Because I've been behind in posting Brothers pages this month, please have an exclusive look at an original concept/alternate (or deleted?) scene that was the first pass of page 64. You can see the final and completed page as it's canon to the story here:

Why the change? This was before I realized I wanted to bring Rehema in at this part of the story. It made more sense to me to do this based on some things that would happen later on in the story. (And it's fun to tease you guys. ;) ) I also think the final page 64 flows a lot better overall. (Also I wasn't sure what to do with that poor hyena Ahadi pounced on. Did he... die?!)

And because my handwriting is often hard to read and my sketch was faded by the time I scanned it, here's the dialogue for you, panel by panel. :)

Panel 1: Taka: WAAAAAAAH!! [Taka screams from the thorns scratching his face open]

Panel 2: Hyena 1: That's right! Scream! SCREAM! Then we will find you!

Panel 3: Hyena 1: And we're not "lion"! [he laughs]

Panel 4: Hyena 1: [laughter slows] That's funny. What? Why aren't you laughing? I'm hilarious.

Panel 5: Ahadi: [ROAR]
Hyena 2: Yipe!
Hyena 1: AHHHHAHH!!

Panel 6: Sarabi: What's that?
Mufasa: It's my dad!

Panel 7: Mufasa: Taka! Dad's here! We'll be okay now. Taka? Are you hurt bad?

Panel 8: Mufasa: Taka...?
