[New Files!] The Dead Space Armor set is here!
Added 2024-12-12 22:47:52 +0000 UTCBoth the Dead Space armor AND helmet has been added to the December Specialist rewards! I couldn't just add the armor set so the helmet has been re-released for monthly members.
I'm back from my trip, feeling exhausted, but wanted to get back into things with a big release and boy is this a big one! Back when we did the helmet I thought "Oh yeah, then we can do the armor set too no problem". Little did I know exactly how detailed and layered this armor set was, while also presenting multiple challenges like the display screens and spine construction.
Includes 91 pre-separated parts! All large parts have also been pre-cut to fit on smaller printers. Interlocking pieces have pre-modeled keys and tabs to help align and place each part.
The files are default scaled to fit around a 6' tall 200 lbs person.
They include some files that should not necessarily be 3d printed but work as a stand-in. The light strip down the spine for example. Parts of the spine are also numbered to help you keep them in order. The chest features slots for 3 semi-transparent plastic sheets.

If you load them all in to a program that retains positioning (like meshmixer) you can see how all the parts interlock and go together
