Painting Moth Pixie

Hii!! Happy Thursday!

I managed to sneak in a video of how I painted the moth pixie. I used the same technique in painting all of the pixies, with the exception of the bigger deer pixie which I used an airbrush on.

I wasn't able to narrate on what I was doing so im just going to make a couple points now:

> I mixed the Vallejo purple and the folkart acrylic paint to get a more pastel purple, then I just added the other white paints to the already mixed purple I had for the lighter colors. The final round of highlights I did with just the cottage white folkart acrylic paint.

> when working on highlights its good to work in 3 shades, the main color, then the same color but slightly diluted with white, and then for the final color i use just the white, but very little of it as it just adds a tiny bit of shine

> My paint brush was from a generic paint brush set from Wal-Mart, I found it to be really nice for dry brushing!

> Use thin layers! I cant stress it enough how important it is to use thin layers! Make sure to brush off almost all the paint from the brush, and only have enough paint to "stain' the model. Doing this will result in a very soft air brushed look. You can always add more paint if needed but you cant take paint away if you've used too thick coat.  So use thin layers. This applies to sponges as well.

> I used a small finger sponge, but if you have mini egg make up sponges those will work as well.

If you have any questions about painting don't hesitate to reach out to me ill be happy to help!

The bottle is UV resin! and the blue light is a UV flash light which I use to cure the resin! I bought my uv resin from my local craft store, and the flash light from amazon ๐Ÿ˜Š

I appreciate that ๐Ÿ˜Š

I donโ€™t recognize some of your tools? The resin stuff? The little brown jar with the white puffy top? And the glowy blue light? (See how technical I am? LOL). Would you mind telling me what those are specifically so I can buy them?
