I'm sorry. :( Problematically, chapters lend naturally to frequent cliffhangers. There's an up and down flow to chapters (start calm, end on tension, or start on tension, end calm), so to maintain quality narrative flow, cliffhangers happen almost spontaneously. I'd never end a book/part on a cliffhanger, but chapters? Can't be avoided. :(

2019-06-19 04:42:28 +0000 UTCcliffhanger endings for a chapter usually are fine with me... It just means I don't stop until the book is done. With stories I get chapter by chapter it makes me wanna throw things. There are entirely too many times where you can throw us off the cliff. ; ;
