Son Of Lucifer 15

He felt strange.

He had no arms, no legs, his whole body was different from what he was used to. And yet, at the same time he knew all of those old things could still be reached at anytime he desired. It was like he had simply switched bodies.

Well, that was probably what had happened.

"Congratulations Young Master, you have become a demon." Satan looked strangely smug.

It made Fuyuki mad, since he was a bit lost and could really use some help. "Right. So what the hell am I, right now?" Even his voice sounded strange.

With this new strange body Fuyuki felt like he shouldn't even have a voice in the first place, but somehow he had managed to speak. Was that due to his old body transferring traits to this new one? Or was that due to him being a demon?

"What you are...? There is no animal specials that is exactly like you, Young Master, but right now you look like a snake of some sort." Ah, that explained his smugness.

How annoying.

"Ugh, I was hoping for something a little more... intimidating." A dragon form or something!

Satan chuckled. "How unusually childish of you. Leave the gigantic battle forms for when you are actually waging wars, for now a more compact form has way more uses."

That was sort of true. If danger unexpectedly came around the corner for example, running away as a little snake would be easier than making an escape as a minotaur.

Still, it was kind of lame, right!? It was a lame form! As Satan had said, it was childish of him, but he wanted to become a Balrog or something! Not a exotic pet!

"Whatever, just teach me how to get back to my human form." He missed his... everything.

"Are you sure about that Young Master? Do you not wish to become more used to that form first?" Not a bad idea.

Fuyuki didn't feel like he would have a lot of trouble moving around as a demon snake, the body felt instinctually right, but... instinct could only do so much. Before going around with this body he should definitely training.

However, that was the least of his concerns right now. "I have school today, not to mention my meeting with Kana Arima. Also, if one of my parents sees me like this they might call someone to get rid of me." He did not want to get sent to a zoo.

Now that would be a embarrassing end to the prince of hell. "Not to mention how I don't really know what happened to my rings, so I'm feeling pretty vulnerable right now."

They were his greatest tool, even if they were supposedly whatever items. And they were now also gone, because he had no fucking arms.

"Worry not, your human body exists at the same time your snake body does, and the two are connected. So, you are still wearing your rings." So right now he was a snake that could tank getting stabbed?

That was kind of rad.

This new information had its own set of issues though. "Does that also mean I will always be weak to any anti-snake attacks? If those hypothetically existed...?"

"..." His silence spoke volumes.

So that was another weakness of being a demon. As he ascended and gained more forms, he would obtain more powers, but he would also obtain more explorable weaknesses. It was almost funny, one would typically think the reverse would happen.

Fuyuki sighed. "Just teach me how to leave this form already."

"There isn't much to teach. You must simply will yourself into changing." That was both worrying and calming.

On one hand, it meant that this probably wouldn't take long. On the other hand, it also meant that if he failed for some reason, he would have no idea how to fix the issue.

Thankfully the latter did not happen. Now that he knew he could do it, he changed from a snake into a human with the ease of someone breathing. Fuyuki also learned that the clothes that he had been wearing had not been destroyed or lost, simply reappearing with his body.

That was strange, but certainly convenient. Changing forms wouldn't mean suddenly being naked.

He clenched his right fist, almost as if trying to confirm he back to being human... or at least human shaped. "Woah, I feel... healthy." There was no other way to put it.

Yesterday he had a fever, so the contrast from going to that, to being so... energized felt quite strange.

"That is to be expected Young Master. You are a demon right now, after all." He glanced at Fuyuki's fingers. "To be honest, you do not even need that defensive ring you seem to hold so much affected for anymore."

"Huh, I guess you're right." That was a weird realization to have. "How tough am I, right now?"

"I cannot say. That said, even the weakest of demons can withstand gunfire from small firearms." So in essence he was a monster, at least as long as he didn't try to challenge the military or something.

"That's... neat." And there was also his new power to think about, whatever that was.

Strangely enough however, his thoughts were still stuck on the ring. Now that he did not need it anymore, he could perhaps give it to someone else. That could be a powerful card if used correctly.

But it seems the same did not apply to his mentor. "So Young Master, are you going to try out your power or not?"

Fuyuki squinted his eyes. "Should I? What if my powers cause explosions and I destroy this entire house?" Or even himself?

Demon powers truly were insane if they could even cause something stupid like Puberty Syndrome, but on the same vein they were also immensely dangerous to their surroundings. If he wanted to make experiments with his own, then he should make a trip to the mountains first.

At least that was what was on his mind, but his mentor alleviated his concerns. "It should be fine. The first power a demon awakens rarely is something that will be uncontrollable. It tends to be something easy to control, so must demons rely it on a lot."

"Seriously? That's nice, but why?"

