It's True Love 73
Added 2024-08-22 00:51:44 +0000 UTC"Hello, a pleasant morning, is it not?" Akiha lightly bowed towards him.
Yuta squinted his eyes at her. "Okay, so I'm just gonna come out and ask. Why are you here?" In his school to be more specific. She was also wearing his uniform...
She frowned. "What? Are you unhappy to see me...?"
He immediately stepped back. "N-no, of course not! I-I'm just curious!" He wished he could receive some sort of support in a situation like this, but...
Hisui was looking at him with a worried look while saying nothing. Kohaku was looking at nothing while saying nothing. And Ciel too had decided to stay silent while occasionally glaring at Akiha.
Oh, and Sacchin was also sort of involved in this. Mostly because she was glaring at Yuta from afar for some reason.
Akiha chuckled. "A weak response, but I shall let it pass. I have transferred to your school." Ah. "I was growing tired of a long commute to my old one, considering this one is much closer to my house, it was a natural pick."
She continued. "And besides that... it could be helpful for us to be able to meet as soon as school is over. Do you not agree?" This way the could have some extra time to hunt down the mysterious vampire.
Yuta nodded. "Yeah, I see what you're saying..." He grinned. "So basically you changed schools because of me! The power of love compell—."
"I did no such thing!" As expected, she was now blushing. "What part of my explanation made you think this was about you, you arrogant fool!?" At this point Akiha was convince Yuta was pride incarnate.
Or maybe lust.
Or maybe greed...?
Well, whatever he was, it was cleary not good. "I'll have you know that if I do have any other reason to have joined this school is due to my older brother! In fact, I have been thinking of making this move for a while!"
It was a hard decision though. Her previous school was a place with a great reputation, and simply attending it made her look better in the eyes of her family. So there were... two factors that made her finally go with this decision.
The first one really was making the hunt for the vampire more convenient, but the second... Well, Yuta had promised to help destroy her family if need be, so she was less scared of displeasing them. Even if she didn't really know his level of power.
Yuta looked away. "Shiki huh..." It was hard to seduce a brocon, that was for sure. "Speaking of him, where is the guy?" He should have come with Akiha, right? If the two were now attending the same school...
Shiki was also not the type to skip school, even when sick. Usually he came in, felt awful due to his anemia, got scolded, and then got sent home. In fact, Yuta had many memories of scorting him back to the Arimas.
Akiha crossed her arms. "I forbade my brother from leaving the Tohno manor." Oi. "For his own good of course, that... thing is running around the city, and may be targetting him. For extra safety however, I have also restricted Miyako's movements."
What a supreme tyrant!
Yuta sighed. "I... know I shouldn't be telling you how you go about this, but just be aware that Shiki is a rebellious guy. If you tell him to do something, you shouldn't be surprised when he does another."
Specially when Shiki was definitely super curious about this situation. That mysterious vampire had the same eyes as him after all... Though maybe the fact that Shiki had met... Shiki had lowered his curiosity?
Akiha looked away. "Ugh, if that happens I will just discipline him. Brothers who won't listen to their own sisters are worthless."
"Scary." What else was he supposed to say!? Oh yeah... "But also kind of hot. Nice going, Akiha." She could discipline him at anytime... Though he might also turn the tides and give her some correction instead!
Her eye twitched. "Is there anything you don't find exciting!?" Yes, actually.
Many things even!
He just wouldn't list them, in case the universe decided to become spiteful and start exploring his many, many weaknesses.
So he waved her off. "Don't worry about it, just remember that when watermelon is said, you should stop." Safewords were important. "Also, let me introduce to a few people!" He was growing tired of this vampire talk anyway.
It was work! He shouldn't be talking about work during non-work hours...! Even though school was basically a mini-version of work... Where had his free time gone!?
She nodded. "Very well, I shall critically avaliate the friendships you hold." And should they be inadequate, unworthy of her future husband, then she should simply break them off.
Yuta grinned. "Right..." He then motioned to the younger twin. "So this here is Hisui. She's my younger sister... but not really. She's pretty looks super shy, but is actually an extrovert. Be careful around her enchanting gaze!"
"Huh?" That came from both girls.
Akiha because she was confused at Yuta introducing people she already knew, and Hisui because... she had an enchanting gaze!?
Yuta then motioned to Kohaku. "And this my other non-blood related younger, big sister Kohaku. She's like a reverse of Hisui, she may look like an extrovert, but she's not. Also, she too has a enchanting gaze."
Kohaku had no idea what was going on, but nonetheless she smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you! I like violent video games, the more violent the better! Like GTA! Oh, and I also like eroges." Truly a girl of dreams.
And now it was time for the last person in the group. "And this is Ciel, my girlfriend who—."
But Akiha cut him off. "I know who these people are! What are you even doing!?" As usual, when faced with something she couldn't understand, she became frustrated, and then angry.
The mark of a best girl, as Yuta would say.
