[ARCHIVED] Forest Pixies

Hii!! Happy Release day!

I am so very excited to share these little friends with you! This release includes 3 unique forest pixies: Mushroom Pixie, Deer Pixie, and Moth pixie

They print without supports, they are small at 100% and I don't recommend scaling them down further, but they scale up well and I particularly love them in 150% scale which is the bigger size in the pictures

Although they print well with the standard 0.2 layer height I highly recommend printing them in a lower layer height like 0.16, as this will help improve the top surfaces and the overall look! For the Z seam I had set them to print with their feet pointing towards the front of the plate and the z seam set to "back right" in cura, this keeps the z seam minimally visible,  if you are using prusa slicer you can paint the z seam up the chin or along the top curve of the eye, increasing top layers to 6 will also ensure that the top surface prints well

I think that sums it up!

Purchased and Downloaded!

There isn’t a 3MF for the pixies unfortunately! Make sure to read the listing to see if a 3MF is available, I always include if there is one or not 🥰🥰

Christine

I bought the file on minifactory but I don't see the color file, Is it included?

Antonia Hernandez (Sheena)

I’ve though about doing that for sure! It’s a little late for these guys because i’ve already split them in half and building the other half would be a lot of work! But for the next set of pixies I will def save the full guys for resin!

Christine

Would you consider making them without the movable parts so they could be printing in resin too? They are adorable!

India Parker - Johnson

They do but not reliably! The mushroom is a bit of a balancing act because it’s top heavy, the others are easier to stand up! It needs to be on a completely flat surface as well! I am hoping to can make a little standing platform for them!

Christine

are they suppose to stand. it ried with the mushroom and i couldnt get it to. tx!

Wendy Medeiros

It’s UV curable resin! Im in the process of uploading a paint tutorial for the moth pixie which will have the bottle of resin i used!

Christine

When you're painting the eyes- I know you've said before that you use a resin to get the shine- what type of resin?

Tabba

They're so adorable and beautifully designed. I almost can't wait to stop printing spooky stuff to send these to the printer. Must stay on task! lol
