Future Stories Sneak Peek and Discussion

So you'll see in my goals that I mention I want to write multiple SAGAs, and that I have lots of ideas for sagas.

I don't want you readers to think that I'm going to write a bunch of short, 4-5 chapter sagas though. If you're going to get committed to a series, you want it to last, right? You get attached to the characters, and you want to see them build up over multiple events, intersect with many scenarios, characters, and you want to see them enjoy sexual adventures, either romantically or for fun.

So I wanted to tell you that the sagas I plan to write are actually plenty long. Maybe not 2 million words "3SM" long, but they'll be long. (2,000k words translates to about 20 normal-length novels btw)

So, what am I planning:

"Medusa: Fate's Game" will last anywhere from 13-17 chapters, or about 300k words. Then I'm moving back to "My Little Ventrue" UNLESS my readers would prefer I do not. I get the impression from most fans that they really want to see more of Jack and Antoinette, and I can write a couple more novels worth of chapters for it (or about 200k words. For reference, the MLV story on Literotica, P1 and P2 combined, is 220k words). After that, more MLV may be possible, it'll depend on how the story evolves, and what the readers want. I'm very wary of sequelitis.

"An Inhuman Love" will only continue as long as readers enjoy it. I enjoy writing these chapters as a good brain break, and writing monster/human romance/sex is fun. But if my readers think they're a waste of time, and don't like the delay between SAGA chapters, I'll abandon them. This is a 2-way street after all, you guys&gals are paying to get involved in my decisions, and I enjoy working with your feedback in my creation process.

And for the future SAGAs, here's a list of my most developed ideas:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SAGA 1: A military SciFi, violent, fun, but sometimes sad and emotional. Think the movie Starship Troopers (not the book though, bleh!). The difference though, is instead of fighting alien bugs, the humans are fighting a demon invasion.  The two main characters (a brother and sister, both small and feisty hotheads), are involved in this war, and they work their way up the ranks as the war rages. Not only that, but as the war wages on, these two characters become more and more involved with the demons they're fighting.
So, sexual kink: while the sexual content starts off human/human, eventually non-humans get involved. :3
Expected length: 200-300k words.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

SAGA 2: A post-apoc story, very Mad Max. The key theme here is the relationship between a young man, and three ancient cyborgs he awakens. So, military cyborgs willing to help this young man means the power balance of terrorizing groups suppressing the locals shifts. Adventure across the wasteland ensues.

The key sexual element here is the boy, the cyborgs, and the fact they're cyborgs. They'll actually look like Warframe characters, so very much like this:

And it's not armor, it's their actual skin. The skin can 'soften' outside of combat, to become soft like normal skin, complete with all the normal functions of a human body (because they're cyborgs, not robots).  This may not be to everyone's taste (sex with cyborgs), so I won't tell this SAGA unless my readers vote for it.

Expected Length: 200-300k words.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SAGA 3: A supernatural horror set in a Gothic, Victorian-inspired fantasy world. THIS is my biggest story, THIS is my best world, and THIS is the essence of my favorite storytelling elements combined. BUT, the issue with this story is that it doesn't lend itself to sexual content easily. There will be sex, but it'll mostly be slow-building sex, and the romances will take time to build along with it (similar to how Jack and Antoinette took an entire novel before they had sex, this story would be slow-paced with a lot of its sexual/romantic relationships).
The key focus is on a young boy, barely a man, and how his world gets turned upside down in the most horrible way. He's pulled into a world of monsters, ghosts, undead curses, and vampires. Think "My Little Ventrue" meets "Bloodborne" meets "TV's Supernatural." The story is about vampires that hunt monsters, and it's a dark tale. The only thing NOT dark about this tale is the main character, the boy who's a ray of goodness in a brutal and bloody world of necromancy, horrible monsters, dead gods, and hungry shadows.
This SAGA is a huge commitment. I'm prepared to write it, but it will definitely require a reader vote, because it'll take many chapters to finish.
Here's an Imgur album I've put together of images that I use for inspiration or reference. Gamers, you may notice most of the art is from Bloodborne:
Expected Length: 700-900k words (yes, it'll be damn long)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And that's the plan for the future stories! I have other ideas, but they aren't developed enough to share. Some lend better to a single chapter in "An Inhuman Love," while others may work better as a SAGA. I'll let you know more in the future.

Comments

I believe you have said it before but I really enjoy the switch of the standard male Dom female Sub relationship with Jack and Annie. It is a very nice change of pace especially in the fantasy genre. Not to mention the whole world you have created and the various political/religious factions. It is almost like a small town in a way, everyone knows everyone else and has for a long time and they all have some kind of history together. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. Still amazing to see how you weave everything together (: I'm (eagerly) looking forward to read the next season of MLV!

Thanks! But I can't take all the credit for that. Dolareido, the characters within, their histories with each other, and the history of the city are all mine. But the vampire mechanics, bloodclans, and the covenants groups, are taken directly from Vampire: the Requiem. If you enjoyed concepts like Ventrue, Daeva, Nosferatu, Mekhet, and Gangrel, I can't take credit for those. Same goes for Ordo Dracul, Lancea et Sanctum, Invictus, Carthians, and the Circle of the Crone. These are concepts owned by Paradox Interactive and White Wolf. If you want to craft your own story in this universe, I do strongly recommend checking them out. Everything in their tabletop ruleset for 'Chronicles of Darkness' is amazing.

Yes, i love MLV too! I like Jack and Antoinette, but the draw was more about the fantasy world you created. It so rich, so much "history", so much depth. I also like the psychology of the characters you depicted in the story. This may sound a little philosophical, but i think that when you can live for a long time and has the ability to seduce humans as and when you like, then the view of sex changes. Kinda like the Netflix show Altered Carbon. And that's something i see you're (maybe) trying to portray as well. I love how there's just so much thought that goes into the world you have created, and I can't help get sucked into it. As for your SAGA, i would choose SAGE 3 (:

People love dat MLV! I had no idea readers would enjoy Jack and Antoinette so much when I created them (assuming that it's those two that you like about the series. They seem to be the fan favorites)

Novus Animus

All good ideas/concepts, if I had to give an order of preference i would say SAGA 2 then 3 then 1. But I am still looking forward to more MLV :)
