Fire Emblem Protagonist 18

"Yae, mineself will rest for as long as I please. Do not bother to wake me up."

Priscilla looked visibly exhausted, they all did really. Which is why instead of heading straight back to the capital, they had decided to go to the Barielle mansion, since it was closer. They would rest in it for a night or two before continuing their journey.

The maid bowed. "O-of course Lady Priscilla, your room is already prepared..." She looked at their companions. "So, I assume the plague has been quelled?" She was clearly nervous.

And she couldn't be blamed for it. While Yae was usually very easy-going, right now she was standing close to some of the most important people in the world.

Priscilla waved her off. "We did somewhat, but we shall let mine servants handle the rest."

They had destroyed the queen, and Felix was pretty sure the problem had been the village's water supply. Now that the mystery had been solved, Priscilla no longer needed to get personally involved in this.

The baroness continued. "Oh, but we did slay the Arcbishop of Sloth." She grinned. "I am looking forward to receiving my accolades from it." It would certainly be a boost to her campaign.

Well, Emilia and Crusch had helped, but the fight had happened in Priscilla's domain, so she would definitely get most of the credit...

As for Heitor, he was just hoping he would get some amount of gold from it. Though he wouldn't be exactly surprised if he gained literally zero credit... at the end of things, he was just a servant of the Barielle, after all. His contribution counted as Priscilla's contribution.

Yae's jaw hit the floor. "What?" It must have seemed like crazy talk to the ninja.

The Witch Cult didn't really lose. Ever. Even in their biggest defeats they just ran away. And those defeats were typically caused by a expedition that was carefully planned by a group of knights, not by just random luck.

Priscilla giggled. "Now, now, don't be so surprised. The world does work in my favor after all."

Yae ignored her and looked at Heitor, as if seeking confirmation for Priscilla's bullshit.

He scratched his cheek. "It was a tough fight, but we killed him." Permanently.

The next person the maid looked at was Julius. Since he had come here to gather carriages for the villagers, the two must have met already.

The Finest Knight bowed. "As my comrade has said, it was a tough fight, but the day was won. The Archbishop of Sloth has been slaid... Lugunica has been freed from his grasp." He sounded extremely satisfied.

Probably because not only would the Anastasia camp receive some credit from this, but Julius himself would have his career boosted by a tremendous amount. Though he was already crazy famous before this little adventure too...

"That's... insane." Even after that, the maid still had problem believing it.

They really achieved sometimes amazing, didn't they?

Priscilla scowled. "Yae stop gawking. I want to go to sleep already." She shifted her gaze with Heitor. "And you shall follow me piggy. Tonight I shall share a bed with both you and Schult."

Emilia gasped. "L-Lady Priscilla, you can't...!" This was a woman who knew what sex was! It seems she was no longer fine with Priscilla sleeping with him.

Julius cleared his throat. "I must agree...!" As a chivalrous knight, this must have sounded horrifying to him.

But Heitor quickly shot those ideas down. "Don't worry, there's nothing perverted going on. Lady Priscilla just likes to use me as a cuddle pillow... for some reason."

She huffed. "Isn't it obvious? You bring me comfort. That's all that is needed." That was embarrassing to hear...

Crusch tilted her head. "Well, I wouldn't want to... impose on the relationships of others, but it certainly seems that is true."

Felix tilted his head, an awkward grin on his face. "Geez, that's kind of weird..." But beneath his judging eyes Heitor could spot jealousy. He didn't blame him, Priscilla was... huge.

Though maybe it wasn't Priscilla the Blue wanted to share a bed with, considering he was sending a longing gaze towards the duchess. Some people really didn't know their station in life huh?

Well, Heitor did. Which is why at this point he taking this fairly well. "By the way Lady Priscilla, need I remind you that Schult is still in the capital?" Which was actually kind of bad.

Heitor didn't want to share a room with Priscilla... If the S-Rank triggered... Then again, considering usually a player would only be able to S-Rank one woman, maybe this time the system would actually ask him? That sounded nice.

Priscilla's eyes widened for a moment. "Oh, mineself did forget..." She really was absolutely tired. "Perhaps we should have headed straight for the capital..." All for one kid!?

Emilia raised a hand. "I-if you need someone extra to sleep with you, please pick me, Lady Priscilla!" A rare gay support!?

Priscilla raised an eyebrow, but at the same time, her smug levels shot to the roof. "Um? You may, but only if you sleep in the ground like a good little pathetic doggy."

Emilia nodded. "Okay!"

Heitor snapped. "Not okay! Why are you accepting this!?"

Emilia put her hands on her hips. "Because I have to make su~re nothing... untowards happens." Learning about sex made her some kind of chastity monster!?

He could only hope people didn't spread this around. It would tank Emilia's chances at the Selection far more than being a half-elf already did!

He slowly raised himself from the bed, and muttered to himself. "Everyone is still sleeping huh..." That didn't surprise him too much.

Priscilla was a normal sleeper, and Emilia, who was sleeping on a mattress in the ground because of course she was, was a heavy sleeper.

