So this is the end of the Minicomic but not the end of their story by a long shot! If weβre going to put it on a GO timeline this is basically the 1960s holy water breakup scene. Mansa just... went to fast for Song. The actual story begins about four or so years later with them coming together to accomplish a shared goal!
I will answer all questions you leave below and Iβll definitely be drawing more of their pre-main-storyline adventures!
(And if youβre wondering what becomes of the ring Mansa wears it on a chain around his neck after Song disappears... he misses his inf so much...)

Absolute heartbreak thinking heβs done something wrong (which he kind of has, just a bit, they didnβt really talk anything over) but he wonβt actively try to hunt Song down once he searches for him in his usual spots. Heβll respect Songβs choice. 3. They mainly stay out of each otherβs close circles, but mansa is close with Songβs sister and her husband. 4. Iβll just say he has an ex and spends a lot of time with his sister. 5. Song was kind of single... and Mansa learns the significance but Song really doesnβt like to revisit unpleasant memories. Heβs all about the now. 6. Yes and yes! 7. The promotion set it in motion, but at that point theyβd been together so long marriage was just a label. But the idea of the other judges being down on Mansa because of him just scared Song away.

What does Song think will happen when Mansa wakes up and finds him gone? (we know he's more of a throw-dynamite than plan sort of infernal but) Does he intend for Mansa to move on? Or does he intend to come back to him after "improving" himself, and did he leave any other indication behind? Where does he go after 10 years being with Mansa? 2. What was Mansa's actual reaction, other than wearing the ring on a chain (ohgodmyheart)? Did he assume he'd been totally rejected and not try to find Song, or did he go looking for him to try and fix it? 3. What did they know about each other's worlds - other than Mansa being wherever Song was in the first place when Song tried to pick him up, and Song going with Mansa to fancy parties, did they have any other interaction with each other's worlds/family/social circles? 4. What did Song do before he met Mansa, and what friends or hobbies did he fill his days with for 10 years when Mansa wasn't around? 5. Was Song single when he met Mansa? (He tried to pick Mansa up, but he was in a relationship when he came to be patched up - did he get attacked because he wanted to end that relationship to be with Mansa? Did Mansa know the significance of the horn deco?) 6. Does Song stay single in the 4 years after he leaves Mansa? Does he still wear the necklace on his horn? 7. What inspired Mansa to propose? Was it that he'd gotten the promotion (was there a special reason he was promoted so suddenly?) and felt secure in his career, or was it that he didn't want anyone else but the social pressure would be too much if he wasn't married? (oh god this got so long I'm so so sorry obvs no expectations for answering any or all of these but I'd love to know whatever you'd like to share!)

I have mainly one question tbh - does.. does Mansa KNOW Song loves him even after he leaves? I just.. It's no secret Song is my favourite by far and it hurts me so much to see him breaking his own heart like that, but at least he knows Mansa loves him, even if he obviously doesn't think he loves him enough... πππ Also, when are we getting more of them please?

The fact that we don't see Song actually leave, just this shot of the room, Mansa sleeping so peacefully in the background and with Song's ring in clear focus on the foreground...my heart hurts.
