But he's also saying it won't affect Song, that Song doesn't need to get involved because he's not interested in the politics of the court. (Worth noting the difference between being uninterested in what your bf does and how what he does affects him. Song knows enough about Mansa's job to know marrying him isn't done and cares more about that than immediately saying yes.)
