Truce (minicomic wip)
Added 2020-09-12 18:45:03 +0000 UTCI’ve had this book/tv show mash up in my head for a while and I thought while I get settled into my new job you might appreciate this mini comic. 15 pages of some ancient misunderstandings!
In the books it is heavily implied that Crowley and Aziraphale have spent a lot of time discorporating each other before they become friends, and in the tv show there is a 1000 year gap between the wall and the ark. So what happened in those 1000 years that made them call a truce?

Honestly, I wish their petty little discorporating fights were more explored in fic, it's one of the funniest mental images for me, though I tend to imagine it being more funny then actually horrible. XD More inconveniencing and irritating each other with all that paperwork for thousands of years, which slowly turned over time into a sort of begrudgingly friendly competition with each other, until finally they were just like "Look, can we not this time? I just had a very difficult week, and I'd rather we have a break for a while." "Yeah alright. I think Dagon's getting irritated with me for it, anyway. They keep adding more and more forms that I have to fill out before they let me come back." "Oh, dear, I'm terribly sorry to hear that! Gabriel seems to have gotten the same idea himself, actually. Strange, that they're making the same policy changes at the same time..." "Mrrrh. Yeah."

It was sort of solidified for me when we see aziraphale without a corporation in heaven and he still looks like himself. Obviously if you’re going by books rules it can be whichever you like, but that’s how I always figured it 🤷🏻♀️
