April Exclusive 2: Mixed Martial Artist
Added 2020-04-22 15:06:38 +0000 UTC
Hello everyone,
As I mentioned earlier this month, to celebrate my birthday I wanted to make you two exclusives instead of one. I was happily surprised this month to see an idea I'd had for a long time but had been putting off, the martial artist pugilist. I think I've done a good job excising most of the monk esotericness from the archetype while still letting it feel like a version of the pugilist that means into the monk themes. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for your ongoing support,
Benjamin
I'm so glad you like it!

Oh gosh, I can't believe I didn't make it clear—when you enter a stance, you end any previous stance you were in. You don't need to take any action to deactivate a stance, just entering a new stance deactivates the old one.
2.) Each time you enter the stance you choose the element so on subsequent turns you could use a bonus action to re-enter the stance choosing a new element.

This is really cool! I have a couple questions:
1) Can you switch to a different style once you’ve activated one, or do you have to deactivate the style you currently have active first?
2) Can you change the element in four elements stance, or can you only pick your element at the start?

Purely for narrative reasons. It makes little sense that you'd be walking around your daily life in your stance the same way boxers don't walk around with their gloves up hopping around.

Why does the stance have a time limit if there's no limit to the number of times you can use it?
