikely however. Unlikely enough that she wouldn't believe it without evidence. Especially since Yuta already existed and was a walking miracle. How likely was for her to stumble onto two miracles so soon!?

Actually, there was Shiki. The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception weren't even supposed to exist in modern times, and it was no exaggeration to call him a miracle. And then there was that other girl named Shiki, who also had the eyes. And then there was Aoko who was the last True Magician. And then Ciel herself was a walking miracle...

Maybe she should start believing it after all.

And as for Yuta... "Chuuni! You're such a chuuni little gremlin!" It was downright precious really.

Manaka gasped. "That's how you react to my confession!?" It came so out of nowhere that she did not have the strength to get angry. In Yuta's defense, her confession also came out of nowhere.

Kohaku spat. "Well, you are very chuuni." It seemed she was now holding a grudge over how her sister had been rejected, even though the opponent was a child. Could it be that Kohaku was the most shameless being alive?

Nope. It was still Yuta.

Alas, Hisui did not approve of such caring behavior. And so she pulled Hisui by the ear. "Do not insult a young lady in a moment like this!" She really was becoming more comfortable with being herself.

Kohaku seeing this, could only smile... even if she was in pain. "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!"

The younger twin then shifted her gaze at Yuta. "And Elder Brother, please take this situation a bit more serious, won't you?"

Manaka quickly nodded. "Yes!" Without a doubt she was now growing to appreciate the younger twin. If she got a fetish for maids then the world would definitely change forever.

Yuta sighed. "Right... Even if it comes from a massive chuuni, I should take her feelings seriously." That was the burden he chose to carry when he became a harem protagonist. Also, considering his origins, he really couldn't mock young love.

He tenderly held her hands between his. "Manaka..."

"Yes...?" Her eyes had heart pupils. Seriously, when did she fall so hard?

Well, it didn't matter right now. It was time to pull the good ol' harem protagonist maneuver where he gently rejected her by saying he still didn't understand his own heart. Alternatively, he could comedicaly misunderstand her affections to hilarious results.

Nah. "I will totally be your boyfriend. Or your husband. Or your sex friend, even." A gentleman didn't reject a good cunny. Though now that he actually said it, he was against just being a sex friend! His heart longed for more.

Ciel shrieked. "Yuta...!?" Right, she was here.

And so was Kohaku, who began biting her nails. "Grrrr... If only I was a few years younger...!" She truly would have been a powerful menace. Without a doubt he would have lost that battle.

Hisui became pale. "This... this is wrong..." She was definitely expecting Yuta to reject the young woman. Even if gently.

The truth is that Hisui had a bit of a hero worship directed at Yuta. Which was understandable considering what had happened between them, but also constantly ended up with her having to confront dark realities.

At the end, for the sake of her own heart, soul and mind, Hisui decided that maybe love transcended age.

Manaka herself didn't know what those three were saying or thinking of course, as weird as that was for someone like her. Right now she was stuck in her little world of victory... and love. Because if Yuta could make her forget the entire rest of the universe in a single move, then there was no way this could be anything but love. True love. Pure love.

Which is why tears began descending from the corner of her eyes. "I'm so, so glad you feel the same way I do... I totally want to become your wife..." Before that however... "Now let's get rid of all those skanks."

It was a joyous occasion that he had accepted her. Truly.

Manaka really wasn't sure if this was going to work out. Everytime she got close to the boy, that annoying girl who also had some sort of connection to the Root would show up and ruin her effort just by being there with her gloomy aura. And even if Manaka did manage to approach him, he could just reject her. She had no way of knowing how he felt after all.

But now that he had accepted her, they could begin their life together... after she got rid of all the trash that could take him away from her. Rika was okay, the curse was basically his weapon, so she could stay, but the rest had to go.

Alas... "Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. Sorry, but I won't allow any harem genociding, little lady." He had to be careful.

She was a chuuni stalker, which meant she was totally willing to kill people. As chuuni stalkers do.

Naturally... or maybe unnaturally, Manaka couldn't accept that. "B-but...! But I can't risk them taking you away from me!" She was confident in her beauty of course, but...

Well, she had watched Yuta for quite sometime now. She knew he cared about quantity over quality, even if he would probably insist otherwise. Which is why... for his own good... she had to do some killing.

Yuta chuckled. "Don't worry Manaka, since it's a harem, nobody is taking me away. We are just sharing." Ah, what a glorious day this was. He felt like he was dealing with a second Rika.

Speaking of the curse, she was probably close to the limit of her patience considering this whole marriage talk. Hopefully Manaka wouldn't get scared once she inevitably popped out from his shadow to try and correct a brat.

Manaka's eyes lost their light. "Oh? Does that mean I can cut you in pieces and take one?" She wouldn't actually do that of course, but she wanted to intimidate him a little bit.

Yuta however, was familiar with this yandere tactic! "Sure, but just be sure everybody gets a equal piece." He could tell she wasn't serious.

Also, when a yandere said something like that, the target should comply if they were a smart person. Because once you overwhelm a yandere with acceptance, she becomes quite easy to control. This is something that even non-yandere lovers (fools) should keep in mind! Just in case!

