[Announcement] We collaborated with Trench Crusade! First batch of Cosplay files out now!

Video Announcement: https://youtube.com/shorts/oxWObTnJfDo

In our spare time a bunch of us at GA have been been enjoying painting minis from a new tabletop wargame called Trench Crusade.

TC as a setting is basically "What if hell opened up on Earth in the 1100's and we've been fighting ever since up to 1914". It's got a really interesting aesthetic of the forces of Heaven vs. Hell set in a WW1 style.

Well imagine our surprise when someone from Factory Fortress (makers of TC) reached out to us to make them some props! Needless to say we were over the moon. Apparently they knew us from our Helldiver videos but they wanted to give us a shot to make some of their display props for their booth at Adepticon in March.

We designed, printed, painted, and filmed it all - and the full video, plus extended Patreon tutorial, is coming real soon!

Factory Fortress were kind enough to also let us kick-start their cosplay community by releasing the models out to you all - exclusively on Patreon (for now)!

In it you've got:
- New Antioch Sallet Helmet
- Prussian Holy Hand Grenade
- Court of the Seven Headed Serpent Tablet
- Heretic Knife
- Heretic Helmet

Each file set includes all the typical GA niceties like assembled versions, pre-separated and keyed pieces, pre-cut parts, and Bambu Studio project and GCODE files.

We're humbled to have been chosen for this project and we're hoping to discuss a lot more projects with the fine folks at Factory Fortress. If you're not familiar with the material I'd recommend checking it out, they've got lots of incredible miniatures and factions to choose from: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/FactoryFortressInc?show=store

Hope you all enjoy!

How do we access the stl files?

Jay

Sorry to hear that! When we made the model for trench crusade we didn't make the mask until later which is why it's not keyed. What I'd recommend doing is gluing an elastic strap around the mask and then just wearing the helmet as normal.

So I just got my heretic trooper off the bed and put it together and I have to say if I paid for this thing I would be livid at this moment. It’s seriously the most unfinished piece I’ve seen come out from this gang that usually makes excellent user-friendly STL’s. this thing is so far from it. It needs some sort of registration inside the helmet, potentially magnetic holes to locate the under mask. Slots at the bare minimum or holes for strap d ring attachments. The under mask probably should be extended up like a Darth Vader helmet and linked in the helmet itself it just seems so unfinished in the thought process. It reminds me of like the 1980s vacu form Halloween masks. I’m usually not one to critique a builder, at least I didn’t drop any money on it. I was so excited and then equally disappointed. Not a bag on anyone but just end user gripes.

Chevy

Meh... maybe it's ok after all. With one of those black hood thingys, it should work. Probably will have to cut strap slots though.

Two dome parts and a face

Rob Brang

Is the heretic helmet separate from the mask or is it all one piece??

Leon Knight

Not sure if my face isn't shaped correctly, but anyone else think the heretic trooper face thingy is a bit small? I know it is meant to just be the face part, since it isn't much higher than the eyes. Trying to figure out a good paint for the face, I already have ideas and colors for the bucket part

Rob Brang

Oh god 😆

Adam

We actually pitched a life sized breaking wheel to them

soon, maybe some sweet faction minis...... *cough, trench ghost* AHHHEM, excuse me I had a tickle....

James Davis

Afraid not - didn't want to impose too much on their miniatures
