And oh my goodness, I've been waiting so long (years, in fact) to get to this moment so I could introduce you guys to the invading hyena matriarch... Baya! Her name means "wicked in Swahili", but is she really so bad? Well...
And yes that is a lion skin throw rug Baya's laying on. She was Pule (designed by Wolf-Chalk), Noka's mother. Maybe that answers the question about Baya's "badness"?
(Also, "Usu" means "shut up" in Swahili. I did a little homework to find that one.)

I figured usu meant something like shut or be quiet or silence. The wilder beast being there gives me bad omen... and the canyon...
