So, just to make sure I can Finish the concept art for Tomorrows poll over on instagram and my commissions. I will be breaking this art breakdown in (2) parts. There will also be a reminder post for the poll over on my insta ( that poll will determine next months theme).
So just to get started and provide a reminder, Art breakdowns are not tutorials and will not include very much details about how to but, instead giving you all a basic understanding of my art process(madness).

During this session, it took me (7) layers to get to the main frame started. Breaking the layout down into (3) major sessions for (3) different layers— I used the selection tool along with the rectangle selection option to achieve this basic look.

This is a mini break down of how many layers I used specifically for this segment. I have listed — the filters I have on each layer and the order.
As shown above, I assume a lot of people think I would have pre selected colors and tools when doing pieces. That is very far from the truth. Despite me using different colors throughout an array of color pallets provided by procreate and tinkering with the layer filters to achieve most of the details in a piece— I have a very few colors selected. Now saying this — This would be true based for Each sections. Overall I think I use Up to 15- 21 colors for an entire piece give or take. I mention this because, just in case any of you decided to take this piece on— be aware that I choose these colors based of common knowledge and knowing/testing how the layer filters interact with color/tones. I also play with hue saturation, and brightness + gradient map option in procreate.

We’ll be focusing on the main frame— which will be broken down in to (2 sections). Then in part (2) the min french doors and Window pane. Now I’m not that well rounded about windows and their terminology but, we’ll be focusing on the outside frame and the inner frame that contains the window pane (embedded/ built around for support.)

These are the tools used throughout these next steps ( they are all default brushes from procreate):
I focused on using tools 4,2, and 3 for step (2). I’m mainly focusing on placement detailing and shading.

The detail was created by using the same selections tool technique. Making smaller thinner rectangles
While I added these colors, Im blending some of the texture out ( mainly the edges) and bringing out the values throughout this section. At this point I’ve duplicated the main layer twice { layer (3) } and started to tinker/manipulating with the layer filters.

The last step for tonight post—- I would then use 2 layers to create the finer details and would start using the tool (1) to achieve the look. Only blending when It feels necessary.

In the next part— will focus more on the French doors section and the details with in the window pane. I hope so far that this was enough to get a window started for those interested and I hope to see a few. till later— Leave a comment down below to ask questions About the project or what ever you feel like, tbh
