[New Files!] The miniature Y-Wing has been added to the October Specialist rewards!

Alright guys this is a fun one! The other day I saw a 3d print incorporating a tea light candle to act as thrusters and I wondered how it could be applied to Star Wars, this is what I decided on!

The Y-Wing comes in 2 default scales: 1:48 scale to match the LA-AT from earlier and "Tea Light" scale that will fit 2-37mm tea lights!

The Tea Light version is considerably bigger than the 1:48 scale so keep that in mind. I was able to print out both versions on my Bambu X1 without splitting anything up at least!

Hope you all enjoy! I've got much more planned for this month and without spoiling too much - file releases are about to get much more amazing!

Does anyone have any tips on how to print the turbine frames on Bambulab X1C? I'm struggling to get them to print.

Dan Sheridan

I printed this but I not need to find a way to mount it on the wall or hang from the ceiling. Any ideas?

It's pretty simplified but all the major details are there

How accurate is this model compared to the models they used to film with?

This is so cool, Im wondering how easy it would be to add your own stand for it so it can be on display

This looks amazing!!! Can we get the LA-AT as one file as well?

Cimentals

So the 1:48 scale version is 337mm long and the tea light version is 540mm long so a little math means the tea light version is about 1:30 scale

Aaron Hughes

What scale would you say the tea light version is at?

Matt Dowis

At a 45 degree rotation. I could only fit 2 at a time

Aaron Hughes

How did you orient the turbine frame pieces to print on the x1?

Great choice! The Y-wing is iconic, and adding lights to anything is cool. :)

Watch me up it to 200% on the Neptune 3 Max.

Awesome! I have started to build fighters and ships to go alongside my grandfathers ww1&2 model planes that I inherited. Love your design and detail.