"You may know them, but now... now you are meeting them as your classmates!" He puffed his chest. "It's a whole new special experience, ya know?"
"Oh, so you were being an idiot. I understand." Ouch. "But I suppose I appreciate any attempts at trying to make me comfortable in this new place..." Welp, as long as he got Akiha points, then he was a happy man.
She bowed towards them. "Please take care of me. I may be driven insane by this man sooner or later." That might have happened already even...
Kohaku gave her a thumbs up. "Of course! Feel free to count on us!"

Satsuki Yumizuka reporting in!
So far, with her amazing investigative efforts she had discovered a grand total of... zero new information! Seriously, learning about the supernatural was way too hard.
Especially when she didn't even exactly know what she was looking for.
"Damn it..." She ended up muttering to herself.
Arihiko pat her back in response. "Something wrong?" He had noticed that she had been acting strange these past few days.
He also had noticed that she was now always looking at Yuta for some reason... Even now, her eyes were glued on the boy and his group of friends. Did she end up developing a crush on the guy after they went out drinking?
That would be troublesome, seeing as he had a girlfriend and all. And especially because Yuta was the type to try out some harem plan, only to backfire spectaculary in his face. Arihiko didn't want Satsuki getting involved in that mess.
She swatted his hand away. "Nothing's wrong." Her face gave away that something was definitely off.
So Arihiko decided to start poking her a bit. "Ya sad that Shiki skipped?" A rare occurance. Normally Arihiko was the one who didn't give a single shit about school.
Satsuki frowned. "A bit..." She was mostly worried.
She knew it was probably just paranoia, but what if Yuta had done something!? Those two tended to hang out, and were old friends so...! Or what if Shiki was also some sort of supernatural nutjob!? T-that would be kind of hot, actually.
Arihiko hummed. "Welp, I'm sure he will be back by tomorrow." Did she still have a crush on the glasses wearing boy? That put a damper on his theory...
He might as well test it...
How should he go about it though? Arihiko was smart enough to understand that straight up asking her wasn't the wisest idea at least. So maybe he should make small hints that—.
Right, as if. He was motherfucking Arihiko Inui. "By the way, why are you eyes glued to Okkotsu? You like him or something?" She clearly was a woman of awful taste. First Tohno and now this.
Satsuki sputtered. "N-no! What made you even think of that!?" She rather die. Probably.
He raised an eyebrow. "Like I said, your eyes are glued to him. And you have been acting like that for a while..." He felt like his suspicions had just been confirmed. She wouldn't explode otherwise.
And considering she still seemed to go soft when Shiki was brought up... Well, it wasn't like people couldn't have two crushes at once. That was like the plot of 99% of every romcom ever made.
Finally, Satsuki moved her eyes away from the boy. "Well...! It's just...!" She shook her head. "It's nothing okay? Just forget about it." This was so embarassing.
She wished he could tell the idiot the truth, but there was no way he was going to believe her without any proof. At least not without his memories of that day making some kind of return. Which probably wouldn't happen, considering so much time had passed since that day.
Arihiko smiled. "Alright... I won't bother you about it anymore..." He definitely would.
Satsuki let out a sigh. "You better not." This crusade was getting tiring already, she did not need Arihiko making things even more frustrating for her.
If only she could... make at least a little bit of progress! She would be happy even with just a little bit! She would also be happy if she had some sort of ally...
And then suddenly, a new idea popped in her head. "Hey Arihiko, I have something I want to ask you."
"I'm all ears. Since I have been bullying you and all." Was she gonna ask about Yuta's past? Arihiko knew a little bit about it, but Shiki would have been a better candidate. Even if approaching him was scary for the girl.
Satsuki nodded. "Good... So I need you to help me pursue Okkotsu on his way back home. Without him noticing of course." Her plan was genius, but also very risky.
She knew of course that Yuta was her best source of information, but she had just been too scared of taking this approach. Maybe with Arihiko at her side however, she could succeed! Or she could throw him under the bus it they got caught.
Arihiko snorted at her plan. "Geez, have some dignity!" Yep, she went crazy...
In Arihiko's experience things like that always happened with supposed good girls, so he wasn't too surprised.
She glared at him. "What are you talking about now? Wipe that lecherous grin off your face, please." He really was the worst.
Her usual tactic of just smiling and hoping things would work out never affected the redhead. She supposed that was just the power of a shamelessly delinquent, which meant she had to be very direct with him.
Still, he quickly apologized. "Sorry, but how else am I supposed to react when you say something that ridiculous after saying you don't like him? You are aware of what's coming out of your mouth, aren't you?"
It took sometime for her brain to connect the dots... once it did, she sputtered. Again. "Ugh, just drop it, okay!?" She should have expected this, shouldn't she?
It's not like Arihiko knew she was just trying to lead him into learning of the existence of the supernatural, so the blame for his words weren't on him. For once she woulr have to accept that... In fact, she was lucky he was weird enough to not call her a creep.
