Help With Story Plot
Added 2023-11-27 11:42:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone, I've been thinking this over for the last few weeks and have been struggling a little bit with a good plot for the Country Girls catfight. I have the basis of it down (where it will take place, who's fighting, as well as potential setups for future stories in this universe), but I'm unsure of the exact reason these girls are fighting. Here's what I have so far and I'd like to know if you like it as it is, or if you have any recommendations for minor changes. My main concern is that it is yet another fight over a guy, and I feel as though it's quite an overdone concept, but I do like the premise and if you guys do too then I'll go ahead with that plot, if not be sure to let me know your ideas below!
THE PLOT:
In the large range of the mountains and fields were two rival family farms. Decades of rivalry and hatred have been building as each family attempts to put the other out of business. Mothers fighting mothers, and daughters fighting daughters were all too common over the last 90 or so years. The local Sherriff's are aware of this long lasting feud, and are often quick to act when a fight breaks out in town.
Meet Poppy and Heather, the next generation to continue on this long lasting family feud. As you would expect, they have been taught by their families to hate each other, often getting into physical fights during school, and in their older years at the local bars and hangouts.
The local town here is quite small, there's not a lot of new faces to be seen. Which is why when a new, young Sheriff arrives in town it sparks quite the competition. One that can only be settled... At The Range.
