Prequel to Master and WildDog W&W(1)

This is the prequel I designed while working on the third volume, and this is the first chapter.

In this story, the focus will be on depicting the interactions between Wildfire and Worshipson(suujinn).

This prequel refers to events that happened in the previous lives of these two characters, so it takes place in a completely different timeline from the main story.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a distant past, hidden in the depths of history, there once existed the largest vampire family.

The head of this family, known as "Father," required the strongest heir.

A group of nameless children was confined here.

Every day, these children had to learn a wide range of knowledge. Weekly, a test was held, with the subjects varying greatly. The children who fell behind were tied up, had a hood placed over their heads, and were taken away. Though no one ever explained, most children guessed the fate of those who were taken.

While others were consumed by fear, anger, or tears, only one child consistently stood out.

This child was always a step ahead, emotionless, calmly solving every challenge. Though he never intentionally harmed anyone, he repeatedly watched his companions fall behind, get taken away for being slower than him.

In the end, he was the last child standing, possessing intelligence, personality, thoughts, capabilities, and talents that were all flawless. Father finally allowed him to participate in the vampire ritual.

As Father bit his neck, the child's left pupil turned red, and he awakened to the unique vampire power known as the Blood Demon Technique. His technique was absolute control. Anyone who made eye contact with his left eye would be dominated, unable to resist. He could even adjust the degree of control so subtly that the victim would be entirely unaware.

"Wonderful… a power that allows you to control anyone with a mere glance…"

"Far stronger than my own ability!" Father's ability allowed him to turn others into zombies if they drank his blood and followed his command.

"This child is perfect. I will give him the best of everything!"

"I will provide him with the finest education, army, and environment!"

"Watch, werewolves. Watch, you cursed humans. Watch, all you vampire hunters. Before this child, you are nothing but a joke."

"From now on, you are my child."

This child was later named Worshipson(suujinn), which means "the one to be worshipped."

Over time, the 16-year-old Worshipson gained the capability to lead numerous subordinates, eliminating threats to his family.

One day, in a slave coliseum, Worshipson encountered him—a werewolf.

After some investigation, Worshipson deduced that this boy was likely the lost prince of the werewolf clan, now an orphan due to war. He was forced to fight in the slave market for entertainment.

This boy, named Wildfire by his master, which means "an uncontrollable fire ignited in the wild".

He, who was supposed to be nameless, became Worshipson.

He, who was supposed to have a title and status, fell and became Wildfire.

Worshipson spent a large sum to purchase Wildfire, making him his personal bodyguard, merely on a whim.

"Don't tell anyone you're a werewolf. Don't let anyone know you can transform. I want you by my side as my companion," Worshipson said.

Wildfire was surprised that Worshipson knew his secret.

"Why did you buy me?" Wildfire asked.

"Heh, sometimes I don't even know what I'm thinking," Worshipson smiled. He reflected on how he had unknowingly overcome countless challenges placed upon him by others.

"Maybe you're just the challenge I want to give myself," he said, half-responding, half-talking to himself.

"Do you not trust this vampire in front of you?" Worshipson asked.

Wildfire hadn’t expected the man to admit his true nature so openly.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Worshipson said.

Initially, Wildfire was very wary, remaining silent and cold, his face hardened from years of killing. However, he soon became a reliable bodyguard.

"You're injured again."

"Next time you're hurt, tell me. Let me dress your wounds."

"...These small injuries will heal on their own."

Suddenly, Worshipson embraced Wildfire.

"But I want you to be well. You're my most important bodyguard. If you died one day, I would cry."

"…"

"If I died, would you cry?" Worshipson asked.

"Who knows? Maybe I'd laugh instead."

"Heh, you wouldn’t. You couldn’t bear to."

(To be continued)

Currently, these are just sketches, but I will continue to update them, offering deeper insights into these two characters."