And now Arihiko was laughing at her. "Ya know, if you want to learn about the guy, you can always ask me instead of becoming a stalker." Huh? "I used to play with him and a friend of his when we were kids."
Now... that was interesting. Arihiko definitely didn't know anything about the supernatural, but she could use any and all information at this point.
So she pursued the only trail she had. "Okay then, spill it."
He chuckled. "Right... So back when we were brats, Okkotsu was... still pretty similar to what he is today. A guy who always looks gloomy, but is actually a jokester. Though I guess back then the gloomy part was a lot less prominent."
It was hard to look gloomy. And Arihiko... well, he had an idea of what made Okkotsu become so gloomy at first glance. And he didn't blame him for it.
A sigh left his mouth just by thinking about it. "And he was pretty close with a little girl... her name was Rika Orimoto."
Satsuki's eyes widened. She recognized the name Rika... it's how that giant monster had introduced itself! Which while it could be a coincidence, she highly doubted it! So maybe Arihiko was actually giving her some important information!
Arihiko continued. "Honestly, she was a little jerk who went around bullying everybody, but... her bullying days ended. She lost her life in a car accident or something." It was fucked up. It went without saying that he wished that had never happened.
But that was in the past. The past of a long time ago... "Which means Okkotsu has a heart in need of healing. Go for it, Satsuki!" He would be cheering on her!
Satsuki scowled. "If that's the case, then that girlfriend of his has already healed." The vampire. "Oh yeah, he has a girlfriend just in case you forgot. So please let this little romance theory of yours die already."
Leaving Arihiko aside though, this information about Rika was interesting... Could it be that instead of her dying, that was a cover-up for Okkotsu turning her into a weird monster with magic? Or were they really different Rika's?
It was something she would definitely be keeping in mind at least. She could... google her name, maybe, to try and find out something.
Arihiko snorted. "Why should that stop you?" This guy really is trash...
Before she could respond however, a voice interjected.
"Hey guys, could I be a bother for a second?" Yuta Okkotsu, the sorce of her fears.
Who was now causing Arihiko to grin from ear to ear. "Yeah, sude man. Lunchbreak is about to end, but we got the time." His head was definitely running with ideas Satsuki would not appreciated.
But she couldn't make her displeasure known, so she just smiled instead. If Yuta realized she was onto his schemes, he would mess with her mind again... or do something worse.
"Great then! I need to introduce you two to someone." He motioned to a pretty girl.
She was pretty young. Maybe even two years younger than them. So she definitely was not on their class. Satsuki also didn't have any memories of ever seeing them before...
The girl bowed, she gave off an incredible aura of politeness... and authority. "Hello, I'm Akiha Tohno. I'm told you two are friends of my bolder brother...?" Wait a minute!? She was Shiki's younger sister!?
Satsuki didn't see it. They seriously didn't look much similar to each other...
Arihiko. "Yeah, it's nice to mee—."
Akiha cut him off. "According to Yuta, you are a worthless delinquent who will either become homeless and die alone, or become part of a gang and die in a fight with the police." She didn't hold back words, that was for sure.
Arihiko flinched. "That's..." He glared at Yuta. "Hey!"
Yuta looked away. "Sorry, I could not lie to her. I'm sure in another life you two will get along." He had poisoned the well, but it couldn't be helped. Akiha would have sniffed out any signs of delinquency anyway.
Akiha smiled. "It might even be in this life if he gets his act together... However." She glared at the delinquent. "If you do not, then you shall regret it. Here's some advice, stop associating with my brother."
Arihiko was smart enough not to argue. "Sure..." He could only awkwardly chuckle. He had heard before that she was terrifying, but even he wasn't expecting this...!
At least Shiki could be happy with the fact that Arihiko would never go after his precious little sister... Now he just had to remove Yuta from this world and a happy ending was achievable.
And now it was time for Akiha to lay down judgement on her next victim.
She looked at Satsuki, who was already flinching. "Yuta has said you are a very sweet girl." Eh? She wasn't gonna be destroyed and killed? "But make sure to keep this in mind. Be too sweet and I will end you." Where did that come from!?
Yuta scratched his cheek and muttered to himself. "Sorry Shiki..." He had spoken well of Satsuki for his bro. After all, Akiha was basically her aunt! Even if neither of them knew such dark details!
But in the end that might have just made Akiha jealous.
Satsuki hesitantly nodded. "Okay...? But I do need to ask you something." This was her chance! "Um... Why did you brother not come to class today?"
Akiha immediately looked away. "He's sick." She didn't hesitate to answer, so if Satsuki was not looking for suspicious things, she would have ignored this...
But she could see that she was lying. Something else had happened to Shiki. Maybe it was unrelated to Yuta, or maybe not, but either way he was definitely not sick.
Maybe... instead of stalking Yuta, she should stalk Akiha...?
