So this has been an interesting experiment!
I decided to start off my Patreon efforts with 2 stories posted at the same time, Medusa and An Inhuman Love (AIL), and I've been monitoring the stats of the two stories since.
The pattern is clear. People are much quicker to even CLICK on AIL than Medusa. But the ones who click Medusa get much more invested. Percentages are the respective quantity measured against total views. You can see Medusa gets a higher percentage in every field.

I can understand the click discrepancy. AIL and its subtitle 'The Banished Centaur' is so much straightforward and obvious about what the story is about. It's the other differences I'm confused about.
The higher amount of favorites for AIL suggest that of the population that read AIL, nearly the same percentage of them are favoriting the story compared to Medusa, but not as much. And a lower again percentage of them are rating the story. And a MUCH lower percentage are commenting on it.
AIL = guilty pleasure everyone can enjoy and then forget about?
Medusa = committed endeavor that people are less likely to click but more likely to get attached to?