Heitor carefully left the room, trying his best to not wake them up. He didn't know when Priscilla would decide to return to the capital, so for now he would go to his normal duty as a servant. He actually kind of missed it, seeing as his life had been fight after fight recently.

As soon as he left the room, he came face to face with Yae. "Good morning." He waved at her, keeping his voice low.

He had missed the maid. When he had just arrived at this world, he had considered her his only friend for a decent amount of time after all.

The maid jumped a bit at his sudden appearance. "Good morning. You're up early..."

Heitor shrugged. "I'm not as tired as everyone else." Mostly because he wasn't really a warrior that relied on mana. "Anyways, what' your up to?"

She sighed. "Just going to wake Lady Priscilla up... Though I'm guessing you already did it?"

He shook his head. "Nah, I let her sleep... You should too to be honest. Waking her up right now would be like poking a lion." A lion that could burn souls.

The maid chuckled. "I guess she did say I should let her sleep as much as she wanted yesterday... Please don't make lion jokes though, I'm gonna have to wake up Lady Crusch, and considering the rumors I have heard... I might not survive."

Now it was his turn to chuckle. "It will be fine, trust me. She is fierce for sure, but nothing like Priscilla."

They began walking away from the room, walking side-by-side. "If you say so... but maybe I can ask you to handle it, if it's not too much of a big deal, mister hero?"

He gave her a thumbs up. "I don't mind." She was still his superior at the end of the day.

A teasing expression rose up on her face. "Hmmm? Not gonna deny the hero comment?"

But he just grinned. "Of course not, I did kill Sloth. Besides, I'm sure I won't be getting much credit for what I did, so I'll take what I can get." He had taken his first steps towards being a true Fire Emblem protagonist!

She raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think they won't give you any credit? They might even knight you, you know?"

He sputtered. "Seriously!? Can that even happen!?" He felt lucky the had already walked pretty fair away from Priscilla's room, because that little outburst would have definitely woken her up.

Yae nodded. "Of course, occasionally a commoner will get knighted for achieving great deeds in a war... You fought no war, but leading the charge against Sloth, and actually killing him is a far greater achievement than driving off a small Vollachian squad or whatever."

Heitor crossed his arms. "Do you really think they'll acknowledge me as the person who led the team though?"

Yae rolled her eyes. "Of course they will. Not only because Lady Priscilla is too prideful to take all the credit... but also because tying up a monster like you to the kingdom is a opportunity too great to pass up."

Oh. Heitor hadn't really thought about that angle. If he became a knight of Lugunica, he would forever be tied to the country of Lugunica. And a knight wandering into somewhere like Vollachia could be seen as a declaration of war without the proper permit.

He would become a property of the Kingdom of the Dragon.

Yae pat his shoulder. "I might be wrong though! Who knows! Just... make sure to put a lot of thought on it, since they will probably give you the opportunity to reject it."

"I will." If such a opportunity was given to him, it would be quite literally game changing.

A big smile appeared on her face. "And you will probably get a cool title after doing such deeds too! Get ready for the bards to sing of the Diligent Sword! The man who took down the Archbishop of Sloth!"

"I'd better get a cooler sounding nickname than Diligent Sword...!"

"Lady Crusch, are you awake...?" Heitor lightly knocked on the door of her room.

Upon hearing no response, he slowly opened it and then entered. He could already have made a ton of noise and opened the curtains to wake her up, and he imagine that would be how Yae approached things, but he wanted to be nicer.

Crusch had worked hard these past few days, she deserved a more... gentle approach. Also, he was scared of the consequences that making her mad would have.

So he put a hand on her shoulder and lightly shook her. "Lady Crusch...?" Since she didn't do anything at first, he thought about giving up.

Priscilla was still asleep after all, and so was Emilia, so what was the problem with giving the duchess some extra rest...? But then again, she was probably the type who liked to wake up early in the morning no matter what.

This time, Crusch slowly opened her eyes. "Father...?" And made a embarrassing comment.

You have triggered a Support Event.

Ah, so it was one of those. He had fought tons and tons by her side during the Petelgeuse battle, so he wasn't shocked at all.

He awkwardly smiled. "No, it's me, Heitor, Lady Crush." She probably just made that comment because she was sleepy. Like a kid calling their teacher dad or mom... It was cute.

Crusch sat up, sputtering. "O-oh, my apologies! It's just that your figure reminded me of him and—."

He wasn't paying attention to a goddamned thing she was saying. Naturally when she sat up, her blanked did not follow her and Crusch... apparently slept wearing only underwear.

She was surprisingly big! The gap moe of it almost made it a challenge for Priscilla's own pair!

Heitor covered his eyes. "Lady Crusch, I'm sorry." And apologized while completely ignoring her mumbling.

She tilted her head. "No, it is who..." And then she slowly looked down, realizing what had happened.

She shrieked, with a surprisingly girly sound. "P-please give me a moment!"

Heitor trying to be a gentleman, stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him. And from that room, he could hear the sound of Crusch quickly putting on her clothing. Or at least the clothing Priscilla had provided.

