People have been saying that we need more muscle growth stuff around these parts, and I agree. The trouble is it's a little tricky to do in 3D. It's easy to make a character buff using something like a multires modifier, but that doesn't play well with shapekeys, which are needed to change the shape of a model. Basically, growing is hard to pull off.
This however, uses some shapekeys and multires modifier from which we make a normal map. We sculpt the "big picture" shape of the yoked model, then we bring in multires to sculpt the fine details, then bake that to a normal map.
BASICALLY, if we combine the shapekeys with animating the strength of the normal map, we get this effect. I think it's ok. Needs a bit more work. Let me know what you think! After this, we move on to mastering CHUBBY technology.
