September Poll Winner(s?) + Updates

The September poll concluded and GoGo won! ..but I noticed she and Helen were pretty much tied during each round, so I thought "why not draw both?"

I'll try and finish Go Go (plus Honey Lemon) first since she won, but I'll follow it up with an Elastigirl pinup too. Honestly I kinda just wanted to draw her, lol.

I also wanted to give a quick update on some things;

Thanks for your continued support, everyone! 💀👍✨

Yeah, it's a pain. I've tried to erase those lines with a rubber eraser in the past but I've found sometimes that it ends up ruining the ink I have on the paper so I can't really do anything about it. I guess removing it digitally is the only real way to deal with things like that.

Leftover pencil lines can be a big problem. Sometimes even after using the Levels menu, I'll still have to go over the lines and clean them up with the eraser tool.

That would help out a lot. I appreciate the quick answer though, thank you! I always tried adjusting my physical art in post but could never fix things like sketch lines and fuzziness.

Those are some good suggestions. I might add some bits about paper and scanning to the supplies post. I can give you a quick answer now though. Paper; I use Bristol paper for ink stuff. Strathmore brand, smooth texture (just because it's cheap, there's plenty of good brands). Scanning; I scan in black and white, around 600 dpi, then use the "Levels" menu in photoshop. I adjust the sliders in the menu and make the image as black and white as possible, usually until the lines become aliased (pixelated). At a high enough resolution this still looks smooth.

Sounds good, thanks for the update on the Mob post! Forgive me for asking about it again, I'm fine with being patient for however long it would take, I just wanted to check on the status. And good to know the site went back up! I'll try and look through it to make some more proper decisions on ink supplies. As far as some other questions regarding Inktober, is there any chance you have some recommendations on the type of paper you prefer to use? As well as the potential to share your process of properly scanning your ink drawings so they look as great as they do when you post them online? The latter in particular is something I always struggled with. Appreciate your feedback.

About the supplies post, Tumblr recently restored my account so it's back up: https://mikeluckas.tumblr.com/pens I don't plan to continue using tumblr though, so I may update and rehost the supply post on my website. I'll be sure to mention it if/when I do.

About the Mob post, I have it queued up for tomorrow afternoon! Sorry it took a while to get back to it. I don't plan to share the PSD for that one. The layers and stuff are a disorganized mess.

Cool, sounds good! If you don't mind me asking though, I recall you mentioning something about going through things like inking supplies you like to use and techniques and stuff ever since Tumblr shut your site down. Are you still open to going over the details on some of that stuff sometime during Inktober? I always wanted to give Inktober a go myself. I also assume it's going to take up a ton of your time next month, but afterwards if you're still open to going through the process of the Mob Psycho print, and maybe throwing in the PSD for that as well, that would still be really helpful to me on my end. Keep up all the good work!
