It’s not being overly emotional—it’s part self-preservation, part knowing human nature (by watching/experiencing people), and part really fast brain. He’s not just angry, he’s devastated because he’s smart (book and people smart). I’m assuming that Mansa plays but the rules—moral codes of society, etc. Yet Song has lived his entire life outside those codes because society has criminalizes his race and profession. Song—stay feisty! Mansa, get it together, brah!!!