Manaka pouted. "What if I want a bigger piece than everyone else...!?" Now that was just greedy.

Sadly, before Yuta could come up with a very clever comeback that would charm her panties, which probably had a little bear drawing, Ciel finally had enough. She didn't understand what was going on exactly, but she did know she didn't like it.

She interjected, and separated the two. "Nobody is getting a piece of anybody!" She glared at her boyfriend. "Yuta, who is this little girl? Why are you acting like you know her? Why are you accepting her advances."

Manaka clicked her tongue. "See, this is why we have to get rid of them..." To think some bloodsucker's leftovers would have the courage to interrupt her moment...!

Yuta could only look away. "Okay, so... Yes, I do know her. She's Manaka Sajyou, that stalker I told you about." By his Senpai's face, he could see such comments hadn't endeared Manaka to her.

Ciel's eye twitched. "And you are so casually accepting her why...?" Had she forgotten about Rika? And Arcueid? And—. Maybe he shouldn't start.

He casually waved her off. "Eh, it's alright. Besides, she's now my cute girlfriend." He just had to get her to accept the fact that he had many cute girlfriends. Cute girlfriends that really didn't deserve to die.

Ciel exasperatedly pointed at the chuuni stalker. "She's a child!" Albeit a very evil one.

Yuta shrugged. "She'll grow." He was willing to wait!

Manaka quickly interjected. "Exactly! Differently from certain annoying pests, I will grow!" It was quite clear that she was talking about Ciel, but...

It's not like Ciel needed to grow any more. She had grown enough!

Finally, his Senpai gave up, pulling him by the sleeve she began dragging him to school. "I am not allowing this!" Even the world's most forgiving girlfriend had reached her limit.

Manaka extended her hand. "Yuta!"

Alas, he could not grab it. "It's okay Manaka! I don't want to be late to class anyways."

And so, their forbidden love came to an end.

"Yuta, we need to talk." Shiki had approached him during lunch time.

The young executor smiled. "Is it about the diary?" That was his first guess. "If it isn't, and this is actually about wanting Hisui back... Rejected! Immediately rejected!" Speaking of Hisui, their talk should probably be quick.

Knowing his sisters, there was a decent chance they were about to barge into his class at any moment now.

Shiki waved him off. "It's not about either of those... Look, I'm just gonna come out and say it. Did you do anything to Sacchin?" Oh? "I don't know if you noticed, but she has been giving you weird looks recently." Maybe she really had that crush.

He continued. "There's also an weird aura about her... Like, she's constantly looking behind her." Leave to a born demon hunter to notice even a detail like that.

Yuta hummed. "I see... Something did indeed happen between us, but it wasn't anything crazy." He began explaining the little... adventure he had.

Shiki clicked his tongue. "I see. I'm glad Arcueid protected them, I'll be sure to thank her." And good ol' Yuta gained nothing? "Still, you don't think she actually remembers or anything that crazy, right?"

Yuta put a hand to his chin. "It's a possibility, but it wasn't like I was the one who did the hypnosis. It was Senpai, and she's super good at... well... everything." He stole a glance at Yumizuka. "You think I should confront her?"

Before he had the time to look back at Shiki, Yumizuka actually turned to look at him. As soon as their eyes met, her face went pale and she looked away. Without a doubt something was indded happening.

His cute Senpai did say to watch our for her...

Shiki sighed. "Maybe not. She looked like a horrified animal just now." So he seen it too. "Honestly, maybe I should just let things resolve themselves." Good ol' passive Shiki.

Yuta snorted. "Nah. Now that you have brought this to my attention, I'm definitely looking into it." Immediately his friend glared at him. "I mean, this is related to me as well, so you can't blame me, you know?"

"I know, but..." But it was better to not stick one's nose where it didn't belong.

"No buts. I recently learned that when things like this pop up, you have to be an idiot and try to understand what's going on." Ignorance was never good. "Especially when it relates to one of my friends." He did care for Yumizuka to a certain extend.

He continued. "And she's your friend too, so you can't just ignore it..." He slowly raised an eyebrow. "Or maybe she's even more than just a friend? Huh?" Would Yuta be forced to back down!?

Shiki blushed. "She's just a friend, but... but you shouldn't mess with her. She's someone I need to protect." He nodded to himself. "Which is why you're right about me getting involved, even if I don't think a direct confrontation is the best choice."

Yuta shrugged. "You do you... but seriously, what's the deal with Yumizuka? You crushing on her, bro?" Shiki should thank the heavens that Yuta was not in NTR!

Somehow Shiki's face got even more red. "Y-you're just gonna make fun of me if I tell the truth, so drop the subject...!"

"Hah, with a reaction like that, I really need to know... I won't make fun of you bro. Feel free to tell me." Rika might though. People tended to forget, but she was always watching and hearing.

After sometime, he threw the towel. "F-fine...! You know... did you know Sacchin's parents are getting divorced?" He quickly nodded. "Well, part of the blame is on me, because... because... I'm dating her mother."

"For real?"

"For real."
