2 new Flood figurine files have been added to the October Specialist rewards! In them you'll also find something unique we're trying out - 3d printed molds!
TUTORIAL VIDEO HERE: https://youtu.be/tYGgGcgKvhE
We used the molds with great success (after a bunch of failures) for the Impact Props collaboration video, be sure to watch it here if you haven't it was so much fun: https://youtu.be/ardLQ2wdrQs?si=PyEBAZo7138_P1-Q
To make the flood spore we used some latex masking skin directly on the printed parts then used a soft polyfoam to fill out the inside. We also put wires inside the tentacles and legs to make them both posable! I'm sad we made this to be torched because it was a really fun prop to have around. The soft polyfoam made the flood squishy and almost cuddly.
Like I said after some trial and error on our part we used the printed mold parts with great success. The majority of the print lines were filled in with the baby powder release we used and honestly you couldn't even see them. We were also able to re-use the printed molds! Meaning you could make as much of them as you want without the process of making a silicon mold.
Let me know what other printed molds you would like to see! Sadly it wouldn't work great for helmets but it does work great for little monsters or fleshy masks.
Hope you all enjoy!
