Okay, lets get this started as mentioned in prior post, I’m attempting to aim for a more story-telling, disciplined, hyper focus type month of art, as possible. Lastly, starting off with a illustration reveal of Caleb and Girassol.
I’ve managed to display the first 3 characters ( Luna, Girassol and Caleb) and I’m hoping to start the very first couple mini poll idea our patreon character of that month. But for now let focus on the girl Luna as I go the thought process and art breakdown of Luna.
So the sketch of her is quite simple and as I Discussed prior the first step isn’t suppose to be the prettiest. But my ref was based off of story I had in mind of the characters sorta just now discovering their powers. So these pieces are going to be framed with the Panel comic look.

Displaying, Steps (2-3), finding a outfit was the hardest part of this entire piece ( besides trusting the process— we’ll come back to later). I was also hoping not to be school girlish, prep school. These characters though young adults are still any age of 20-25. So, I’m hoping throughout the weeks we can get a better answer of what the characters styles are.

When trying to frame this piece I really want to aim for this discovery and interest type moment— I rarely don’t background and honestly quite struggle because I don’t practice. So this month though the background won;t be extraordinary— obviously they will be different to all of you. SoI hope that you enjoy this month effort as I learn to make more story telling visual pieces.

The color is what really took me. I’m so use to constructing characters— that now trying to gain the habit of doing more for the pieces— I also want to focus on a more discipline color palette. So starting off with the (7) main colors I chosen for Luna— I decided to only use these colors throughout the image.

I really wanted to focus on the disciplining myself on using this color palette and to keep this balance and coordination wit in this piece ( something I typical don’t do for some reason.

I can’t wait to see what this piece will look like once rendered ( if I go into a deep rendering). But till then, I chat with you all later