"Because demons too are a species, just like humans. That is to say, we evolved throughout the eras to not die like idiots." Amazing.

But that did make sense. Fuyuki imagined that if demons went around killing themselves with their own powers frequently, they wouldn't be around anymore in the first place.

Satan continued. "So just call upon your power. More complicated usages of it will require training, but the beginning parts should be as easy as changing forms."

Fuyuki did as instructed, snapping his own fingers for dramatic flair and...!

A small ball, seemingly made out of a purple liquid left his body, more specifically through his teeth, it was around the size of a tennis ball, and it floated close to his face. Fuyuki felt like he could control it, but that was kind of all he knew about it.

He also definitely knew it was poison related. "I guess I am indeed a snake... poison powers, huh?" Well, if he was a Ekans he would rather have Toxic than Wrap.

"Hm? So you instinctually know it's poison?"

Fuyuki waved him off. "Not really, but I mean... it's purple."

"And that is supposed to mean something...?" Satan really could be clueless about the most basic of things...

"Forget about it. It doesn't matter right now anyways." With thought alone he made the liquid return to his body, and just like how it had emerged, it entered through his teeth.

Now he just had to figure out what the poison did in the first place, and how it was supposed to be applied on someone. Hopefully skin contact would be enough for something to happen.

It did leave him wondering though. "By the way Satan, what would you say the sin of my power is?"

His mentor hummed for a while, thinking through the question. "It's hard to say until we actually see the effects of it, but I imagine it's pride. Forcing your will on someone is certainly a sign of it."

He continued. "For curiosity sake I will later conduct a test on you and actually verify what it is. If it truly is pride then... well, that would be certainly nice." Oh? Did Pride have some sort of advantage?

"I'll be waiting them." But for now he would just go to school, he had a big day ahead of him.

Although... while he had tested the basics of his transformation, there was something he didn't even see a glimpse of, mostly due to a lack of opportunity. His Angel/Demon Charisma...

Hopefully it wouldn't be something that would affect his plans too much.

A limousine of all things stopped right to his side while walked to school.

It was a... unusual sight, so it did give Fuyuki some pause, especially as he was currently feeling very paranoid, but after a moment he just kept walking. A car stopping near him meant nothing.

"Wait a moment, kid." But a man in shades leaving that limousine and pointing at him was much more worrisome.

"You need something, sir?" Fuyuki tried keeping his cool, but his body had definitely become tense.

Satan was right by his side though, and the man wasn't paying him any attention. Was that deliberate, or was the guy a normie? Because if it was the latter... now that Fuyuki was a demon, could he hide himself from him?

That was... a interesting idea, though one he would keep on his pocket for now. Mostly because he didn't know how to do it.

The man motioned to the car. "Enter. The lady wants to talk with ya."

Fuyuki raised an eyebrow. "Um... no?" As if he would go along with that! He was the one who did the kidnapping around these parts!

The man clicked his tongue. "Look kid, this ain't just any lady, it's—"

"Shut it incompetent." That lady he was talking about left the limousine, clearly very frustrated. She was also mumbling to herself. "Ruining my introduction..." But Fuyuki didn't care much about that.

What he cared about was her appearance.

First of all, she was pretty. Not Mai pretty however, more Iroha pretty, which was still something amazing, but also something he had gotten used to at this point.

What actually made him surprised about her appearance was her clothing... and her make-up... and her hair... and her red-eyes that might be contacts... This lady looked like a vampire!

And much like her supposed servant, she was paying Satan no mind!

But if she wasn't a demon, then why the hell did she look like that!? Chuunibyou!?

She cleared her throat. "Hello, allow me to introduce myself..." The second thing he noticed about her was her accent.

Her strange, very fake sounding accent. Like someone trying to sound European for some dumbass reason. This girl definitely had chuunibyou, didn't she!?

"I am Celestia Ludenberg, the Ultimate Gambler." There was no way that was her real name.

Also...

"You're an ultimate!?" The hell!? Had Kirigiri sent someone after him!?

She nodded. "Yes, a first year." And then she began waiting.

Fuyuki guessed it was his cue. "I see, n-nice to meet you. I'm Fuyuki Fujiwara, a... normal second year." And also a demon as of today. One that really shouldn't be scared of a chuuni brat.

Hell, for all he knew she wasn't even an Ultimate... Though she did show up on a limousine. Besides, Ultimates were known to be eccentric individuals, the Ultimate Detective being no exception.

He continued. "So, what do you need, Miss Ludenberg?" Fuyuki decided to be as polite as possible.

For all he knew Kirigiri was using this Ultimate as a testing poke of some sort. She had to be involved in some way, because no Ultimate would just decided to greet some random walking in the street.

