Status Update 3

So my studio just started mandatory overtime (I'm a video game dev). As if working 40 hours solid a week, and writing 20 hours a week wasn't hard enough. This is why I want to quit so bad, and focus on writing. I can write 50+ hours a week and be damn happy doing it!
So what's that mean for Medusa? Well hopefully nothing. I still plan to hit my 16k-word minimum per chapter, and still plan to hit all my release dates. I don't expect this overtime to last very long, maybe 4 weeks at most, but you never know. In either case, my chapters will probably only be 16k until the overtime is over.
POINT 2: In other news, as Tier2+ know, I've decided to stop the "An Inhuman Love" series. Sorry for any patrons who were excited for various monster/human romance stories, I completely understand if you leave because of it. I've decided to focus on the big saga stories instead. It just makes more sense. It was unfair to ask people to be patrons when I was writing two stories. This way, people who become patrons become so specifically to support the one story I'm working on.
POINT 3: Story plans! So, Medusa will probably be about 15 chapters, give or take a couple depending on how some scenes flesh out. It gets pretty epic.
POINT 4: Then, My Little Ventrue! I'm going to expand on this story a fair bit, with Patron-wide votes on character arcs in the future, and input from Tier2 discussions about MLV. This will be my focus for some time, I imagine. It's a whole city filled with vampires (and other dark things I've yet to bring up), so there's plenty of room for expansion, new stories, new characters, character arcs, etc.
There is a problem with MLV though, and that's that it's a setting I created using Vampire: the Requiem, which is a ruleset owned by White Wolf and Paradox Interactive. Vampire: the Requiem is a part of the Chronicles of Darkness collection by the way, and everything in that is amazing. Go check out their stuff!
So Dolareido, and its characters like Jack and Antoinette, I created them, but the bloodclans and covenants? They belong to White Wolf. Which means that, even though everything I write is available for free, White Wolf does have the legal high ground if they wanted me to stop. I doubt they'd ever do that, people make money from fan art all the time, and fan fiction is no different. But you never know, so I thought I should mention it.
POINT 5: And then there's what comes after! With votes and discussion, we can choose what saga I write after MLV (MLV will get PLENTY of content before this happens though). What comes after MLV will be a patron-wide vote, but I have a feeling readers would prefer I work on a saga with a LOT of story and content. And that would be Nighthunters (working title).
Nighthunters is a setting I've been working on for half a year. It's a Gothic fantasy horror about vampires who hunt beastly things in the night. There's elements of MLV in it, and the MLV-ish characters, but also elements of stories like Berserk, Bloodborne, Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, and similar.
You can check out my Imgur album here, where I collect art that I use for inspiration. It's good stuff if you want to see what sort of vibe Nighthunters would have: https://imgur.com/a/hRhpp
Here's hoping the future goes well! I'm going to be quitting my job, one way or another. The 200$ goal would be great, but sooner or later I'm going to quit my job anyway, and start writing full time. Gonna write write write and make this work!
