Art study | Recap pt 2

Welcome back to part two of my old art studies, as promised— more art studies.

So, I wont have you waiting— let talk about this one time i wanted to prove to people I was ambidextrous.

You‘re left handed and thats okay.

I really thought I was going to set a trend by, letting people know I could draw with my left hand. Now most people are like okay, but aren’t left handed?

Fun fact: About 70%-95% of the population claims to be right handed with the remaining halves be Left handed and ambidextrous.

But, NOPE! I’m technically ambidextrous. When I was a child, my great aunt told me she was ambidextrous and I wanted to teach my self to utilize both of my hands — I  immediately started practicing with my left hand For over the next several years. I did eventually stop practice constantly. Though, weeks become days and days became week and so forth, I overall just stopped. However, I managed to get to the point in my life and sadly attempted this, LOL. So, yea it was a major fail but, sad at the time.

Kehlani

But moving on to the and only… Kehlani. If you’ve been following me for a while— you’d know I Love me some kehlani and I glad to say they loves themselves some of my art. Ive have many encounters with them throughout my career on Insta. So when the single “ Nights like this” came out, along with the music video—

I wanted to jump on the fan girl’n and wanted to do a quick study. The album was amazing if your wondering.

But this would spark a series of other celeb studies. It wa a beautiful transition to introduce you all with some of the art changes to coming.

Billie eyelash

So, at this time I was also in my sad gal era. This was the year I also lost my last job before this previous job I had. I was making steps to changing my life style again and Ms. Billie Eyelash, was really making good crying music.

LOL, her edgy demeanor was like, life time when I needing it and I had to draw these icon images .

Wendy

I was also blessed this year with a sewing machine ( for the second time in my life — my very first one was a Bratz sewing machine) and lived on YouTube, I mean lived!

This Fashion designer and professional thrifter, WithWendy. I would learn over the course of that year what to look for when thrifting, how to make a shirts, patterns and etc. thankful for her time and amazed by her success— I did a study.

Also if you’ve been keeping up and noticing the niche and trend I started with was— the crystals. I really wanted my focus to be around crystals and this magical aesthetic. My brand on a bigger scale is concept and character design. Im hoping to discover a more simplistic, practical art style to use for animation.

Lip study

HEADS UP| There will be a part 3. But to give the post a bit more color, here’s a lip study.

So for one of our very first few post here in on patreon, I mention where I got the two toned lip characteristic from— Kim Possible. So every once in a while I like making a more detail and more realistic piece and felt the need to do a style study. I even decided to play with shape and size.

And as promised here’s a mini tutorial called , Draw with lang . A segment I started where I try to teach. But for obvious reasons I was unable to continue ( LOL).