"I'm done!" Crusch's voice left the room.

Once again, Heitor opened the door. He bowed to the duchess. "My greatest of apologies Lady Crusch..." He had seen things not meant for his eyes!

Seriously, much like the situation with Emilia, it could get him into trouble...! No, it was even worse. Emilia was running for the throne, but she wasn't true nobility. Crusch was a duchess before the dragon shenanigans ever came into play!

There was a blush on her face as she faked a cough. "N-no need to apologize. May I ask just what you wanted however?"

He looked away. "Just to wake up you up, Lady Crusch." To think such a simple thing turned into this...

Was every Crusch related Support turn into some kind of humiliation event!? He didn't think his heart, or his mind, would make it through that!

"I-I see..." She looked down. "Well, as an exchange for me forgetting this... mistake, may I ask that your forget when I called you father?" That's what she had focused on!?

He nodded without hesitation. "I already forgot, don't worry." He wouldn't be able to forget a single thing that had happened in that room.

She scowled. "Heitor..." Right, lie detector.

It made talking with her way too difficult. "Sorry, there's no way I can forget something so cute." And he wasn't just talking about her big tits. Though he wouldn't be forgetting those either.

Maybe Priscilla was right to call him a swine.

She pouted. "There was nothing cute about that, it was..." She looked away. "Humiliating."

He chuckled. "I wouldn't go that far. Don't worry, we might still be political rivals, but I won't be spreading tales around of how the Valkyrie of Steel calls for her papa when she wakes up." Was he perhaps getting too comfortable with her?

Heitor had fought by her side, so he saw that as natural, but perhaps it wasn't a good way for a possible future knight to act. Especially since there was a chance, albeit small, that he would one day call her king.

Crusch frowned. "Do... do you see me as lesser because of this, Heitor?" Oh shit.

He had a feeling that while he had been taking all of this in a joking manner, that was certainly not the case for her.

Well, at least her lie detection would work in his advantage right now. "Of course not Lady Crusch. You're just as amazing as ever." Way too amazing even, seeing as she constantly stole his kills.

A light smile appeared on her face. "I... thank you. For a moment I was scared that..." She sighed. "The truth is that showing traits like that can get me in quite a bit of trouble."

She put a hand to her chin. "It's frustrating to admit, but as the Lady of Karsten, I cannot show any weakness... No, it's more like I decided that to become the Lady of Karsten, I must not show any weakness."

She continued. "Lest I start once again receiving letters on how my place is in a ballroom and not the battlefield."

His eyes widened. "Wait, people said stuff like that to you!?" It sounded crazy to him, but he supposed sexism existed whenever one went, as sad as that was.

She nodded. "Of course, I am a lady... and not just a lady, a noble lady... Ever since I picked a sword, there has been an uproar at my manner of conduct. But worry not, those comments do not bother me as they once used to..."

She looked down, a blush on her face. "However, sometimes... and this is embarrassing to say... I do wish I could act a bit more girly without someone showing I'm finally showing my true side..." Now this... this was gap moe.

She shook her head. "No, forget what I just said." She wanted him to forget more stuff!? He didn't have perfect control like that!

But jokes aside, Heitor completely understood her. "I get ya, don't worry."

Crusch had essentially stuck herself as a the picture perfect warrior to not receive any criticism. And although that was mostly fine with her, occasionally she would naturally get interesting in more... womanly things. It just that pursuing those things meant breaking that which she had built.

What a pain.

He hummed. "Both the Crusch who wields a sword with fine skill, and the Crusch who calls her for her papa are the real Crusch. And so both are amazing." And also cute!

She chuckled. "That's certainly good to hear. Though I do believe calling for my father might be too much even for the more... femine Crusch."

He chuckled back. "It was really funny." And ignored her blushing face. "You two must be quite close."

She nodded. "We certainly are. Father trusts me enough to let me lead our lands at a very young age after all. And to not throw marriage proposals at my face like his advisors suggest."

Heitor tilted his head. "Marriage huh...? Do you have any interest on it?" He asked more because this was a Support conversation than anything else.

It was good to push for more knowledge, right?

But Crusch saw it as a opportunity to get back at him. "Hmmm...? Are you showing interest?"

He raised a hand. "Nah, not really. Just curious." In fact, any conversation about marriage seemed a bit scary right now, with the horror movie monster named Priscilla Barielle possibly after him.

It looked as if Crusch had been struck. "Hah... talking with you is always an avalanche of emotions." That was good, right? "But about marriage... I suppose it would be exciting to one day walk the aisle."

She continued. "If I find the right companion of course... though even if I don't, as a duchess... and as a king, I will have to leave heirs behind." That was true.

At the end of things, it would part of her responsibilities some day.

She flinched. "But perhaps I already had found the right companion, and..." She took a deep breath. "Nevermind. Let us start our day, Heitor."

"Right, of course." He felt pushing things farther right now wouldn't be good. He learned his lesson with Emilia.

Support Event over. Crusch's B-Rank Support Achieved!
