I don't think I've done terribly much with anyone but Malfaren- most of his content is currently behind his hypno. To get him to hypnotize you, you need to run away from him after getting close once until he gets bored. When he gets bored, stand just out of range near the side of the screen until he taunts you again- the second taunt will result in him giving you the hypno eyes. Currently unfinished, but hoo boy it was a lotta work just for all the effects and whatnot in this sequence.
