Holoprojector Servo published! (and instructions).

Holoprojector plans, instructions and STLs all published, both in Patreon and Public share. I've added a servotest sketch for the Arduino / adafruit 16 channel board, but it's only an example. Once I've got it all working with the Padawan 360 I'll publish my code but I'm certainly not a programmer however it may help. Enjoy as always and happy printing!

Comments

Thanks Ben, this is the first published one, I'll do improve based on ideas and comments so I'll tweak it soon. (On vacation at the mo, back this weekend :-)

Yeah I guess so. Oh and by the way, fabulous job on all of this.

Ben W Bell

The front holes are 2.5mm and the holes are 4.5 on the back.

Michael Baddeley

Like a countersink hole around the larger holes to sink the screws?

Michael Baddeley

Cheers for that. I'm actually curious as to how to screw the two halves together. The front piece has small holes for the screws to bite into, which is nice, however the back piece has large holes that go the entire way through. This seems to mean that I'd need to use very long screws with a wide head in order to go through the bulk of the back plate. I was wondering should there be a lip inside the screw holes on the back plate piece, abutting the front piece (sorry for lack of technical terms) for the head to rest against, say a couple of mm thick? As the large holes are a uniform diameter the entire way through the model. Or do I have an older model?

Ben W Bell

Ah, well spotted. It won't have the filament hole in either. Didn't update it as I revised the model, will do this weekend as I'm away at the moment. For the screws I used small self rappers, sorry not got the exact size as I have loads of different small screws which aren't labelled however the holes are for 3mm wide screws.

Michael Baddeley

Also I notice that the ServoHinge_8mm.stl doesn't have holes in it for the screws unlike the regular ServoHinge.stl

Ben W Bell

What screws are you using to hold the two parts of the mounting together?

Ben W Bell

Thanks, I'm printing this system out now! I use Flthys holoprojectors and changed the base to mount his stuff to, plus use use the post you provided.
