I just love the idea that it took Crowley forever to put two and two together and realize that the thing he noticed humans seem to do recreationally also had another purpose (and that it applied to animals as well). And he would NEVER admit to Aziraphale how long it took him to figure it out, because Aziraphale didn’t sleep through the presentation and has known all about the birds and the bees from the beginning (he also knows that Crowley didn’t know for the longest time, but doesn’t want to embarrass him).
