Card #100 + art book discussion

Right now the numbered card series is up to #86, and once we get to card number 100, I'd like to do something special! The question is what exactly?
• I know for sure that I want to collect the first 100 cards in an artbook. It's gonna be 200+ pages with each card featured next to the sketch/rough draft of the card. Plus a few bonus card illustrations (like the new years cards and some other stuff). But I'm not sure what to do for the cover. Maybe something referencing the "congratulations" scene from Eva? But with a few of the more popular characters featured in the cards. Maybe I should just settle on something simple and pick like 1 or 2 characters. Maybe Gotchapon and Giri? Anyone have some ideas? Comment below! I'd love to hear it.
• The other question is; What should I draw for card 100? Should it be special? Or just another in the series. Card number 1 was Raven, so maybe I could draw her again. Or it could be an OC of mine. Or it could be a group of featured characters, like this. But that's hard to fit in a small card, and might not look as nice. Anybody have ideas?
I'll probably make the card holo, and the site I use has some other options like golden edges that I'm considering too. I was also considering have Card 100 only available with the book, but with how long it'll take to raise the funds, print, and mail everything, we'd be way past 100 by the time anyone got it, haha. But maybe I could save the special holo/gold version of the card for a book exclusive? And have the normal version available like usual.
The way I've calculated it, I think I hit #100 with the 2nd card in October. Maybe what I pick for the subject can kind of theme into that..? The Halloween/goth cards are kinda mixed into the number series too. But I suppose I can just make sure to number those after 100. With funding/production times, the art book might not be available until end of the year or early 2025. I'm considering doing a whole kickstarter to cover the costs. Maybe I could add some bonus stretch goals. Even more cards?? haha
So, any thoughts? I'll gladly hear out any suggestions and ideas about what to draw for card 100 and for the art book cover!

I would love to get an art book based on each card! As someone who genuinely enjoyed the ending of Evangelion, I like the "congratulation scene" idea for the cover. One idea I had, is to make the cover look like a mock-up booster pack for your cards (so opening the book would be like opening a big booster pack). I think 100 should be specific to your ocs, while 101 could pay respect to the raven card.

2024-03-05 06:51:39 +0000 UTCFirst, I think the 100th card should be all of your ocs in a jellyfish pirates-type pose from strive (it should be a celebration of your work, not somebody else's). When it comes to funding, I think that kickstarter with stretch goals would be the best option!

2024-03-04 01:14:18 +0000 UTCConsidering it is a special #100th card of possibly others yeah I'd say the Sentiment of having your lead OC Skullhead taking the stage in their debit card all special and golden, I still remember when you first announced this project awhile back and been collecting just about every single one though I think I need to get some from last October but aside from that I look forward to seeing whatever Idea ya go forth with but like someone else mentioned your OCs at the front either with cards or something for a congrats or playing with your cards or etc would be a good card in itself or at least for the art book. And sorry for ranting and for you or anyone else who takes time to read this but thanks again for the time and work you put into making these cards and polls together to make such art it's been fun seeing and receiving each months set, and I hope ya been doing well Mike and hope ya been well and keep up the great work!!!

I'm also going throw out the idea of connecting card artwork across several card leading up to the 100th card. Or possibly looking into giving the 100th card some kind of special foiling or emboss.

2024-03-03 20:16:13 +0000 UTC1. I think it's neat that's your OCs presenting your cards. They're mostly your representatives when it came to your stickers and cards. 2. I'm gonna nominate Jinx for the 100th card, she fits the October theme and would celebrate the 100th card with a bang.
