I thought I leave these tips and and tricks for those interested in how I achieved this piece. Please enjoy—Reference Here!

When drawing your guide, always remember your center. Your center line ONLY indicates your point of reference. So When drawing the face for example, this face isn’t necessarily facing us. However, you should be able to use the tip of the nose as a point of reference to find the center of the face. This doesn’t mean you can draw the face only using your center reference since the the face can hold multiple shapes and curves. So, as you can see I used the the nose bridge ( in red ) curvature as a second guide of centering— this helped to indicate that face is at a 3/4 turn. Since I have those (2) guides I can now draw my brows and eyes guides.
But if you also have an issue looking for the best placement for the eyes, brows and nose— drawing a Mask ( in pink) can help. Draw two ”D“ horizontally and in opposite directions facing each other— you’re able to indicate the natural curvature of the face created in between the forehead and cheekbones.

Abstract > waveform to outline & detailing | Paint > Flat Brush to color

Liquify > Using the push option, and replicating the motions above— the goal is to create the swirls in the hair to follow a certain direction before doing the detailing and help minimize some of the work. DONT FORGET TO… blend the curls just a little.

Lastly to help with cork screw curls— “C” shapes and this pattern on where you should thicken/ create heavier curls should help.
