Military Days
Added 2021-05-04 19:03:02 +0000 UTCI've talked a lot about Song, but not a ton about Mansa! First, that's Thomas beside him. The two met in the military when Mansa joined at 18, he definitely saw action but he is a gentle soul and it wasn't a good fit. He was 23 when he and Thomas were stationed in the unnamed city (I'll get around to naming it eventually!) that he lives in now. The two left the military but stayed in the city, using their military pay to study criminal justice, and they are currently both on track to be judges. (And yes I am implying that Mansa can use a sword)
Their relationship is purely platonic. Honestly... they're just sort of friends because of close proximity, they probably wouldn't hang out otherwise. I don't know if you'll like Thomas he's... got a lot of issues that manifest in unsavory ways 😬

Does he have uncontrolled afro-curls if he doesn't create these rolls? Or do they form naturally like that - like a form of corkscrew curls? Or - does he use some kind of wig, like men often used a few centuries ago?

He actually used to be a woman when I was in high school and had first come up with Song... then I came out and was like “yeah Song’s not straight”. The conflicts are mainly resource driven, and nothing that is critical to the plot. Thomas started as a judge and Mansa as an enforcer but Mansa quickly changed track!
