[New Files!] Relic Primaris and Secundus helmets are finished!

Got some fun helmets for you guys today! The Relic Primaris and Secundus helmets have been added to the September Specialist rewards - further expanding our already massive 40k collection this month!

These helmets are organized a little differently. The Relic Secundus helmet (gold faceplate) is unique enough it's organized as a separate helmet. The Relic Primaris is basically just a mohawk down the center so it's only in the "Customizations" folder. Both versions of the mohawk have been added to that customizations folder as well.

Speaking of customizations we've also added another forehead attachment, which brings the total attachments to 11! Be sure to redownload the "Customizations V5" zip to have the latest version.

The Secundus includes assembled versions, Bambu Studio project and GCODE files, vacuum forming lenses (formed lenses are also available in the shop), a sizing slice to help scale, pre-cut parts for smaller printers, the whole schtick!

For those wondering how to do the plume let me tell ya! The holes in the mesh on the plumes are specifically sized for 1mm diameter broom bristles. Simply sacrifice a broom head and insert the bristles into the pre-modeled holes. Once you have all the holes filled you should be able to add bristles in-between friction fit style to further flesh out the plume. I'll be talking about the process in an upcoming tutorial video as well!

Hope you all enjoy! Be sure to stick around for a special announcement regarding a contest ideally on Friday!

Great Helmet! Do you recommend printing the bristles any particular way? My Bambu x1c doesn't seem to like it very much. lol

MIKE G

have you tried printing the bristles on the plume? i noticed there is files for it in the customization folder but im not sure how to go about printing them, especially on a bambu

Mykel Wyman

Can't seem to find them in the Google Drive folder, am I missing something?

Jeremy Hart

Is it coming really soooon? :D

Jordan Mc Garvey

I've got great news for you dude

Aaron Hughes

Please tell me tho...will you make the Heavy?

Jordan Mc Garvey

That’s good. I can get by with foam etc for cosplay but printing bits is so much easier and tends to look better. Helmets are amazing and fit me perfect but the thought of all that armour to make patterns and then make from foam is daunting but I’m going to need to do it now as can’t just have the helmets and weapons now lol. Thanks for all the great things you make and the 3mf files make my life even easier which as a disabled 52 year old is a good thing 😁

Craig Tough

Yes that's something we're considering!

Aaron Hughes

These helmets are really making me enjoy printing marine helmets again as it’s just so simple. Any chance of doing a nice suit of armour for those of us who want to go the whole hog without all the foam crafting lol

Craig Tough

The bristles I used are .8mm in diameter and should be pretty common

Aaron Hughes

Yeah it's always a possibility!

Aaron Hughes

Anyone else finding that all the 40k helmets that have been made by galactic armoury are to large, but you cant scale them down due to the opening for the helmet on the bottom being to small if you do?.

adam

Any plans for any of the classic firstborn marine helmets?

kmasht

for the plumage is there any specific size or just what we want to use?

Cerberus

Anyone think that window tint could work for the eyes? I have a vacuum former and can dye things, but I unfortunately do not have an airbrush so I can’t do the chrome on the inside of the eyes.

X_R3X

I’m so excited !

Joshua de La Torre

Send them to aaron@galacticarmory.net!

Aaron Hughes

Awesome. I have plenty of references via my minis if you need anything!

Jeremy Hart

Yes it's almost done!

Aaron Hughes

Luckily this version reuses a lot of primaris parts

Aaron Hughes

Always a chance down the line

Aaron Hughes

Yes! Both do

Aaron Hughes

Yeah I can look into that!

Aaron Hughes

These are excellent! Any chance (if not I can probably make it myself) of a horsetail plune option like the space wolf primaris lieutenant has?

Jeremy Hart

Does the mohawk plume fit on the other sm helmets you've done so far?

Coy Johanning

Amazing stuff. Love it. Any chance of some first born helmets?

Jesse P

How do you do this stuff so fast?

Recon Skimmer

Any chance at getting the chaplain helmet ?

Joshua de La Torre

Love this! Keep it coming! These are the BEST

Rob

These helmets are EPIC!!!
