2020-09-08 06:51:40 +0000 UTCoh, or as an idea for a mini-mini-comic Mr Harrison/Mr Cortese saying something on one of the lessons and Warlock going "oh, wow, this sounds exactly like something my Nanny/our Gardener used to say to me", and this brings back good memories to tutors, and they spend the evening remebering all the best moments of the past β€οΈ

2020-09-06 06:04:31 +0000 UTCi did some digging... when i read the books, i thought nanny ash, brother francis and both tutors were minions. and i couldn't think then, to whom harrison or cortese were refering to. turns out, like brother francis/saint francis of assisi, cortese is easier. there has been artist, cristoforo cortese, who has done illustration to religious texts in 15th century venice. harrison is harder, with out first name all i got was harrison ford and george harrison... but... if you go with tv canon, where they aren't minions, but az and crowley harrison and ashtoreth are really fitting. ashtoreth was thought to be goddess of magic and stars (esp. evening evening star, venus) - sounds like somebody crowley would borrow a name from, right? and his obsession with coolness and james bond. why not idolize harrison ford, too? xD

Then on the same day they hand in their notice, and (unbeknownst to the Dowling family) come back the next day as Warlock's new tutors, Mr. Cortese and Mr. Harrison, who remain until his 11th birthday.

In addition to going to restaurants Harrison and Cortese could go on picnics and visit museums and go to plays and symphonies and operas....