Celestia grinned... it looked awkward as hell. "It is not that I need something, but that you need something." And she herself seemed to notice that awkward grin of hers.

As one would expect from the Ultimate Gambler she quickly fixed her expression and went back to looking normal. At least as normal as someone that looked so strange could manage. It was impressive, but the fact that she had made a mistake in the first place was strange.

Fuyuki tilted his head. "What do you mean?" He wanted to get right into the point.

Honestly, he almost thought about mentioning how he was going to be late if this kept up, so he could use it as an excuse to run away, but... Ultimates were basically celebrities, so he decided that faking at least some level of awe was necessary.

"I mean that I am offering you something." Oh? "Currently I am in need of a new butler, and I have decided that you deserve the prestigious job." And suddenly his interest turned into confusion.

From where did this come from. "I... don't really have any experience being a butler, Miss Ludenberg." What kind of Ojou-Sama existence did she live in? This was stupid.

And even if he did have the skills to be a butler... He was the fucking son of Lucifer damn it! He had better shit to do!

Well, he hadn't actually done anything too impressive with his title yet, but he shouldn't lower himself! He was willing to bet all his money on the idea of demons having their little gossip groups that would love the idea of shaming a upcoming king for his job as a butler.

"Worry not, you will be trained of course." He supposed that was kind of expected from a job.

But still... this felt like way too much.

From where had it come from. "Okay...? But why did you decide to suddenly offer me this?" Was this Kirigiri's super convoluted way of keeping an eye on him?

Maybe she thought it was so absurd it would work? Even Ultimates could have times where they just decided to throw shit at a wall until something sticked.

Celestia shrugged. "You simply seemed like a good fit for it. You could say you won the lottery." She giggled at her own words...

The Ultimate Gambler sure was something.

"That is... nice to hear." Was it? "But I think I'll have to pass Miss Ludenberg, I'm pretty content with just going to school and having the rest of my day as free time." He finally rejected her.

He did not know what was going here, if Celestia was Kirigiri's tool or not, but... he wouldn't willingly throw himself into the lion's mouth. And thankfully he had a good excuse to reject her offer.

Her eye twitched. "Is that so?" Anger was creeping in her tone, clearly she was too prideful to be told no.

Her poker face really was awful for a so-called Ultimate Gambler, but if nothing else she quickly fixed herself once again, returning to a neutral expression as if nothing had ever happened.

She looked at her servant, and extended a open hand. "Oh well, I suppose then that's that." Even if she stopped her limousine for him, she wouldn't go as far as begging.

Her servant took out a business card, and gave it to her. She then gave it to Fuyuki. "Here, take this and call in case you ever change your mind."

He hesitantly took it. "I'll put a lot of thought behind it—"

Suddenly her face was really close to his. "Thought can be the enemy of fortune when wielded incorrectly. Too much thought leads to hesitation, and hesitation sometimes breeds fools who received a smile from Fortuna herself and yet did nothing about it."

"What I am gracefully trying to tell you, Fuyuki Fujiwara is..." She moved far away, a very slight blush on her face. "Fortune favors the bold. Do not keep me waiting."

"Right..."

After that very awkward talk she returned back to her limousine, together with her servant, and continued onto whatever place she was going to, presumably Hope's Peak.

Fuyuki meanwhile, was left dumbstruck. "The hell was that?" Kirigiri sure had gone with a... unorthodox plan.

Satan chuckled. "That is your popular phase starting Young Man!" Of all the things he knew about, that stupid phrase was one of them!? "Mayhaps you won't even need to kidnap girls anymore, with sophisticated women such as her throwing themselves at your feet."

Fuyuki snorted. "Hah, that fake definition isn't sophisticated!" Chuuni bastard.

But... Satan had been right, hadn't he? Celestia did seem to have a lot of stock into him for some reason, and considering that blush at the end... Well, a blush could mean hundreds of things, but it sure was interesting nonetheless.

And then it finally stuck him.

"This whole debacle was because of my newfound charisma, wasn't it?" Maybe Kirigiri had nothing to do with it.

Celestia's attention had simply been drawn because that's what Fuyuki's existence did to people like her. And because she was clearly... eccentric, she had actually tried confronting him about it.

"Indeed Young Master. Judging by how she was was drawn to you to such a extent, I imagine she either is very weak willed..." Unlikely for a Ultimate. "Or a bad person." Which would meant getting hit by his much stronger Angelic Charisma.

Maybe that's why her face kept showing emotion and she had to constantly restrain herself. Even the Ultimate Gambler had human limits, and she had just faced a inhuman thing.

Seeing that... made Fuyuki feel like his world had just massively expanded. He was already cheating before with all the tools Satan had given him, but now he had ascended to a new level of bullshit. He had become the bullshit!

So far being a demon was pretty cool.
